FaceTory is a monthly beauty box that's perfect for people interested who love (or want to try out) sheet masks! The company aims to provide its members with the latest cult-favorite products, essences, and ingredients.
This is a review of the 7 Lux subscription level ($19.90 per month + free U.S. shipping), which includes 7 sheet masks and a bonus item every month.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)
First Impressions
The sheet masks come packaged in a cheerful yellow and pink bubble mailer- my eyes definitely enjoyed the bright colors of the packaging and the sheet masks inside. To me, sheet masks are supposed to be fun, and I think FaceTory does a good job with their branding to keep things lighthearted and joyful- the outside packaging saying "Woo Hoo!" is exactly how I feel when my subscription box is delivered to me. The subscription usually comes with a card that has a QR code you can scan for additional information about the box, but that was missing from the package this month.
The Breakdown – What’s Inside The Box
Yerma Red Ginseng Collagen Face Mask - Retail Value $2
This mask had an earthy herbal smell that I am going to chalk up to the ginseng. It wasn't a bad smell, only a noticeable one. This mask is made with ingredients my skin really likes like aloe, panthenol, and beta-glucan along with the ginseng extract, and it left my skin feeling hydrated and soothed.
Orjena Nutrition Essential Vita Mask - Retail Value $2
This sheet mask met two of the basic requirements I look for in a sheet mask- it fit my face nicely, and it had a cooling sensation that felt really good on my face. This mask is made with niacinamide and vitamins B, C, and E, and it added a boost of moisture to my skin without leaving a sticky residue behind.
Faith in Face Centella Sensitive Ampoule Mask - Retail Value $1.60
This sheet mask was soaked with a thin watery essence made with a high concentration of Centella Asiatica extract, and I loved it because that's one of my favorite ingredients for my sensitive skin. There was plenty of essence leftover in this mask for me to apply it to my neck, chest, and hands once the sheet mask was on, and the mask itself was cooling and very hydrating to my skin.
Generex Malgeum Soothing Mask - Retail Value $1
I'm not sure what sheet mask material this mask is made out of, but it felt really nice on my face. The mask is infused with panthenol, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and allantoin, and it acted like a calming and hydrating drink of water for my dry, sensitive skin.
Farm Stay Strengthening Blueberry Superfood Sheet Mask - Retail Value $2
This sheet mask is packed with nutrients thanks to the blueberry and algae extract in the formula, and this is also made with probiotics and hyaluronic acid. Altogether, the formula made for a winning combo- along with being hydrating to my skin, when I removed this sheet mask my face looked brighter, too.
The following two masks are actually repeat masks from the October 2021 FaceTory 7 box. My feelings on the masks haven't changed, so I am going to insert October's thoughts here.
Yadah Daily Green Cica Mask - Retail Value $3
I loveee cica (Centella Asiatica) in skincare because it really helps to calm and soothe redness and just keep my sensitive skin happy and healthy. This mask was awesome for me- the first three ingredients were water, glycerin, and cica, so it was super hydrating and nourishing to my skin. The mask material was comfortable, and I would use this mask again if I came across it.
Elishacoy Hydra Mushroom Sheet Mask - Retail Value $3
I really enjoyed this face mask- I found it to be lovely. Along with mushroom extract, this also has eucalyptus, hyaluronic acid, and sage oil, and the end result was a rich and nourishing essence that left my skin soft, hydrated, and happy.
La Muse Age Control Hand Protection Cream, 40 g - Retail Value $18
Each month's FaceTory 7 box comes with a bonus non-mask item, and this month it is this hand cream. This hand cream is nourishing thanks to the shea butter and apricot oil, and it also has niacinamide, fig extract, and ceramides to give the hardier skin on your hands an added boost. I found this to absorb into my skin quickly without leaving a heavy residue behind, and I like the light floral scent this hand cream has.
Value – Was This Box Worth It?
The Cost: $19.90 + free US shipping
Value Breakdown: This box costs $19.90 + free shipping, which means that each of the 8 items in the box has an average cost of $2.48. It can be a little hard to calculate the value of the box each month because oftentimes the masks are sold out on FaceTory's website, but overall I feel like this box provides a decent value considering how low cost and affordable sheet masks are to start with.
Key Takeaways
I really look forward to getting my FaceTory subscription, and while I still enjoyed this month I was definitely a little bummed to find two repeat masks from my October 2021 box. This is the first time I've had repeats like this since I started receiving this box, so I am hoping it was just a one-off rather than something that will happen more frequently. With a sheet mask subscription like this, you're really paying for a slight discount and a great curation. If you use sheet masks at least twice a week (or even more frequently, if you're like me), then this is a subscription worth checking out.

Other Things You Should Know
Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No, order by the end of the month to receive the March 2022 box. For 7 Lux, the count-off date is the last day of that month 11:59 PM EST.
