What's Inside This Box
Earth Harbor Obscura Detoxifying Reset Ampoule - Retail Value - $44.00
I absolutely love discovering new Earth Harbor products in subs! They are one of my favorite vegan, woman-owned, organic, non-GMO, etc. etc. etc. brands. All of their products are so gentle on the skin, and I always feel so good about spending my money on brands that really look after the environment, not to mention the health and safety of their consumers. This ampoule goes on feeling oily, which is great for a seamless and gentle application, but it quickly dries down to reveal a velvety texture. I don't think my skin has ever felt so silky just after a treatment like this! I am pleasantly surprised that this product does not have a fragrance, which makes me love it all the more. I noticed that my skin felt super soft after application, and hopefully, after continued use, I will have the youthful glow of a 20-something-year-old.
Cuccio Somatology Chill Peppermint Cooling Body Scrub - Retail Value - $39.00
How did Kinder know I was due for a bougie salt scrub? I love exfoliating, and now that I have this big pregnant belly, I've been going through my body products like crazy! This peppermint scrub is cooling and smells so invigorating; it is perfect for a morning shower before work or a late night relaxing in the tub. It uses Epsom salt, seaweed extract, and peppermint oil to soothe and smooth the skin. This scrub retails for $39, which is more than this subscription costs; I don't think I'd pay full price for this item since it just gets washed down the drain, but that's what's so great about subscription boxes.
Sukin Detoxifying Biodegradable Sheet Mask - Retail Value - $5.99
Typically I am turned off by sheet masks with fragrance, but this one is pleasantly mild; the ingredients say that it is a natural fragrance, not that typical perfume I am used to seeing (phew!). With that information out of the way, I really, really liked this mask. The super greens made my skin feel squeaky clean, soft and totally rejuvenated. It is also biodegradable, which removes the stigma of using a single-use product.
Moonlit Skincare Bamboo Pads - Listed Value - $6.00
I am officially off of disposable cotton rounds, and I am thrilled to have a new pair of reusable ones to add to my collection. Moonlit Skincare has provided the softest bamboo cotton rounds that do an awesome job applying toner and removing face and eye makeup. I often use these in the AM with cold water to swipe the night off of my face, and then I move on immediately to skincare. You can wash them with a gentle cleanser or slip them into your laundry (I've done both). No more running out of or spending money on disposable cotton pads here!
Chiky Botanica Cruz Azul Brightening Toner - Retail Value - $42.00
I am very careful not to use essential oils on my face, so this toner was an immediate pass for me. Although I think it smells divine, I can't risk irritating my sensitive skin. I also love the packaging for this product, and honestly, this hazy grey toner looks equally cool. Chiky Botanica solely uses organic ingredients in its products. This toner is meant to brighten the complexion with the use of lavender hydrosol, blue eucalyptus and butterfly pea blossoms.
Verdict
July's Kinder Beauty Box was a skincare lover's dream. If you are someone who loves to treat your skin with products that are also kind to the environment, then Kinder Beauty is your new go-to. I've grown to love the brands that they sample, especially Earth Harbor, and I love that they also never shy away from sending skincare tools like this month's reusable cotton rounds from Moonlit Skincare. Not only are you getting products deserving of their hype, but the retail value of this month's box is 5x what you're paying for the subscription; this month’s box has a retail value of $131.99!
