Can anyone else believe it is already the middle of January? I am in absolute awe over the fact that it is now closer to February than December. You may be wondering why this review is debuting later than normal. Well, after placing my order on January 1, 2022 (what can I say, I was excited!) my order was quickly processed and shipped, only to be lost in transit. Finally, almost three weeks later it arrived, and honestly, I am so happy with my choice that it was worth the wait. Read below to find out what outfit I chose for January.

To be honest, I hate ribbed tanks. I have found in the past that they are too clingy, unflattering, and tend to make me look and feel like a stuffed sausage. Quick frankly I didn't choose this outfit because of the ribbed tank but instead because of the bottoms, deciding the top was just an added bonus. Because this tank was described as having a fitted silhouette, I decided to size up to an XL and I am certainly glad I did as it looked tiny. Checking out the top, I fell in love with the dusty rose color, but the cropped cut made me cringe. After trying this on, I have to say my opinions changed. With super incredibly soft fabric, this cropped tank seriously felt like second skin. It is very stretchy, and though tight, paired well with the high-waisted leggings. Such a simple item of clothing yet paired with the 24-7 kick-flare pants and a tan sweater, I was ready to go to work feeling quite stylish and ultra-comfortable.

Now here is what I was super excited about. As you may have noticed I am obsessed with leggings. Well, at some point one may acquire a few too many pairs and need to give something else a try. This was the case in January. I work in education, so dressing up is part of my daily gig. Black dress pants are a staple in my wardrobe, and my last good pair just blew a snap (a few too many Christmas cookies may or may not have been the culprit!) When I stumbled upon these high-waisted flare pants that look like dress pants but actually feel like yoga pants, I just had to give them a whirl. And boy am I glad I did. Not only are these quite slimming, but they have a hidden pocket at the back and a zipper down the side. Adorable with a pair of ballet flats or high heels, I have been working in absolute comfort, which is a huge deal for me.

Verdict
After not having a ton of choices last month due to my Membership Credit not being available for so long, I took the plunge on January 1st and was able to redeem my credit straight away. There were three pages of outfits, so a lot more choice, and some new and fun options. I am in love with this set and am praying the black and night owl versions will come back in stock soon, as I would totally order more. That being said, I would definitely either purchase this as a set with your Membership Credit or wait until the items come on sale, as I find $89.95 for a pair of dress pants a bit ridiculous. Being able to pick up both of these pieces for almost half of the original cost of the pants is a really great deal, especially because the tank top I thought I would hate, turned out to be one of my favorites. I can't wait to see what they have in store for February!
