Dia & Co is a monthly plus-size clothing subscription box that is personally curated for you by a Dia stylist. Upon enrolling with Dia & Co, I filled out an extensive survey asking me about my clothing size/weight/height, price range, and also my style likes, and dislikes. Every month my stylist selects five items that could be clothes or accessories to try out. If I like them, I have the option of buying them. There is a $20 per month service fee, but the fee can be applied to any purchases I opt to make. A 25% discount is applied if I chose to keep all five items too!

The items in my box are chosen personally for me dependent and reflective of my style and price preference, so the package you receive from Dia & Co may be entirely different than mine!

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes).

First Impressions

That Dia & Co envelope I look forward to seeing every month now comes as a sleeve.

Enclosed is an awesome message from my stylist, Breana S.! She complimented the pieces that I selected this month and gave some fantastic styling tips too! I love that she even gave me a suggestion on a piece to add to my next styling box or purchase separate!

There's also an invoice that has a detailed list of the brand, name, color, size, and price of each item we selected along with the grand total after the styling fee and 25% off (if I opt to keep all five items) is applied. Not all of the prices aren't listed, so this form is a bit inaccurate. The total would be $373.50. After the $20 styling fee and 25% is applied my balance for the entire box would be $265.13! The savings would be $108.37 if I did decide to keep everything! That would be like getting the Madewell pullover and East Adeline bodysuit for free  -- that's pretty awesome!

Now for the fashions!

Juniper Sleeveless Dress by Gilli, Size 3x-- Listed Value $59

This month I selected all but one of the items-- I couldn't resist the temptation. I saw this dress and figured I would give it a go! I love the pinks in the floral print against the grey-ish green background. I figured if anything, in the fall I could wear this dress with tights and a thinner turtleneck or slim-fit t-shirt underneath. I selected this piece assuming the back strap would be thick enough to cover my bra, but I was WAY OFF as you can see. That is going to be a problem because I absolutely can't stand how the bra shows. With that annoyance aside, I did have a lot of fun styling this dress. I opted to pair it with pink tights from SNAG tights, Princess Highway heels, and some Gloss and Shimmer retro lampshade earrings. The material on this dress is a stretchy cotton, so I felt covered and comfortable other than the back strap shenanigans. This would probably be a better dress to wear in the summer, but I like the idea of this particular ensemble topped off with a black faux fur coat. I just love a short dress combined with a faux fur coat! In the summer, wear this with embellished sandals and a large brimmed hat for a lunch date.

Lindsay Collared Bodysuit in Black by East Adeline, Size 2x-- Listed Value $42

This is the one piece that my stylist, Breana S., selected for me. I do love the collar on this bodysuit, it has such a retro vibe. I always think of my mom in the 80s and 90s wearing bodysuits. I love the concept of them because I prefer tucking in shirts to wearing them out. I love how the look defines my waist. However, bodysuits are a source of stress for me. The struggle to do the reach around to snap the crotch part is a workout in of itself. Who needs to go to a yoga class-- just try putting on a bodysuit! I am pretty sure my neighbors heard me cussing out this particular piece. I was determined, but eventually gave up and just tucked this piece in for the shot. It certainly looks great, but I don't feel the ecstasy in this scenario is worth the agony. My difficulties aside, if you don't have a hard time getting a bodysuit on and off-- this is a fantastic piece! The fabric is a lighter knit cotton with loads of stretch. I love how it looks paired simply with the Madewell jeans I picked out, but this would also look stellar with a retro faux suede mini skirt, tights or fishnets, and knee-high boots for a 70s inspired look. Also, wear this with shorts and sneakers in the summer for an easy, yet perfectly put-together outfit.

Roadtripper Authentic Stovepipe Jeans in Glynn Wash by Madewell, Size 22 — Listed Value $79.50

Over the years I have noticed many of my favorite plus-size bloggers posting and raving about their favorite jeans brand, Madewell. I have been curious, but never game them a whirl-- till now! Once I saw that Dia & Co were carrying the beloved brand, I had to get a few pairs to review for yinz! This is the first pair of two that I selected to show you all. I, initially, was concerned when I received these jeans. I had read a lot of bloggers saying they generally sized down with Madewell. They only come up to a size 22 on the Dia & Co site, so I crossed my fingers and hoped the reviews I read were accurate. I tried these pants on as soon as I received them and was broken-hearted-- they did not fit. I couldn't zip them all the way. I was so upset because I wasn't sure how I would take pics in these for you all! I don't know if it was the fact that Aunt Flo was soon bestowing me a visit or what, but when I eventually took pics to model for you, THEY FIT! I couldn't believe it! They are snug on me, but the jeans have a nice stretch. The denim is a bit thicker but comfortable and buttery soft. The rinse is a slight bit lighter than I prefer, but I love them! I can see why everyone has been losing their minds over these jeans! My only suggestion would be is to increase their size range to at least a size 30! Everyone deserves great jeans like these in their size!

