Dia & Co is a monthly plus-size clothing subscription box that is personally curated for you by a Dia stylist. Upon enrolling with Dia & Co, I filled out an extensive survey asking me about my clothing size/weight/height, price range, and also my style likes, and dislikes. Every month my stylist selects five items that could be clothes or accessories to try out. If I like them, I have the option of buying them. There is a $20 per month service fee, but the fee can be applied to any purchases I opt to make. A 25% discount is applied if I chose to keep all five items too!
The items in my box are chosen personally for me dependent and reflective of my style and price preference, so the package you receive from Dia & Co may be entirely different than mine!
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes).
First Impressions
That Dia & Co envelope I look forward to seeing every month now comes as a sleeve.
Enclosed is an awesome message from Team Dia & Co! I selected all my items this month, so I didn't have a set stylist month. This comes with a more general note that isn't personalized, but talks about all the cool ways you can shop through Dia & Co!
There's also an invoice that has a detailed list of the brand, name, color, size, and price of each item we selected along with the grand total after the styling fee and 25% off (if I opt to keep all five items) is applied. Not all of the prices aren't listed, so this form is a bit inaccurate. The total would be $395.95. After the $20 styling fee and 25% is applied my balance for the entire box would be $296.96! The savings would be $98.99 if I did decide to keep everything! That would be like getting either the Dex Plus or East Adeline jackets for free -- that's pretty fantastic!
Now for the fashions!
Yvonne Dress by Grace Elements, Size 3x-- Listed Value $39
It might be that I grew up in the 80s and 90s, but this dress made me think of a couch or velvet painting my grandma would have had in her living room back in the day. I couldn't help but be attracted to this number and selected it... along with everything else for this month. I love that this dress is a stretch cotton, but looks like it could be a printed velvet dress from the grunge era of my youth. I opted to do some simple styling with this piece and paired it with my favorite off-white western booties and mini disco ball earrings. This will look great with tights, combat boots, and an opened flannel button-down layered under a faux leather biker jacket for a true Sassy magazine ensemble!
Magda Knit Moto Jacket by Dex Plus, Size 3x-- Listed Value $79
Back in the early 00s, your girl worked at a Torrid in her local mall. I had a cropped version similar to this very knit biker jacket! I wore it all the time-- it was one of my most beloved Torrid finds! It was cozy and looked great with essentially everything I owned. I was so taken with this jacket that I got it in two different sizes in case I gained or lost weight. Upon seeing this Dex Plus brand version of the jacket styled with the Yvonne dress-- I knew I had to have it! This jacket can be worn all year but will come in handy most in the fall and spring. It is such a classic and versatile piece. I love the length and also that this jacket has FUNCTIONAL POCKETS! I was beyond elated to find that the zipper worked and I could put my hand inside the pocket-- it's the little things. I love this dress and jacket combo, but I can easily wear this jacket with a t-shirt, skinny leg jeans, and loafers or with a turtleneck, mini skirt, and Mary Janes! The looks will be endless!
Dominique Plus Size Cable- Knit Mock- Neck Sweater by 37 Orchard in Light Green, Size 3x — Listed Value $59, On Sale for $49
Whelp, I found my dream sweater, friends! I have never seen a sweater in such a perfect chartreuse-- be still my heart! I love the cable knit style and the mock neck. I just adore this sweater! I know this will be another piece I will get tons of wear from in the colder weather months. This looks amazing styled with jeans and boots but would be phenomenal with a black mini-skirt and tights with boots or oxfords alike. The day I took these pics it was legitimately twenty degrees outside. I wasn't cold at all in this sweater. It is incredibly thick and cozy, but be aware you might want to layer in case you want to take this beauty off. I wore it to visit a family member and I was roasting!
Claudia Striped Sequin Cocktail Slip Dress by Eloquii, Size 22— Listed Value $139.95, On Sale for $55.98
If this is your first time reading one of my reviews, the first thing to know about me is I don't shy away from bold prints and styles. I love to adorn my big body in faux fur coats, wild patterns, and glitzy sequins. When I saw this Eloquii dress-- I simply had to give it a go! Eloquii is one of my all-time favorite brands. Their pieces have a vintage-inspired, yet very modern and chic vibe. They offer items that are sexy, stylish, sassy, sophisticated, and clever. Their price points are incredibly reasonable too, especially due to the number of sales they have on their site! I had seen this dress on their site at the beginning of the season, so when I spied it on the Dia & Co site I couldn't resist! I am generally a solid 22, but this dress has immensely limited stretch. I was afraid that I was going to bust out the top of the dress on all sides. If this had been looser fitting, I would have worn this with a t-shirt or turtleneck underneath to make this a more casual number. I decided to top this dress off with some glam rock gold booties and Divine earrings from one of my favorite makers, RebsRainbowHaus!
