Love Goodly items always come packed neatly in a small cardboard box, with recyclable paper sizzle padding the items. It's a simple but thoughtful presentation.

Speaking of their shop, they're currently transferring their inventory to the NOVICA warehouse, so it's not available. Those who have been following along for awhile will know that Love Goodly was acquired by NOVICA, an ecomm site that promotes the work of artisans, in 2020. But this is the first time I've ever seen a product from them pop up in a box! This small bowl and spoon are beautiful. They're simple, smooth, and light. I love that we're sent a dedicated mask mixing setup along with the mask itself. Mixing masks in the palm of my hand usually leads to a mess, and I don't do them enough to have a dedicated bowl already established.

Here's yet another clutch mask ritual addition! This beauty tool is specifically designed for face mask application, with a soft and flexible silicone tip. This seems to be sold out across the internet, so receiving it through Love Goodly makes me feel like quite an insider!

Here are all my mask supplies from this box. The next photo shows one wooden spoonful of mask, and one wooden spoonful of water. Next time I'll do two spoonfuls of mask and maybe three or four of water, because as you can see from the final image, the consistency was a bit too thick to spread smoothly across my face, and the amount with one scoop didn't make quite enough to cover my whole face. It did, however, feel wonderfully cooling and smell beautifully earthy. And when washed off in the shower (after only a few minutes) my face felt extremely soft and smooth.

This immunity shot is provided for a little act of additional self-care while you're waiting 15-20 minutes for your mask to do its magic. It's packed with 15 high-quality herbs and roots like goji berry, lungwort, vitamin A, and more to pack a natural punch of immune-boosting protection, but you'd never know it, as it tastes light and peachy. I suppose there's a faint herby after-taste, but compared to a lot of immunity shots, it's really quite mild.

Finally for regular subscribers, we're sent this rose and amethyst face oil that is an Only With Love and Love Goodly collab. The oil itself is mild and neutral to the smell and touch, but it's charged by amethyst and infused with rose petals. I haven't been using oils on my face while I have bangs because it always finds a way to make them greasy, but have been enjoying this on my chest, upper arms, and elbows after I moisturize my face in the mornings.
RAEKA Beauty Illuminating Turmeric Polish, 1.7 fl oz – Retail Value $28

For VIP subscribers, Love Goodly also included this turmeric face scrub. I cook with turmeric plenty, and have taken turmeric capsules, but I've never experienced it in a beauty product. I love the sinus-clearing scent it has. You can see that its deep yellow-orange color tints the creamy scrub, which is dotted with walnut and oat granules to exfoliate. It's only meant to be used a couple of times per week, which Love Goodly suggests you could try alternating with the provided face mask. For me, this scrub feels more realistic to use regularly than the face mask does, but I admire those who have created space in their everyday for a mask or other skincare moment!
Verdict
I'm so pleased that Love Goodly stuck with the concept of offering one cohesive self-care theme. This edition starts with a face mask and the necessary accoutrements, bolsters your system with an immunity shot, and finishes you off with a hydrating oil. All are eco-friendly, nontoxic, vegan, and cruelty-free, of course! Some are also handmade, made in the USA, gluten-free, and/or non-GMO to top it off. I hope Love Goodly continues on with this type of connected curation to their boxes—although, I haven't met a Love Goodly box I didn't love, so whatever they come up with is sure to please!

Value Breakdown: The Love Goodly bi-monthly VIP box costs $48.95 + free US shipping. VIP subscribers received 6 items this month. That breaks down to $8.16 per item, which ranges from fair-to-a-steal across the board. There's not one item in here I wouldn't pay at least double for. The total retail value I calculated for the VIP box is $105.50, using provided values for both the RAEKA items (which weren't available online at the time of this review) and a prorated value for the immunity shot (which is only sold in packs of 6 or more). For regular non-VIP subscribers, the promised value is $101+, which this month doesn't technically hit according to my calculations, but I still find this box to be a great deal.
