First Impressions
Even though this box was a bit late, I’m excited to see what they have decided to include in this month’s curation.
What's Inside The Box
Usually the box arrives with a card that lists the products and highlights some of the beauty brands found within. However, I did not receive one this month.
MAVIE Take Me to... Tokyo, 18 g - Retail Value $23.00
I’m no eyeshadow fanatic, but this is probably the cutest palette I’ve ever seen. The colors range from neon green, to deep purple, to shimmery gold, and the finishes vary just as much, from mattes, to metallics. The variety here is brilliant, and I love how perfectly the name suits the theme behind this palette. The color scheme is bringing me strong K-pop vibes, which is really fun. These colors aren’t for my everyday look, but it will be just the thing I need when I want to pull a ‘look’ for an event or night out. I’m also super pumped about how well these shades work with my skin tone, and they are high quality, well pigmented, easy to blend, and buildable.

DR. BOTANICALS Cocoa Noir Time Reverse Facial Serum, 15 ml - Retail Value $79.00
I was really excited about this Cocoa Noir Time Reverse Facial Serum from Dr. Botanicals… But then I noticed the formula. It’s made with three different oils, including geranium flower oil, sea buckthorn fruit oil, and neroli oil. Now, I don’t doubt the benefits of including oils in your skincare, but oils have never really worked for me. That said, since this facial serum is indeed called a serum (not an oil) and has been formulated to defy age by giving skin a more youthful, nourished look, I’m going to give it a fair try. When I applied this serum after my cleansing routine, I was surprised that it was not at all greasy on my skin, absorbed quickly, and is virtually scentless. I’m interested to see how this works for me after some consistent use.
KEEKO Botanical Teeth Whitening Pen, 2 ml - Retail Value $18.00
Wow, I’m really impressed with this whitening pen. I’m a huge fan of Keeko and have yet to be disappointed by any of their products. I love how every ingredient in this pen is natural, with no chemicals at all, and that it was made by dental professionals. It does seem to deliver results within a week if you follow the instructions, but I’m interested to see how long-term those results are and if the effectiveness of the product dwindles over time and repeated use. Bonus points for the taste too! After seeing the ingredients of bicarbonate soda, cranberry, aloe vera, and chamomile, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised when all it left behind was a minty flavor and no residual sensitivity on my teeth or gums after application.
AVRY BEAUTY Total Gel-Ohh! Pedi Spa Set in Champagne Hour, 5 pieces - Estimated Retail Value $8.99
This is a fabulous little pedicure set, and I’ve never seen anything quite like it. Total Gel-Ohh! is an all-in-one, five-step pedicure kit. Each of the five products included has an incredibly delicious scent. It reminds me of a grape flavored Jolly Rancher. The five steps of this pedicure kit consist of a jelly spa bath that relaxes muscles with heat and locks in moisture, a melting mineral that draws out impurities and unclogs pores while diluting the fluffy jelly to a solution, a sugar scrub to buff away dead skin, a cream mask to nourish and rehydrate the skin, and a massage cream to soothe and smooth, leaving skin feeling silky and renewed for the ultimate spa experience.
VOESH Youth Therapy Elbow-High Gloves, 1-pair - Retail Value $15.00
Last month, we received a knee-high leg and foot mask from VOESH, and it was simply exquisite. I’m really happy to see that another unique mask from the brand was included in this month’s box. I have a routine of masking as many parts of my body as possible at one time, and I’m always glad to have an additional mask to include. These Youth Therapy Elbow-High Gloves were easy to use, comfortable to wear, and super luxurious. I took the gloves off after about fifteen minutes, and it left behind smooth, soft skin, all the way up to my elbows. The brand even thought to include a removable fingertip design, and although it’s meant for giving yourself a manicure, I loved that it didn’t affect my typing ability, lol. I am obsessed!
Verdict
I thought this was a really good month for The Beauty Box by Bombay and Cedar! The highlight of this box for me was VOESH’s arm and hand mask. It was super nourishing and left behind softer skin, all the way up to my elbows. I’m super excited about the pedi spa set from Avry Beauty and the complete foot care routine it provides; definitely a future purchase item for me. Keeko’s whitening pen was impressive to say the least. It seems to provide results when used properly, and it’s nice that it’s free of chemicals. When it comes to something I am potentially ingesting traces of, I’d always prefer it to be something entirely natural. I love, love, love the Take Me to Tokyo palette from Mavia. It evokes such a fun theme that I really appreciate. Lastly, the face serum from Dr. Botanicals… Although it’s made from oils, I was shocked at how quickly it absorbed into my skin, and I’m interested to see the long-term results. Overall, I truly enjoyed this box. I thought the product curation was on point and the value is definitely there.
