Fabletics is a monthly fitness apparel subscription co-founded by Kate Hudson. In fact, it's one of our readers' top picks for Best Fitness Subscription Boxes of 2022! The VIP Membership is $49.95/month and allows you to choose from outfits and sets that have been put together just for members at a discounted price.
After my fantastic discovery of yoga-style dress pants in January, I wasn't sure what February might have in store, yet managed to find a gem in an unlikely outfit. As many of you may know, I do not love tummy exposing clothing. After delivering two large babies (one being almost 11 pounds) and my love of dessert - high-waisted compression gear is what I'm here for, especially if it comes with an oversized top. This month I ventured out of my comfort zone and found a new set to test out in my league volleyball matches. Read below to find out what outfit I chose for February.

No Bounce High-Impact Sports Bra - Retail $69.95
I love sports bras yet struggle to find one that fits just right. I've tried tons of different brands in different styles only to have them fit too tight, loose cup pads, or slip down so far that my cleavage shows. I have to say the No Bounce High-Impact Sports Bra has hit the mark for me in terms of coverage, comfort, and versatility. Because of the high neckline, my cleavage isn't hanging out of my scoop neck t-shirts, and the girls are protected from bouncing while I'm chasing that volleyball around like a dog after a bone. The crisscross back gives it a swimsuit look rather than a bra, looking cute under tank tops, and the silky fabric is not only moisture wicking, but feels good on my skin. While I wouldn't pay $69.95 for such amenities, when offered as a set for the Membership Credit, I was sold.
Define High-Waisted Short 9" - Retail $59.95
I like shorts, but as a 33-year-old mom of two, I never had a need for spandex biker shorts. That is until I started playing competitive volleyball. After repeatedly wearing a pair of paint-stained running shorts I purchased long before my oldest son was born (he is 9 now), I decided I needed an upgrade. I was a little nervous to try such tight shorts but was pleasantly surprised as to how well they hold everything in and make me (at least) look like I somewhat know what I am doing. With the high waist, I no longer have to worry about showing off my belly while blocking and found them to stay put without riding up. I was so impressed, in fact, that I may just have to purchase another pair to add to my rotation.
Here are the two pieces together:
Plank 2-Piece Outfit - Retail Value $114.90
With my $49.95 VIP Member Credit, I was able to purchase this sports bra and short set at a hugely discounted price. While my husband didn't agree the flannel went with the attire, I disagreed, and found it perfect to make this outfit lounge-friendly - look at Scout's face; I think he agrees with me!
Verdict
This month, I was able to redeem my Membership Credit early with a click of a button. I found this helpful, as the beginning of the month tends to have more options available. Mid-month did have some different outfit choices, but went from 3 pages of options, down to 1. I also have recently noticed the increase in separate pieces that don't come as sets, which just doesn't give me an impressive enough discount. Because retail values are pretty steep, I recommend using your membership credit for outfits, and waiting for a sale to buy separates. Being able to pick up the sports bra and shorts for almost half of the original cost of the sports bra alone, was a great deal. I can't wait to see what they have in store for March!
