Ipsy Glam Bag X November 2021 Choice Time!

SO STOP SENDING ME THIS IM SIGNING OUT OF THIS U SEND ANY THING FOR DEC ILL SEND IT BACK .. ARE WE ALL UNDERSTANDING WHAT IM SAYING.. IVE TRY CALLING SINCE 1OF THIS MO STAYED ON PHONE FOR HOURS NEVER GOT ANYONE.. THANK U Caroline

My chosen products and choices were EXACTLY the same as yours. Pretty upset about the choices and the fact that NOBODY seems to have gotten the perfume. Sketchy. Super sketchy.

Slight aside: I was very happy with my hooda mystery bag this past year, where I did get the wishful moisturizer and the diamond lip and nice palette, and I really think it was about the same price as the ipsy Glam bag x. So I will definitely buy another Hood a mystery bag to make up for this incredible disappointment. Seriously the pmd which I received a year ago from causebox and which has as other people have stated been in every subscription box from that time forward. Huge value inflation.

I cancelled Ipsy. Then I canceled Boxy cuz they are owned by Ipsy. I have never been so mad about what was offered as opposed to spoilers, even with add ons. I’m done with the bait and switch tactics. I’ve been liking AIA beauty box better anyway.

Two days later and I’m still salty about my GBX. What am I supposed to do with another PMD device??? My Ipsy picks weren’t tailored to my profile at all (which I keep up to date and do all my product reviews). Only one (1!) single spoiler I wanted made an appearance anywhere. And the perfume… oh… the perfume. I have seen hundreds of bag reveals, and only 4 had the perfume (as an Ipsy choice, in each instance grouped with the same items: mascara, Rare Beauty gloss, Kenra hairspray, and PMD).

On top of that, I reached out to Ipsy for a link to the survey that is in the confirmation email, because yeah, I have some things to share with them – I explained that I had to ask them for it because I don’t get Ipsy emails, that I’ve worked extensively with CS on the email issue but there was no resolution and I’ve given up on that. Their response? Sorry you don’t get our emails, let me help you with that. OMG. Ignored my request for the survey link – and my response asking them for it – again – has been ignored. Gah, I’m so frustrated.

Ok, I’m done now, lol.

Did EVERYONE receive the stupid PMD device?
Guess what- so did I. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ & feeling extra stupid because my gut told me to go ahead & cancel Ipsy all together. I was stoked with the release of the GBX, but each and everyone has let me down immensely.
The moment I saw what my “Huda curated” items were I almost had to laugh. The first & the worst was the PMD device. I’ve spent my own money on the face device, and the body one as well. Used them for a little bit, yes, but neither one had any type of wow factor. So now, they collect dust in my closet.
Now, I’m a major frugalista, slay on a budget? Girl, me all day, so my first thought was “I’m going to contact customer support, they’ll fix this straight away!”
Did that happen?
NO.
What happened was: it took forever for me to figure out how to contact an actual person(not the stupid ipster bot) when that finally happened, I asked for them to please replace the pmd device with a wishful or Huda product.(or anything else for that matter!!) both she(& the bot as well) told me that it was not possible for them to replace any curated item from any bag. It’s not an option.. they continued into saying it was my fault for not rating the items in the bags I do receive well enough & not enough “specific detail” & for choosing too many brands or options in my beauty quiz.
Wait, say again??..!
I will say this though, at the end of this ordeal, the “non bot” ipster customer service associate said that she will include something extra in my GBX shipment.(but I’ve got to wait to see)
I’ll post what I got in a couple of days when I get my lame ass package. But honestly, knowing how Ipsy works, the extra item will most likely be missing from my bag along with one or two other products. Cause every single month something gets left out.
Ipsy sucks.

This Glam Bag X… X stands for X-customer, because that’s what this made me. Talk about a bait and switch. That PMD device just infuriates me. For pity’s sake, EVERYONE has at least two! You can find them at garage sales!

Yep, it was terrible. And I did let ipsy know. And received the same explanation as everyone that my awful curation was my fault based on my beauty selections…that didn’t match my curation. cool.

