I am such a sucker for an oil serum. It is the perfect addition for skin that is dry but also needs the benefits that supercharged serums provide. This one is a vitamin A marvelous blend of nourishing oils (argan, Kakadu Plum, squalane, sunflower), antioxidants (green tea), fruit steam cells, ceramides, and retinol makes this feel like a golden elixir. It applies smoothly and immediately adds moisture to the skin while delivering a very gentle retinol (specifically, super stable hydroxypinacolone retinoate) that helps keep your skin smooth and youthful by reducing the appearance of fine lines and aiding in collagen production. This type of vitamin A derivative was chosen specifically because it allows the user to add retinol to their routine without the irritation that sometimes accompanies this potent anti-aging ingredient. It smells herbal and floral, mostly due to the addition of anti-inflammatory blue tansy and rose oil. I like to apply a few drops after cleansing and then finish my skincare routine off at night with a heavier night cream. I wake up with glowing, happy skin every morning I have used this magical serum.

Much like I appreciate an oil serum, I am also a huge fan of an oil cleanser. If you are used to a gel or cream cleanser this might feel like an odd experience that you might dislike at first. But everyone I have recommended oil cleansers to eventually falls in love with them! I like to apply mine to a dry face and massage until I feel my makeup start to dissolve. Then I rinse with warm water. I think a lot of us are used to that clean, cold, and tight feeling that we associate with a "clean" face but the reality is that this can indicate a face that has been stripped of its moisture barrier. It takes a few washes to get used to the softer and more supple finish you feel after using an oil cleanser but the long-term difference is one that your face will thank you for! This oil is particularly decadent. It smells like vanilla and grapefruit peel and honestly, the scent alone is worth you using this until the bottle is empty. But I would be selling it short to not include the other amazing ingredients inside: macadamia seed oil, sunflower seed oil, exfoliating pineapple extract, and lots of fruit antioxidants!
Verdict
Big praises from me for this month's Beauty Heroes. The overall value this month is $130 and the products absolutely feel special and luxe. Both made my skin feel soft and glowing while protecting them from long-term negative aging effects. I already adore the Leahlani brand and I am so excited for other subscribers to experience these goodies too!