Meg Faux Fur Zebra Print Jacket by East Adeline, Size 3x — Listed Value $79, On Sale for $49
Remember how I said I never shy from animal prints? Of course, your girl needed this zebra (though I liken it more to a tiger) print faux fur. It is so soft and supple! I made sure to size up to a 3x to ensure it was roomy! The liner inside is a silky floral fabric-- very subdued compared to the outer shell! I love how this looks with the sequin Eloquii dress, but this would look phenomenal styled with a variety of items! Pair this jacket with your favorite vintage band shirt, faux leather mini skirt, and heels, or with a turtle neck, trousers, and white Chuck Taylors for a more casual ensemble. You will look great and be nice and warm too!
Alondra Faux Fur Checkerboard Coat by Eloquii, Size 26/28 — Listed Value $184.95, On Sale for $110.97
This month, I decided to get a bonus piece. I decided to order this separately from the Dia & Co subscription box I receive. If you weren't aware, with every purchase you make through Dia & Co you accrue points and can use them towards purchases for pieces. You can also flat-out buy items instead of getting the subscription box. The world is your oyster with Dia & Co!
Anyways, getting back to this majestic piece! I know I sound like a broken record, but I am a huge Eloquii fan. I am frequently lounging on my couch, perusing the Eloquii site for new items and killer deals. I had been eyeballing this coat for a few months. I was so drawn to it! I grew up going to a lot of ska shows in my high school days in the 90s; I simply can't say no to a checkerboard print! I was so obsessed with checkerboard print items that I painted a pair of shoes when I was in college! I am loving how checkerboard is so popular right now with the Y2k style resurgence. I was so upset to find the jacket was sold out on the Eloquii site, but low and behold I found ONE remaining coat on Dia & Co's site. I put that in my cart with the quickness, my friends! I didn't even care that it was a size larger than what I normally get. It actually worked to my advantage because this coat is so roomy and comfortable. I could easily wear the 37 Orchard sweater without it feeling too bulky! You can style this with a bright sweater, faux leather black pants, and white boots for a unique, chic look. You also could easily pair this with a band shirt, leggings, and sneakers. This coat will make a huge statement no matter how you wear it!
Verdict
This month's Dia & Co was filled with so many extravagant and wild pieces! I had so much fun selecting and styling everything this month! Dia & Co really brought it with all the diverse and exciting items this month-- I am smitten with everything I received!
Although I selected everything this month, that doesn't mean I don't appreciate the Dia & Co stylists I have worked with in previous instances. I absolutely love collaborating, providing ample feedback, and seeing what items my stylist can surprise me with each month! I try to type up a quick paragraph along with sending my Pinterest, IG, or direct links from the Dia & Co site. I will go through the Dia & Co site and create favorites folders to go back to when I pick out pieces each month. I sometimes get lazy and just throw them all in one folder, but when I am being more meticulous I might create a folder like "Holiday Looks" or "Work Clothes." This keeps my vision organized and helps out my stylist a great deal! All these steps enable you to show what your preferences are, how you prefer your clothing to fit, and to get a feel even for what events you might need ensembles for. By providing your Instagram link, for example, your stylist can get a glimpse into your lifestyle. Do you work at home or in an office? Are you at a club on a Saturday night or doing a low-key hang out at home? This can help them select pieces that fit not only your style but your activities too.
Don't forget: you do have the ability to select all five of the items in your style box or even purchase items outright from the site itself! I love to shop for myself, but I often try to only pick out two or three and let my stylist select the rest. I am very particular and know how I like my clothes to fit on my body, but I do occasionally enjoy letting my stylist do the hunting for me. It can be fun to receive something random, especially during these times in the pandemic. I have been isolating since before the holidays due to Omicron and the flu so prevalent-- I haven't been to a mall in months. With Dia & Co-- the fitting room try-on session can be at my home. It all is conveniently brought to my doorstep! Also, were you aware that Dia & Co also offers styling box services for activewear, intimate pieces, and now swimwear too? You also can forgo a styling box altogether and buy pieces directly from the site. You are able to accrue points from purchases from your box to buy directly from the Dia & Co site as well! I absolutely love Dia & Co and all the ways they allow you to use and enjoy their service. Are you as excited as I am to see what I get next month?
