I do not understand why MSA is giving spoilers for a box that is sold out. They make you want something you cannot get. Why are they doing such a stupid thing.

Sorry but I’m with Joyce on this one. Companies don’t release spoilers so people who subscribe “know what they will be getting” – it’s to encourage non-subscribers to subscribe. MSA has been slow with spoilers/reviews since they revamped their site.

Maybe consider that it’s also to encourage current subscribers to maintain their subscription?? Billing for this box hasn’t happened yet (will be 12/1 I believe) so there is still time to cancel, and at this price point, I’m sure there are plenty of subscribers who would be uncomfortable taking the gamble of the complete unknown. Also, I’m the last person to defend the timeliness of MSA lately in releasing spoilers, but Margot Elena has always released spoilers on this schedule (i.e. generally after a season has sold out), even before Liz sold the site. Are you suggesting that MSA just not bother to post the spoilers because the box is sold out? So that those of us who actually do want that information would have to do without? Side note, ME doesn’t send spoilers to subscribers, so sites like this are our only option to see them. I mean, people who don’t want to see them can just scroll by…

Sherri

Well, as a subscriber I’m excited to learn what will be in the box, so I don’t find it remotely stupid at all. Also, if I weren’t a subscriber but was considering signing up for a subscription, this would give me a sense of the types of things that are included in this sub, which would help me make a decision. Again, not a stupid thing.

Because that’s how spoiler/sub box sites work?

The people who are getting the box might want to know what they are getting.

I subbed to the winter box specifically for the wish candle. Stupid, I know. Now I won’t even receive that. I wish I had saved the $70.

So, we get the mini hand creams to replace the candle, then the bigger hand cream, and not body butter. I have so much lotion from this sub. It’s my favorite sub, however the price has gone up so much, and I have soooooooooo much hand cream/lotion, that it’s starting to feel lackluster.

I subbed for this box for a year. I will be cancelling with no regret. Their formula’s are not the best and kind of drying. Beautiful packaging, really nice smells. But…. For the money I spent for a year on this sub- I could have just bought a few nice items of my personal choice, that would satisfy my desire for good smelling stuff. This sub could be worth it only if you have huge family with lots of females to share all these items, if you aren’t getting tired using same brand. Otherwise, it’s too much for one person, all products are too similar. And you still need more advanced formulas for the body. This brand is only wonderful for packaging and smells, not the formulas. Besides, getting postcards twice a year was annoying to me. I would love to get her kimono, towels or something else from material with her beautiful design, like she had in the past. Cancelling for good. Maybe will buy her perfumed crema once a year – but that would be a fragrance OF MY CHOICE. There are too many innovative formulas and brands to try on the market nowadays, rather than to be stucked to one sub box with similar items over and over again.

I love this box. Deeply.

But…there have been 4 spoilers and 3 of them are lotion. That seems kinda crazy? I guess I am just disappointed…there is such amazing stuff on the Margot Elena site and we get 4 lotions? (In scents that we have already received in the past…) I’m not ready to give up on this sub yet…but where is the variety? The high-value hero items?

I know what you mean about all the lotion! They have so many great products to choose from, you’d think there’d be more variety. But that perfume is new and costs $42, so that might be the hero item.

Sherri

I thought the perfume was spoiler #3? So this would be #4? And the candle, which was spoiler #1, was being replaced with mini hand creams? Did that change? Are the mini hand creams not happening now? Gah, I’m so confused.
