Little Passports is a subscription box that helps kids explore the world through fun and educational activities. They offer a range of subscription options, and they recently came out with an Animals Wild box for ages 3-5 that explores different animals around the world and their habitats.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)
First Impressions
Our box theme this month was "Follow the Flock!" and it was all about migration.
What's Inside This "Animals Wild" Box?
This booklet introduced us to our habitat and provided instructions for our game.
Game Materials
We received some foam plants to assemble and a wooden crab as well as some rubber bands.
Pop-up Playset
Each box includes an innovative pop-up playset that goes along with our theme. There are four different cardboard animals to assemble for playing with as well as a clip to hold the playset open. The blue strip of paper opened up to give us some assembly instructions.
The playset is divided into four different sections, this time with a few different habitats and there are little flaps that lift and open to reveal more facts and activities. It's very engaging and interactive!
The Activities
My son was eager to get the animals for his playset put together first. He assembled the crab, dolphin, butterfly, and an arctic tern to play with.
Next, we got ready for beach bowling by adding the wooden ring to the center of our crab along with some rubber bands.
When we gave the wheel a few twists and pulled it back then let it go, our crab would "walk" across the table.
After assembling the foam chili peppers, leaves, and fruit, we set them up for a game of bowling. He released the crab which acted as the ball and watched him plow through the foam shapes. Cute!
After we played a little bit, he was eager to get started on some of the coloring and other activities in the playset!
Value - Was This Box Worth It?
The Cost: $27.95 + free shipping
This was another cute box with some fun and engaging ideas! My 6-year-old son loves animals so he always gets excited about these boxes. I think he would say the boxes are worth it to him, but I would love to see just one more item like a small toy or activity in these to give it a better overall value!
Key Takeaways
Even though my son is older than the recommended age, he still thinks these boxes are great! They are perfect for the intended age group as far as the material and the level of hands-on assembly these activities take.

To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes, although you will most likely start with the Amazon box, which is the first box in the series!