Crosby Textured Pullover by Madewell, Size 2x— Listed Value $65

I know you all have been wanting to see more fall gear and if this sweater doesn't scream Autumn to yinz, I don't know what will! I was excited by the description on the Dia & Co site indicating the colors featured in this beautiful sweater were orange and pink. As you can see, with closer inspection, it is certainly orange and white striped. Either way, I adore this sweater. It is not too thick or thin, a perfect knit. It is incredibly comfortable and easy to wear. I did simple styling by pairing this pumpkin patch-ready pullover with white Mary Janes and the other Madewell jeans I selected. This sweater would also look great with a mini skirt, tights, and ankle booties for an adorable, yet safe get-together.

High-Rise Skinny Jeans in Starkey Wash by Madewell, Size 22 — Listed Value $128

If I was freaking out over initially not being able to get my other Madewell jeans on, these ones were even more stress-inducing. Yinz, I had like three inches between the button and zipper; these seemed to be a no-go. However, as you can see, on picture day they miraculously fit my bodacious bod!  These were slightly snug, but they fit well and weren't tight to the point of discomfort. They were actually incredibly easy to wear. I could bend and move well in them as well. I am impressed by how high quality these jeans are-- plus I am convinced they have some kind of magic sewn into the fiber of these pants. They were not exaggerating with naming their brand, Madewell, that is for certain! I love the dark rinse on these too-- they will go with everything from a button-down blouse and cardigan to a vintage band shirt and jeans. I am in love! The price tag might seem high, but I assure you these are made to last and you will get your money's worth!

Verdict

This month's Dia & Co was filled with great staple pieces and a few awesome statement items too. I am so pleased that the Madewell jeans eventually fit me-- the quality of them is unparalleled! I finally understand what all the hype was about! I was pleased to receive some great jeans just in time for colder weather months too. That Madewell sweater, though, might be my favorite selection of all. I know I will wear it a ton during Zoom meetings for work since I will be presentable and cozy!

This month, I opted to select four of the five items. I have fun collaborating with my stylists, but I was too curious about the Madewell brand items to not check them out! I liked the bodysuit in theory that Breana sent, but in practice, it was not the best option for me. This is why providing feedback for each style box is crucial. I will request in the future to not include bodysuits or to size up with them. I  try to type up a quick paragraph along with sending my Pinterest, IG, or direct links from the Dia & Co site to help my stylist as well. It shows them what your preferences are, how you prefer your clothing to fit and to get a feel even for what events you might need ensembles for. If you post a lot of pictures of you in the office, your stylist might send out a business casual piece. Or maybe they will notice you prefer bootleg or boyfriend-cut jeans and include them for you as well.

Keep in mind as well-- you do have the ability to select all five of the items in your style box or even purchase items outright from the site itself! As you can see, the struggle is real on restraining myself from selecting all five items. I love to shop and have a strong idea of what cuts and styles I like best on my frame-- I can be very particular about my clothing!  Though I love to buy for myself, I love handing over the reins to someone else to be surprised on occasion! It can be fun to receive something random, especially during these times in the pandemic. With the holidays fast approaching, I have no desire to mask up and go to the mall. It is so much more convenient to have clothes sent to me! Also, did you know that Dia & Co also offers styling box services for activewear, intimate pieces, and now swimwear too? You also can forgo a styling box altogether and buy pieces directly from the site.  You are able to accrue points from purchases from your box to buy directly from the Dia & Co site as well! I can't suggest Dia & Co and all their options to enjoy their services enough! I am excited to see what I get next month-- are you?

Okay, Nicole, you sold me on trying Dia & Co again just to see how great those Madewell jeans really are! And I love the bodysuit on you but feel you when it comes to how “crotchety” they can be.

Great review, as always! Enjoy your holidays and stay safe!
