Shirt Only for $15.95, Box Only for $34.95 or the Big Box Subscription which includes the shirt and box for $49.95. Shipping is $3.95 for the Shirt subscription and $7.95 for the Box or Big Box subscription. This is a review of the Box Only subscription.
Each box contains 8-9 full size beauty and lifestyle items from Smartass & Sass and various other sassy businesses. The shirts are comfy unisex T's available in sizes XS-3X.

First Impressions

Warning: This review is not for the faint of heart! If you're offended by bad language, this probably isn't the review or box for you! If you're like me and thrive on poor language and bad ideas, this is definitely a subscription box you need in your life.
With that said, this month's theme is "Wild and Free!” It’s a nice twist on the typical summer-themed box. There are plenty of items great for summer and the outdoors, but this box brings snarky fun to it.
On With The Show!
Untamed AF Mug - Retail Value $17.95

The first item I pulled out of the box turned out to be my favorite. This gorgeous blue mug is emblazoned, on both sides, with the phrase: “Untamed As F*ck.” What I love most about it is how large it is. I have plenty of coffee mugs, but this is the perfect soup mug. I took photos holding it and with it full of pens to give you an idea of how large it is. Since I’ve taken these photos, I’ve used it for soup and it really is the perfect size.
B-Ville Sunglass Case - Retail Value $12.95

This sunglasses case is really nice. It’s very hard and well-made so I expect it’ll protect my glasses nicely. The outer side is fabric but a very tough, canvas like fabric that doesn’t catch or snag. The inside is lined with a soft, moleskin-like fabric that is gentle on lenses. The front of the case says, “It’s Always Sunny In B*tch-Ville”, while the back says “Smartass & Sass.” Cute, bright, almost retro-style cartoons finish the design. I found that the vivid red band under the text makes it easy to find in my purse.
Born To Be Wild Threaded Towel - Retail Value $26.95

A beach towel is a wonderful addition to a June subscription box. I admit that I didn’t take it out of the package because I’m excited to give it to my friend who lives in her swimming pool! It’s a generous 35.4” x 70.8” and is machine washable. While I’m disappointed that it doesn’t have a sassy saying on it, it does have a variety of stripes and tassels. Tassels on a beach towel? Win!
Hungry Wheat Straw Utensils - Retail Value $10.95

These cute utensils are actually really nice. They’re light but study and just the right size. They fit perfectly in the container they come in and the lid fits tightly in place (so your clean utensils don’t fall out and get dirty). The set is environmentally friendly in more ways than one. Not only does reusing this set save you from using disposable utensils that are destined for the landfill, they’re made from wheat straw. Wheat straw is the leftover stalk that would normally be burned; releasing CO2; it also consumes less energy to manufacture than traditional plastic. This little set makes it possible to not just be a smartass, but an eco-friendly one!
Stay Wild Headband by JUNK - Retail Value $16.99

I’m a huge fan of this headband! It’s bright, cheery and has a brief, but uplifting, message: stay wild! I also like the material. It’s strong but very light and stretchy. It fits perfectly. So much so that I forget I’m wearing it. The light-weight material is a nice touch for summer. When it’s hot out, you don’t want a thick, weighty piece of fabric wrapped around your head!
Frisky Travel Bottles - Retail Value $9.95

Another great summer item that’s been improved with a little sass! I just love this adorable little set; I can’t wait to take it on vacation next month. There are plenty of travel sets on the market, but this one is a bit sassier. The sturdy plastic tote says, “Clean AF” and each bottle has a bit of snark. The labels on the little bottles have funny titles: “Pinch Me, Squeeze Me, Pump Me” are just a few. Who doesn’t want to use a bottle that says, “Squirt Me?” Not this sassy gal!
Serious Bug Stuff by Serious Lip Balm - Retail Value $9.00

A great little addition to a summer box is this mini stick of bug repellant. I’m actually grateful it’s small because it fits in a purse, hiking bag or even your pocket. I haven’t had a chance to try this repellent outside to verify if it does indeed repel insects, but I’m happy to report that it smells really nice. In my opinion, most anti-bug products have a strong, unpleasant odor. This one doesn’t. It’s definitely earned a place amongst my camping supplies.
Busy Co Body Wipes by Busy Co. - Retail Value $9.00

This eco-friendly package contains three biodegradable wipes. A caffeinated hydrating and firming body wipe, an age-defying, soothing face wipe, and a deodorizing cleansing wipe. I’ve stowed this convenient three pack in my suitcase, ready to travel. I like how even a small packet of wipes fits the theme of the box; live this summer (and your life) on your terms. In this case, it means staying clean in a way you can feel good about.
See You On The Flippity Flip Unisex T-Shirt - Retail Value $24.95
I subscribe to the regular box, without the t-shirt, but these shirts are so cute that I want to show you what they look like. Special thanks to my bestie, Jenni, for posing for this photo! While I’m not a t-shirt fan, Jenni is, and has quite the collection of snarky Smartass shirts. According to Jenni, the shirts are true to size, long enough to wear with yoga pants and ridiculously soft!
The Verdict
I’ve been a subscriber for about a year, and June’s box is by far my favorite one. The total retail value is $113.74 (not counting the T shirt) which is especially great considering Smartass & Sass, unlike many boxes, doesn’t seem to inflate their values.
It's also worth noting that Smartass & Sass has a great shop with items found, and not found, in the box. They also have a monthly "Secret Shop" for subscribers who automatically receive 20% off their order.

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, your first box will be the July box. However, often, extra previous boxes will be available for sale in the Smartass & Sass store.
Value Breakdown: This is the regular box, so it cost $39.95 plus $7.95 shipping, which means each of the 8 items cost an average of about $5.36. I also paid $23.90 for the shirt subscription to be sent to my bestie.