I hope everyone is letting Ipsy know how they feel! I completed the survey that was linked in the order confirmation email and let them know how disappointed I was in this box. Like most people, I was really hoping for the perfume, but seems like no one got that. I probably wouldn’t be so angry with the box if I wasn’t getting the stupid PMD device. I already have these kind of devices and don’t use them. The only thing I like in my box is the By Terry powder (one of my picks), but I would have rather gotten the Huda setting powder

I am so glad I decided not to get Glam Bag X this time. I knew I wouldn’t get anything I wanted which was mainly the perfume

Wow, What a disappointment. This is the first major let down of a box after a year of subscribing. Usually I’m happy with most things.But for an X bag that is more $$ and allegedly curated ….. didn’t we just all receive 80% old stock items???? I got the PMD & Huda mascara in Ipsy picks. Got offered the Haze palette which is pretty but I have one of her palettes and it’s disappointing. Once you try Natasha Denona it’s HG for pigment. Not sure I would call this a curated box. 3 items at most…. The rest are Ipsy reruns.

So the perfume was just a bait and switch, I see. Not listed like the full spoilers. Lovely.

Once again I got the PMD and I already have two of them but I did get the Huda mascara and powder. I really wanted a lipstick from Selena Gomez and instead I got another highlighter which I clearly marked that I did not want another one nor did I want more skin care products. I never get a lipstick! This will be my last box because I am so tired I have five out of six products for always skin care! I have never received a perfume, concealer, or foundation. And having a points system to redeem products is a joke because it’s always skin care.

I got the PMD (I already have one from Boxycharm), Goldfaden MD Needle-less, Wishful Jelly Moisturizer, Huda mascara, and Rare Beauty luminizer (in a yellow gold that I cannot wear on my fair, cool toned skin).

I chose the By Terry powder, Huda Purple Haze palette and the Ofra Midi palette.

If anyone was lucky enough to get the perfume, do tell us! That way we can be super jealous of you.

My say something nice: At least I didn’t get a mascara? I really wanted to try the perfume–I would have even purchased it as an add on. But I suspect that Ipsy received a limited amount of perfume, which then went into influencer’s boxes. :/
The perfume must be good stuff though, because it’s sold out everywhere I looked (Huda site, Sephora).

I am very happy with my box this month. The last 2 months were horrible so I figured my luck had to pick up. I have my profile set up for mostly skincare but last month I changed the eyeshadow choice.

Ofra Sitting Pretty Midi Palette (I’ve gotten this in the past and loved it so much I actually hit pan)

How many base PMD devices do I need, they can see how many I have bought. I wish there was the option to get the perfume or the peptide in the add ons

This month wasn’t as bad as May but not as good as the august glam bag x was for me. Ipsy chose for me
– PMD cleansing tool (will go up for swap
– cela mask (im optimistic because I like the brand)
– wishful thirst trap HA3 peptide serum (I’m interested)
– Huda concealer in marshmallow (I’m interested but not sure it’s a shade match)
– rare beauty lip balm in thankful (happy with this).
My choice items were really where it felt like it was lacking.
I chose
– by terry powder (I had the option for an eyeshadow but I didn’t need another neutral palette. I almost chose the Patrick ta lip mask and may try to swap for it)
– first aid beauty facial Radiance pads (nothing here really called my name. I’ve used these before and like them but this just feels kinda boring
– complex culture brush duos. (I love those brushes)

I do appreciate everything in my box comes from a brand I recognize- no off label brands for me this month, thankfully

And the award for the worst curated GBX box goes to Huda!

I had really hoped there would be more Huda Beauty options since Huda is curating. I would have liked to see Wishful Honey Balm moisturizer, maybe some Kayali perfume, and the Huda tinted lip balm.

This ‘curation’ was a huge let down. My selection looked similar, my star product was PMD facial brush, I had no interest in as they are terrible. No wonder PMD was not spoiled anywhere, it’s a bad tired product previously included in all the other subs.
I got no perfume, no powder, no diamond lip. no Huda products. Out of the spoilers, I got the Wishful serum and Rare Beauty lip balm. That’s it! The rest is off brand crap that was not spoiled anywhere. I feel totally baited and switched.
