BELLAPIERRE COSMETICS Mineral Lipstick in Ruby, 3.5 g - Retail Value $15.00
Bellapierre Cosmetics is a brand whose products I’ve always been impressed with, so I am more than thrilled to experience their lip products for the first time. Although I’m not a huge lipstick wearer (more of a gloss kind of gal), this Mineral Lipstick in Ruby is stunning. The shade is a deep red that definitely comes in handy when you want to create a ‘look.’ Certainly not the type of color I’d wear on a regular basis, but since I enjoy the brand, I will keep this lipstick in my makeup arsenal for a night out with the girls. I do like the creaminess of this product, and it doesn’t seem to dry down but instead keeps my lips naturally hydrated and smooth. A perfect lipstick for all-day wear, if lipstick is indeed one of your main staples. Plus, no intrusive scents, hooray; nothing bothers me more than when a lip product has a chemical scent to it.

BELLAPIERRE COSMETICS Gel Lip Liner in Ruby (Truly Red), 1.8 g - Retail Value $24.95
Next up in our lip treatment from Bellapierre is a standard lip liner. The shade of the liner beautifully matches that from the lipstick above. It is indeed a bold color, and once again, I won’t be using this in my everyday makeup routine, but I’ll keep it on the side for creating some fun nighttime looks. Definitely another high quality product that applies smoothly with a creamy, buildable texture. I also really appreciate the fact that the formula is waterproof, which results in less transfer. I’m not exactly a pro when it comes to flawlessly outlining my lips, but I get better with each attempt, so bonus points for the ultra-precise tip, which does make it easier to apply.

BELLAPIERRE COSMETICS Clear Lip Gloss, 3.5 ml - Retail Value $18.00
When it comes to lip products, this is more my speed. I am thrilled to have Bellapierre’s Clear Lip Gloss. I’ve never had the pleasure of trying this product until now, and I couldn’t be happier. I love applying this clear gloss over my lipstick-free lips for a natural look. The shimmer it brings to my lips is lovely, and I like how it feels in terms of texture. It leaves my lips feeling smooth overall, but I do wish it provided a touch more hydration for long-term wear. I’m a huge fan of the doe foot applicator, and the scent… OMG. It reminds me of luscious vanilla cupcakes. Very happy to have this gloss in my everyday makeup stash.
BELLAPIERRE COSMETICS Lip Scrub, 6 g - Retail Value $11.00
Ohhh, now, we’re talking. I love a good lip scrub. This Lip Scrub from Bellapierre serves to exfoliate the dead skin on your lips. I love the formula of the exfoliant; it’s a true sugar scrub, and very gentle on the delicate skin of my lips. When I first applied this and finished the initial scrubbing process, I rinsed it off with warm water, and wow… My lips were silky smooth to the touch, yet plump, glowy, and hydrated. Unlike older exfoliants that used those little plastic beads, this scrub is completely natural, which is my favorite thing about it. Plus, with its ultra-moisturizing formula including jojoba oil, vitamin E, and shea butter, even after a bit of a firm scrub, my lips were left without any irritation. I only wish the brand could have been more generous with the amount of product itself, but a little can go a long way, I suppose.
PALMER’S Glow Radiance Sheet Mask, 1-pc - Retail Value $5.55
I like to consider myself a sheet mask connoisseur of sorts, but I don’t believe I have ever seen a sheet mask from Palmer’s, so I was happy to see this Glow Radiance Sheet Mask included. Sheet masks pack a powerful punch of star ingredients, and this one is no different, containing a distinct blend of Japanese soyngyi mushroom, white lily, and licorice. This unique combination works wonders to hydrate, brighten, and ultimately result in radiance. I applied the mask and let it sit for ten minutes. After removing it, I was left with refreshed, glowing skin. The mask itself adhered very nicely to my face, which I appreciate. There’s nothing more annoying than when I need to adjust a sheet mask after even the slightest movements. I have to say, this was incredibly soothing to my skin after a long day, and I’m excited to try out my next sheet mask from Palmer’s.
TAUPE COAT 10-Free Nail Polish in K St., 15 ml - Retail Value $10.99
Wow, I am SO impressed with this 10-Free Nail Polish from Taupe Coat. The shade ‘K St.’ is a stunning fire engine red. For me, personally, the color isn’t one that I would wear on a regular basis, but it’s definitely perfect for the upcoming Valentine’s Day. This has proved to be an incredibly high quality polish. With the first coat, my entire nail was covered. This polish is nowhere near watery, and it comes out completely opaque. I love it when I only need to apply one coat while still getting that bright pop of color. What I especially appreciate about this polish is its ten-free formula. It did have that classic chemical scent to it, though, but the scent dissipates very quickly, and I really only noticed it once first opening the bottle. The brush is a generous width too, which means less swipes across each nail. I’m thrilled with this polish, so I’ll be keeping it in my stash for those special occasions.
Verdict
This was a great month for the Cocotique Makeup Lovers Box! The highlight for me was the stunning red nail polish from Taupe Coat; I was so impressed with how opaque the formula is despite being ten-free. Although I wish there were more in the container, I’m a huge fan of the Bellapierre lip scrub, which hydrates and exfoliates to perfection. The sheet mask from Palmer’s… What can I say; I always love a good sheet mask. Bellapierre’s other lip products were a fun inclusion, and I really love the shine of the clear lip gloss. Although red isn’t one of my everyday colors in my makeup routine, both the lipstick and lip liner from Bellapierre are great products, and very nice to have in my arsenal for special occasions. Overall, I thought this was an excellent box, with a solid variation of self-care and makeup products, and the value was there.
