Vellabox is a monthly candle subscription! Every month they send you quality, small-batch, toxin-free, hand-poured candles. Late in 2021 the brand’s pricing structure changed: Monthly and 3-month subscribers will now pay $18 for a 4 oz. candle and free gift; $28 for an 8 oz. candle and free gift; or $38 for a 16 oz. candle and gift. Subscribers are also now able to customize their box to their scent preferences and receive candles curated for them.

First Impressions
This was my first Vellabox, and I was surprised by how much they were able to stock into one tiny little box! In addition to the candle — which was wrapped up in a cute little drawstring bag — I found a small paper bag, plus there was a little info card about the candle maker and the contents of the paper bag.

Vellabox offers up four different scent profiles: a candle for fans of woodsy, one for fans of floral, an option for fans of sweet & spice, and finally one for fans of fresh & herbal. Out of four choices for candles this month, I got the "woodsy" scent which has notes of cypress, lemon zest, cedar, evergreen, fir, and amber.
I grew up on a river, so I'm a big fan of nature-based scents. My favorite candle reminds me of sitting around a campfire on a warm summer night with friends. So this option was just perfect for me. The evergreen, fir, and cedar came through but the additional scents kept it from smelling too much like Christmas! With a QR code to scan for re-purchase, I'll definitely be going back to the well to get this one again.
Reusable Rounds (Set of 5) — Listed Value $12.50
Each Vellabox comes with a "surprise item," and this time it was a set of reusable make-up rounds. I'm all about sustainability, so getting something that can be thrown in the washer instead of chucked in the trash was nice, and although the listed valued is just $12.50, saving money on purchasing little cotton rounds can add up to way more in the long run.
The rounds are a bit linty — there was fuzz all over my table when I removed them after taking this photo — but I imagine that will calm down once they're washed.

The "surprise" item in the Vellabox packs a surprising amount of value, and the candle itself is such a hit! The value of the two items is $36.50, so you're saving $8.50 with this subscription.
