Dia & Co is a monthly plus-size clothing subscription box that is personally curated for you by a Dia stylist. Upon enrolling with Dia & Co, I filled out an extensive survey asking me about my clothing size/weight/height, price range, and also my style likes, and dislikes. Every month my stylist selects five items that could be clothes or accessories to try out. If I like them, I have the option of buying them. There is a $20 per month service fee, but the fee can be applied to any purchases I opt to make. A 25% discount is applied if I chose to keep all five items too!
The items in my box are chosen personally for me dependent and reflective of my style and price preference, so the package you receive from Dia & Co may be entirely different than mine!
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes).
First Impressions
That Dia & Co envelope I look forward to seeing every month now comes as a sleeve.
Enclosed is an awesome message from Team Dia & Co! I selected all my items this month, so I didn't have a set stylist month. This comes with a more general note that isn't personalized, but talks about all the cool ways you can shop through Dia & Co!
There's also an invoice that has a detailed list of the brand, name, color, size, and price of each item we selected along with the grand total after the styling fee and 25% off (if I opt to keep all five items) is applied. Not all of the prices aren't listed, so this form is a bit inaccurate. The total would be $446.98. After the $20 styling fee and 25% is applied my balance for the entire box would be $335.23! The savings would be $111.75 if I did decide to keep everything! That would be like getting the Aurora cardigan for free -- that's pretty fantastic!
Now for the fashions!
Cynthia Sequin Mini Dress by Dex Plus, Size 3x-- Listed Value $79.99
This month I went buck wild and selected every item I reviewed. I simply couldn't resist the charms of this beautiful black sequin dress. If I were going anywhere but my couch this winter, this would have been dreamy for NYE! The dress on the site looks to be meant to be over sized, but on me is rather form fitting and a bit short. That is no issue for me. though. The dress has some stretch, but is made to be more of a t-shirt style cut. I did simple styling by pairing this glitzy number with silver ankle booties, but you could finish off a look like this with tights or fishnets, a leopard print faux fur coat, and large rhinestone statement earrings for a truly glamorous look!
Danielle Chevron Knit Dress by Rafaella, Size 3x-- Listed Value $72, Marked Down to $49
I am forever searching for pieces with a vintage inspired edge, so I had to give this dress a go! The warm earth tones along with the beautiful aquas and teal shades are reminiscent of earthy 70s chevron style knits that made a return in the late 90s and early 00s. The dress has loads of stretch, a body hugging cut that isn't too tight, and would be perfect for the office or a baby shower. I decided to style this beautiful dress with teal lucite hoops and the gold metallic Kira B.A.I.T shoes to complete the ensemble.
Candace Midi Dress by DEX Plus, Size 3x — Listed Value $89
This is another piece from Dex that I was expecting to be roomier, but was rather snug. The 3x they offered is marked as 26/28, which is hard to believe especially since I range from a 20 to a 24 these days. The material is kind of like a satin fabric, so it has limited stretch. I love the blue snake print and the tied collar. This dress would be great for a date or a night out on the town. I styled it with my fave silver booties and statement earrings, but I would add black tights and a faux leather biker style jacket to bring the entire look together.
Aurora Cardigan by Dex Plus, Size 3x— Listed Value $109.99
I wanted to get a long line coatigan style and this particular one seemed to be the ticket. Sometimes, I don't want to put a big, bulky winter coat on to run errands-- this is ideal for those days! I figure it would also be great just for lounging in my home as well. My boyfriend prefers the house to be cooler all year long, whereas I prefer it to be a bit cozier. This cardigan is better than any robe and is like a wearable blanket-- I am in love! I am glad to see this being roomier too unlike the other Dex items in this month's box. My only complaint is I wish the color was more black than grey, but otherwise I am extremely pleased. Wear this with your boots, jeans, and a pull over sweater for a toasty outdoor outfit or with your pajamas and slippers for a Netflix and Chill kind of evening.
Donna High Rise Skinny Jeans by Kut from The Kloth, Size 24 — Listed Value $89
I know you are probably surprised I selected another pair of jeans considering how awesome I made out with the Madewell jeans in my last Dia & Co review, but I couldn't deny myself of these as well! I have had so much good luck with Kut from the Kloth brand jeans-- I just had to try this grey rinse style. The jeans have the perfect amount of stretch and the cut is perfect. I love the true high waist on these that both cover my front and backside. I decided to style the jeans with the Socialite wrap top I reviewed for Dia & Co a few months back as well my trusty white Mary Janes from Torrid. These jeans will look great with everything from your favorite sweater and ankle booties to a blouse and blazer combo for the work place.
Verdict
This month's Dia & Co was filled with some great special occasion pieces as well as ones that can become every staple items. I selected all five of the items, so I am pretty pleased with myself and the success I had with each of the pieces I received.
Although I selected everything this month, that doesn't mean I don't appreciate the Dia & Co stylists I have worked with at previous times. I love collaborating and seeing what items my stylist can find for me that I didn't know I needed or wanted. I can't suggest enough also to provide ample feedback to your stylist each month. I try to type up a quick paragraph along with sending my Pinterest, IG, or direct links from the Dia & Co site. I will go through the Dia & Co site and create favorites folders to go back to when I pick out pieces each month, but also for my stylist to use for reference. This all shows what your preferences are, how you prefer your clothing to fit and to get a feel even for what events you might need ensembles for. By providing your Instagram link, your stylist can see what kind of clothing you wear at the office, to special events, on trips, etc. They can determine if you prefer mini or maxi dresses or a flare leg or skinny-- it is all immensely helpful!
Keep in mind as well-- you do have the ability to select all five of the items in your style box or even purchase items outright from the site itself! I am a shopping fiend and simply couldn't restrain myself this month in picking out all five pieces, but I often try to only pick out two or three and let my stylist select the rest. I just know what styles appeal to me and fit me best, but sometimes my stylists have surprised me with items I would have never thought to try! It can be fun to receive something random, especially during these times in the pandemic. With Omicron and the flu so prevalent, I prefer getting my styling box in the mail rather going to the mall. Also, were you aware that Dia & Co also offers styling box services for activewear, intimate pieces, and now swimwear too? You also can forgo a styling box altogether and buy pieces directly from the site. You are able to accrue points from purchases from your box to buy directly from the Dia & Co site as well! I absolutely love Dia & Co and all the ways they allow you use and enjoy their service. Are you as excited as I am to see what I get next month?
