Ipsy recently announced a $1.99 handling fee that be added to your monthly subscription, starting with the July shipment. To offset this, they note that you can save 20% if you change to an annual subscription by July 1.
The Products: The monthly box includes five full-size or deluxe-sized products, plus a cute makeup bag. Glam Bag users can choose one item in their bag and Ipsy selects the others based on your preferences.

Bag is cute but the past 3 months they have been bag swapping and sending past bags to some people. Seen it on Youtube and Reddit. Then they did it to me this month. I usually skip ugly bags but now it is not garaunteed anyway. The upcharge seems small until you think about all the issues they have been having, like smaller sample sizes that come half empty, billing errors, shipping delays, cancelled orders, wrong items shipped, points items not shipping, and so much more. I’ve subbed off and on from the begining of Ipsy but July will be my last shipment. Contemplating if its worth staying to cash in points but items may not even come. July choice items were boring. June was just another messed up bag for me. Sad to go but it’s not worth the hassle anymore. Hopefully in the future they will improve things and I’ll come back. Until then, looking for a replacement.

Yes there is it reason they need to be charging more. They are terrible at their jobs. They don’t give you what you’ve paid for they either don’t send it at all or send something random instead to hope you’ll just be happy with that. Idk it’s few and far between that I get stuff I really need, love, or even ask for and they are the slowest shipping on gods green earth. I’ve been doing this for years and still don’t get my stuff at a decent time of the month. I could go on and on lol #RANTOVER

I wouldn’t mind the UP charge but there are too many cheapie brands PLUS if you’re going to put Filler eye liner and lip liner EVERY MONTH, AT LEAST USE OUR PROFILE! I will
NEVER USE BLACK EYE LINER OR RED LIP PENCILS! Last month another black eye liner this month red lip pencil. WHY? Why have us fill out profile and not even use it? So with the up charge and all the lip and eye pencils and filler brands I’ll

Agreed. I never used to get black eyeliners or any eyeliners in general. I had two subs back in the day and kept the sub that never got eyeliners. Ironically the other sub had eyeliners as opted out and yet I still received them.
This is now the third month in a row I’m getting an eyeliner even though they’re marked as rarely and I’ve given them the worst ratings I can. I might do the year just because I’ll miss Ipsy, but I’m not keen to pay $15 plus tax.

That bag is cute!! I forgot about the extra handling charge, though. They already increased the price of the sub while values have gone down with smaller and smaller sample sizes. (Albeit I do feel personalization has slightly improved.)
So I may pause or cancel – or have July be my last bag since the starfish and wave look is compellingly cute. I suppose I could just treat the handling fee as the “bag” cost and determine each month whether I feel the bag is worth $2.

Why does Ipsy keep using Marc Anthony products even you can buy THAT brand right now at Walmart?! I always review that I DO NOT want or like the brand, but I can guarantee you, it’ll be in my July bag. But now that our bag will be about $17 with the new price increase, this is just the push I need to cancel. I’ve been a member of Ipsy for 10 years. Since the very beginning and it’s been great, but$17 for 5 tiny samples?! Pass. I’m still waiting for my Ipsy offer that I bought on April 28th to get to me. I’m on the US, what gives?! Ipsy also just bought Boxycharm so hopefully Boxy isn’t going to hike up their price again too.

Oh no they took over boxy charm? Great. Honestly you guys could just pay the 25$ and get five or six full products and you can pick three. But I will say they’re taking thirty out of my account automatically every month so idk if that’s right.

I have NO interest in the make up bags. I have over 40 in my closet which have never been used. I would gladly sacrifice the bag to avoid the extra $1.99.

You can swap them on the swap site, donate them, or gift them if you don’t want the clutter in your closet. I don’t really use them, either, but I tend to keep them if I think they are cute.

Don’t you know the swap site is closing down the end of June!? My Glambag with tax will be almost $17, ridiculous for a black eyeliner every month and tiny mascara and blush and highlighter they send every month! I’ve cancelled and not looking back!

My May bag has been stuck in Stow, Ohio for three weeks. I guarantee they are out of EVERYTHING including my add ons and my points item. I am about done with Ipsy. I hopefully can just skip indefinitely to continue to access flash sales. If not, I can live without that stuff too.

You can still get shopper deals and second chance add-ons even when you are cancelled. They don’t want you to miss anything! Be careful now how you buy shopper deals so you don’t pay a handling charge on them!! Sometimes they list them in a bunch showing handling charges! But if you click back on the shopper tab you will get it without the handling charge! I refuse to pay the handling charge!

With the increase in shipping and handling I hope that they find a different company than DHL. Waiting often until the end of the month to get my Ipsy bag has always been a huge sore spot with me.

DHL is ridiculous. My June bag will take three weeks to get from California to California, because it has to go through Tennessee and Texas first.

When they don’t lose it. There is a black hole on this planet, and it’s called the DHL warehouse in Atlanta. Stuff goes in and never comes out. By then, of course, Ipsy is out of those items.

They will have to have super cute bags, to have people continue with them. Starting July it will be around $17 per month with the added processing fee and tax. This is cute, but not cute enough for that price and the off name (too many of them) products.

You don’t even get the theme bag they advertise every month! I got an old one in March due to supply issues and now you can buy it in the mystery bag tab. And today I noticed that the cute fruit slice bags I’ve seen all month are once again replaced with an old bag blurred out with a big question mark. Now they want me to pay more for old bags, no way! It’s too late to cancel when they tell you they’re pulling the bait and switch so I’m done when my points items come in!

I never use the bags (give then to my sister & daughters) but honestly the purple fruit one I got this month and the starfish next month are keepers!! I did however give my sister that popsicle plus bag. I never find a use for those flimsy ones!
