What's Inside This Box

Fleur & Bee H2 Oh Yeah Moisturizer - Retail Value - $38.00

Fleur & Bee makes a very decent moisturizer. It isn't perfect for my dry skin type, but it made my skin feel smooth and hydrated enough for daytime/under my makeup wear. This formula prides itself in its anti-aging and wrinkle-fighting ability, containing 21 nourishing actives with aloe vera, hyaluronic acid and glycerin at the top of the list. After a few days of wear, I've found I like this the most when I mix a little of The Ordinary's Rose Hip Oil with it; it provides a nice nightcap for my skin.

Mudmasky Serum-Infused Eye Mask - Retail Value - $49.00

After 2 months of caring for a newborn, this girl needs all the undereye love she can get! Masks, thick eye creams, and icy eye globes are all must-haves for me at this point. Although this mask has a costly price tag, I could see treating myself to this product in the future. My undereye looks much better, just after two treatments. I've also added a new eye cream to the mix, but wow, does this soften and completely hydrate my skin! Vitamins K, C, E, and D are all present in this formula.

Jill Starter Kit - Retail Value - $24.99

I've heard all the cool cats are dermaplaning nowadays, but I have attachment issues to the peach fuzz on my face. Weird, I know. I don't, however, have any attachment to the hair that graces the back of my hands and under my eyebrows, so I put this razor straight to work. I was impressed with the smooth, hairless surface it left behind and could definitely get used to this look. This kit comes with the Glow Wand, 2 blade options, a 'gunk pad' and the carrying case.

Ethique Wombar Shampoo Bar - Retail Value - $17.00

purple shampoo bar

Shampoo bars can sometimes be tricky to master, but I think my method has gotten me the best possible results; in turn, I have been loving shampoo bars recently, and this one is no different. While on maternity leave, I have only been washing my hair twice a week. I use a conditioner first, do a quick rinse, then comes the shampooing step. This lovely lavender bar was easy to work with. First I apply it to my scalp directly with a few swipes. I rub the product onto my scalp, then I pick up my shampoo bar again, rub it in my hands, and then I apply it to the lengths of my hair. After some scrubbing and combing through with my fingers, I rinse thoroughly. This product works great with my fine hair; it has cocoa butter, but it doesn't weigh my hair down.

Three Ships Dew Drops Mini - Retail Value - $11.67

serum mini

I've been looking for a new Vitamin C serum that is gentle and hard-working. I need the brightening, and this one promises that and much more. It uses tremella mushrooms as a natural source of hyaluronic acid in addition to Kakadu plum, which contains 100x more Vitamin C than oranges;  I am hoping to see results by the time this sample runs out, just in case this is the one.

Verdict

This month's Kinder Beauty Box is a total success! I found so many new products and brands that I love, and I can't wait to check out more from them, including Mudmasky and Ethique. Every single product was a smash hit, which is so rare in beauty subscriptions. Kinder Beauty is a great option if you're looking to broaden your horizons with cruelty-free and vegan options. This month’s box has a retail value of $140.66, which is an amazing value for its cost of $26.

I’m a self-proclaimed “cool mom” who loves a little, who am I kidding, a lot of razzle-dazzle. I have been box-obsessed for over 10 years, and I am always on the hunt for new beauty, fun flair and trendy clothing boxes. A fun night for me includes an exfoliating foot mask and a bag of Dot's Pretzels while binging Rupaul’s Drag Race.

They have started subscribers pick which box they want staring with the November box. I would’ve picked the one with the moisturizer in Oct box instead of the mask too.

I purchased the Kinder box not necessarily thinking I’d get Oct, but I did and was disappointed that I did not get the moisturizer, but a clay mask. The eye cream is interesting, the serum not much product to make a review and the bar shampoo, I’m on the fence with it kinda dried out my hair. I don’t know if they have a skip a month or if I’ll continue with them. I think the value is there and trying new products that are vegan.
