The January 2023 Box
Along with my beauty items, I received an info card that details what items are in the box. Happy New Year! We are in 2023, and I am feeling great. I know we are only a couple weeks in, but I'm expecting the best of every category of my life, and that includes makeup. So let's jump right into this review and see what Medusa's Makeup has to offer us this year!
Velour Scrunchie with hidden zipper pocket – Listed Value $10.00
What's the resolution on most New Year's list? It's generally to workout more. Why not be fit and fashionable with this uber cute hair tie? And this is no regular hair tie. This scrunchie includes a hidden compartment to hide things like keys, tissue...and maybe gym snacks? Cute and useful.
Love Byrd Rose All Day Facial Toner, 2 oz– Retail Value $14.00
Our next item is a Medusa's favorite of mine. The Rose All Day toner is made with rose flower water and is great for all skin types. Rose water is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and can be used to treat a number of skin irritations. I personally enjoy the boost in hydration my skin feels after application. This is one item that stays on my nightstand!
So Susan Cashmere Matte Lipstick (Cardinal), 1.8 g – Retail Value $21.00
Now ya'll know I love me a good red lippie, so it will be no surprise that I am a huge fan of this next item. This lipstick is in a liner form and delivers a creamy texture with a bold color. Ingredients such as Silk Protein help to fight off signs of aging with intense hydration.
For this look, I used the liner as a full lipstick. I would like to experiment with using this as just a liner however, and pairing it with a nude or pigmented gloss.
Medusa's Baked Eyeshadow (My Bad), 4 g – Retail Value $14.00
This next item is giving major coco vibes and I'm here for it. One thing I appreciate about Medusa's baked shadows is that you can wear them wet or dry, giving a variety of looks.
It's a natural color that can be used for an everyday look, or a more glam depending on what you're going for. I'd most likely use it for my go to base color.
Medusa's Glitter Eyeshadow (Shooting Star), 3 g – Retail Value $9.00
Ending our January box with a glittery shadow that can be compared to a magical fairy dust! This glitter can be used in a variety of ways and for many looks including festival makeup, party makeup, etc.
I placed a small amount of glitter in the corners of my eyes and think it makes my eyes really 'pop'.
Verdict
Medusa's Makeup is starting the year off strong with this month's products. I had a lot of fun being introduced to products I know and love, such as the rose facial toner. This toner is a must have for me because of the wonderful anti-inflammatory benefits. I also enjoyed being introduced to new items like the cardinal red lipstick. I'm looking forward to playing around with different lip color pairings.

To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You'll likely receive the February bag. Some past boxes are also available for a one-time purchase here.
Value Breakdown: I estimate I received $68 worth of items this month. I've received a higher value in the past, but I still think is fantastic for only having paid $22.95.
