First Impressions
As always, my goodies arrived in the pink IPSY bubble mailer and a drawstring bag. The design this month is bright red with an abstract hot pink pattern.

Now, on to the items!
Kat Burki Vitamin C Intensive Face Cream, 1.7 fl oz - Retail Value $116

I have tried a few formulas from this brand and I always tend to enjoy them. They are also on the pricy end, so it is pretty great to see them arrive in my Ipsy bag! This vitamin C cream has loads and loads of cica inside, so you know my redness-prone skin approves. It is also one of the more interesting textures of creams I have used in recent memory. This freshly scented cream is lightweight and almost whipped and absorbs so quickly you might be surprised that it has some moisturizing heavy hitters inside like shea and jojoba. There is also a stable type of brightening vitamin C inside along with loads of antioxidants and plant extracts. While this is lighter than I generally prefer a moisturizer to be, I really love how my makeup sits on top of it and could absolutely see this being a great warm-weather day cream.
Truly Unicorn Fruit Body Butter, 1.3 oz - Retail Value $20

Truly has some of the cutest packaging out there and this rainbow-whipped body butter is one of its iconic offerings. I previously wrote this cutie off because I just knew it would smell sugary and foody, and my vibes are more unisex and spicy when it comes to scents. Apparently, though, Ipsy knows best. I was absolutely prepared to dislike the fragrance here but it is kind of magical. Sure, it is sugary and sweet, but it isn't as fruity as I expected. Instead, it is pure spun sugar, vanilla, matcha, and flowers. It reminds me of a much better and more sophisticated version of Pink Sugar if that is one of your favorites. And the formula? WOW. That whipped texture hides some of the most moisturizing body butter I have ever used. In fact, it is too much for daytime use. I recommend applying it to your hands and sleeping in gloves or all over your dry legs before snoozing away in your warmest sweatpants. Glowing skin is your reward in the morning.

This is the only real dud in my delivery this month. I find products like this extremely drying and I am not acneic enough to justify using them as anything other than a targeted spot treatment. I do really love that pretty periwinkle color though!
Kinship Supermelt Hyaluronic Plumping Lip Treatment, 1o mL - Retail Value $18

'Tis the season for dry and wind-chapped lips! And that means little treats like this one to keep your smile smooth and comfortable. This slim blue tube contains a really great jelly lip formula that smells like vanilla and works as a treatment and a gloss in one. It has a plush texture that adds shine and does give the appearance of fuller lips without any burning or stinging. I have been using it before bed and waking up to soft happy lips. I need another one for my purse!
Araceli Beauty Scissors + Tweezers - Retail Value $26

My last item would be less exciting if I wasn't needing a new set of tweezers just as it arrived! This pair is sharp and grabby, and perfect for stray eyebrow hairs (or... chin hairs). The scissors are going in my first aid kit but if you use strip lashes often I would imagine these would be perfect for trimming and shaping.
Verdict
This month's IPSY Glam Bag Plus felt like a pretty good ending to my 2022 deliveries. The value was great: $214 for a $28 subscription. I loved the facial cream and I am newly obsessed with the Truly body butter. The lip treatment is perfect for this time of year and I needed some tweezers for sure. The mask was the only miss, but I have someone in mind for a re-gift!
