I don't know about you, but I am LOVING the featured May quote of: "Happiness looks good on you." We are to the point in the school year where everything seems to be falling apart, and I have to remind myself on the daily to take a breath and think positive. With all of the negativity swirling around, this mindset shift has made a huge difference, and I love that Vellabox is incorporating it in this month's box! Large in size and health conscious, this subscription includes a candle that lasts me literally the entire month and is suited perfectly to my fragrance desires. Not only are the scents fantastic, but they also include a surprise gift and Spotify playlist, creating not just a box, but an entire experience!

I swear there is nothing like the slow burn of a candle. That coupled with an amazing fragrance like this month's mixture of white honey, amber, and warm vanilla literally has me melting into a puddle of relaxation. Made from soy, this 16 oz candle is the perfect size to last the entire month and was created by Vellabox themselves. This month only, they are showcasing Vellabox candles to celebrate the launch of their NEW Moods Collection with six scents representing specific moods. The May box features four of the six scents, them being, Nostalgic, Bubbly, Groovy, and Lucky. I personally am thrilled to receive this cozy fragrance, but may have to jump on their website to invite some luck in my life as well!
I love the fact that this box features a different candle maker each month. Not only do we receive a background story on each candle maker, but we also receive a coupon code, and a QR code for easy re-purchase.

Wood Trinket Tray - Retail Value $14

Personally I love trinket trays, and this little piece not only looks old-fashioned, but pairs with my house perfectly. Living in a renovated 1920s farmhouse, we kept the dark stained wood, and this little piece fits right in! With a carved-out rose, my grandmother's engagement ring looked right at home sitting on it. A fun tray to add to my night stand, I appreciate the functional, yet interesting surprise items Vellabox sends, and am happy to call this my own.
Was This Box Worth It?
The Cost: $38
Vellabox is seriously one of my very favorite subscription boxes of all time because their chic design coupled with their high quality candles and extra gifts are amazing and functional. Since starting this subscription, these are honestly the only candles I burn. $38 for a candle that lasts the entire month, plus an on trend (and useful) bonus gift - count me in! I can't wait to see what's in store for June! Bring on summer vacay!
