First Impressions
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)
Quirky Crate showcases one item from a featured artist or brand each month. This month features Essentially Nomadic's own Sudevi Sen. She's a surface pattern designer and illustrator based in India. This info card gives you some insight into her background as well as some social media info.
On the flip side of the card, Quirky Crate includes an itemized list of each product and its value. This month's theme is "Sweet Tooth," featuring some sweet flair that is totally unique and totally quirky.
Time to get quirky!
Wonderful Mint Gum Purse - Listed Value $40
This month's purse is wonderfully soft and roomy. It is seriously like butter, and the spearmint gum wrapper makes a super fun and bright accessory. The attention to detail on this bag like the barcode, the silver gum sleeves on the side and the red accent stripes make this bag an instant favorite from Quirky Crate. I guarantee you will not find another soul walking down the street with this same bag; I can't wait to flaunt this bold bag.
Boba Tea Expandable Case - Listed Value $14
Hands down, this is my absolute favorite QC find. This little pouch has so much personality in such a tiny little smirk. This pouch goes from Tall to Venti in one swift movement of fabric. This bag is canvas with a stiff, thicker layer on the bottom to keep its shape. The top layer with the face easily slides down depending on what size boba (or preferably non-liquid contents) you have to fill it with.
Totally Sensitive Enamel Pin - Listed Value $10
What do you do when you find the absolute perfect flair? I've been geeking out over this incredibly relatable tube of toothpaste, haha! I know that is weird, but recently, I have been wearing my heart on my sleeves, crying at any remotely touching or sad commercial that comes my way. Now I can wear my heart on the collar of my jean jacket for spring, and everyone will know to approach with caution because this chick is totally sensitive, but like, in a quirky way.
Ice Cream Socks - Listed Value $8
I scream, you scream for ice cream socks. There is nothing better than a delicious waffle cone, top it with a fruity, swirly soft serve and it is a match made in heaven. I love the way these socks fit me. They are very comfortable, medium thick and they look great.
Sweet Love Sticker Sheet - Listed Price $4
'Sweet Love' stickers by this month's spotlight artist fit this month's 'Sweet Tooth' theme perfectly. They will fit right in with the rest of my sticker stash, and I may even use a few for some birthday cards I need to send in the next couple of weeks. They have a great shiny finish to them and seem like they'll stay stuck to wherever you stick them.
Gummy Bear Hair Clip - Listed Price $6
These gummy bears look juicy enough to eat. I am happy with this colorful rainbow barrette and let me tell you, it really brightens up any look at all. I secured my hair with bobby pins for extra hold and clipped this over them, and the result was a very colorful, very yummy half up-do that went noticed by seemingly everyone.
DIY Cherry Garland - Listed Price $9
Cherries have always been one of my favorite fruits. DIY projects can be daunting, but honestly, it doesn't get any simpler than this. At first, I frantically checked the packaging for directions, but after looking at the task at hand for about 10 seconds, I realized even I could pull this off without any direction. I used the plastic needle to thread the white string through the stems and leaves, and that's it! I can't tell you how cute this garland is, so I will just have to show you!
This DIY project took me about 2 minutes to complete, which is my favorite type of craft. I love how it turned out, and I can't wait to display them somewhere special where I can look at them every day.
The Verdict
February's Quirky Crate was fantastic! This month's theme 'Sweet Tooth' really hit home to me. I have the absolute worst sweet tooth, and this month's curation touched on some of my favorites including cherries, waffle cones, and even toothpaste for sensitive teeth. This subscription is such a joy to unbox, I really look forward to seeing the cute mailer on my porch every month. The total value of this box adds up to $91, over double the $36.95 + $8.50 shipping subscription cost.
