Gwynnie Bee is a size-inclusive clothing rental subscription service offering sizes 0-32! Gwynnie Bee allows you to select items you like that are put in a virtual closet. The chosen items in your virtual closet are sent to you at random, but you can select priority pieces to be sent to you first. Since I started using the service, I can say I always have a lot of fun with this box!
The cost depends on how many items you would like to rent out at a time. Prices start at $49 per month for 1 item, and can be up to $199 for 10 items. Gwynnie Bee also has a marketplace on their site where you can buy discounted used rental pieces and brand new accessories, underwear, and workout gear as well!
This is a review of the three items at a time for $95/month.

What's Inside This Box
Ruffle Detail V-Neck Fit-and-Flare Dress by Maison Tara, Size 22w — Cost to Keep $92.50
This dress! I am surprised by how much I love it! It is so gorgeous! I felt like a plus size Daphne from Scooby Doo that was going to a wedding in this getup. The dress is a light and flowy fabric, the ruffles add a lovely romantic feel. I love the elastic at the waist too because it perfectly defines my waistline. This dress has a casual yet formal feeling simultaneously, you really can dictate how fancy it appears by how you accessorize this piece. If you are wanting to wear it in the office, simply pair with a light cardigan and embellished flats. For an event like a bridal shower or wedding, pair with glitzy sandals or chunky open toe sandals. I paired this beauty with my favorite jelly sandals from Torrid and some oversized disco ball earrings.
Fuschia Smocked Waist Fit-and-Flare Dress by Maison Tara , Size 22w — Cost to Keep $93.50
This piece is in the same vein as the last-- light weight, breezy, ruffles, with warm, bright, vivid colors. The floral print is absolutely lovely. This dress has a lot going on though with the accordion pleating, ruffles, and the open slit on the arm. I could do without the open sleeves, I think it would have a great retro early 80s vibe if they were closed. To pull some of the colors in this dress, I styled it with my go-to white Mary Janes and some green glitter resin hoops from the Dame DeVille Etsy shop. This would work in cooler months with tights and knee high or ankle booties to add a warm touch of color on our grey winter days!
Abstract Leopard Print Sweater by Andree by Unit, Size 3x — Cost to Keep $75.50
Finally, we have this cozy, abstract, leopard print sweater just in time for fall! This sweater is cozy, but not too thick of a knit that makes it deal for layering. It has loads of stretch as well making it form fitting. The cut on it is a bit longer than I would prefer on my frame, but if I sized up I think I would like it as a baggier fit. This would look fantastic with a faux leather mini skirt, tights, and boots or with jeggings and sneakers for a casual, but cute ensemble. I styled it for late summer/early fall when you have that slight chill in the air with a pencil skirt, my Torrid jelly sandals, and teal acrylic hoops that match the blue spots on my sweater.
Verdict
This month's Gwynnie Bee selections were a fun and surprising mix! My favorite piece far and away was the purple ruffle dress-- what a stunner! I did appreciate the other two pieces as well, but not nearly as that amazing piece! I love being able to rent items from Gwynnie Bee-- I would have never thought to give this dress a second look if I was in a store. It allows me to try styles and brands I may never have otherwise. Plus, Gwynnie Bee has some of the best deals and incentives! With every purchase, closeted item, and returned pieces, you accrue member points that can be used to purchase items! These points can add up to either $5, $10, or a $15 discount! I was able to save $5 off of the Smak Parlour dress due to this incentive!
Gwynnie Bee also offers a variety of additional sales on at home items, too. I have been reviewing Gwynnie Bee since the last five years and it is one of the subscription services I suggest the most. If I have a friend in between sizes or needing office wear, but with a low budget, Gwynnie Bee is a wonderful option. You can try on pieces and the faster you return them, the sooner you get a new item. In addition, Gwynnie Bee has an outlet that members have access to where you can get even further discounted pre-worn items. I have found so many good deals on there, some pieces less than ten dollars! Such a steal!
A service like Gwynnie Bee is a great option for someone like myself that has been working from home and laying low during the pandemic, but is slowly attending more social events. I don't frequent malls and often shop online out of convenience. Certainly, I do miss shopping dates with my friends, but I also appreciate having amazing fashions delivered right to my door! I don't have to deal with fitting rooms, masking up, slathering myself in hand sanitizer, or getting in the car and leaving the house! All from the comfort of my own home!
What are you waiting for-- especially with 50% off for your first month! This month's selections were absolutely adorable-- are you as excited as me to see what is in store for us next month?
