Welcome to another round of Add to Cart! It seems like Sofia Richie is the new IT girl and I am kind of here for it. Her understated old-money fashion vibes are making me relook at all of my old thrifted favorites in a new light, and her wedding glam was everything. I loved her clean and effortless look so much that I did a deep dive into the exact products that were used. I had no idea she was the beauty director for NUDESTIX, but it makes sense now that these products were featured so heavily in her wedding makeup. Knowing that I normally wouldn't select the same colors used on Sofia if left to my own devices, I figured this was the perfect chance to break out of my comfort zone. Which... went mostly well?

The Packaging

NUDESTIX sticks always arrive in tin boxes, which is nice but also feels a little excessive. I think they could be great for stashing jewelry while traveling, but other than that I'm not sure what I will use them for. The rest of these details get an A+ from me. Each stick is double-ended, with one side housing the highly pigmented cream and the other has a built-in blending brush. The color of each stick is clearly displayed so you don't get confused since the rest of the details are identical.
The Texture

The texture here is so creamy! If you could build a perfect cream formula, this would be it. Both of these are in a matte finish, but NUDESTIX also has more radiant finishes for some of the blushes and highlighter sticks.

But see 'Sunkissed' underneath? I kind of like it.
Ok, the pigment levels here are off the chart. And the colors kind of really scared me when I swatched them. Specifically, the 'Picante' shade is every bit as bright and bold as it looks! And since I have a more neutral than warm skin tone, I kind of knew it wouldn't be for me. But, you know, Add to Cart is all about trying new things, so I did.
'Picante' is too orange for me, and makes me look a little jaundiced. It kind of worked on my cheeks, but as I blended it on my face, it went really orange, especially the closer I got to my undereye. But 'Sunkissed' has some real promise. I have a hard time finding bronzers that work on my skin and this one has a dirty pink undertone that is very flattering, especially along my hairline. And it looks like I have seen a healthy amount of sunshine. It also doubles as a great summer blush!
My Takeaway
So, my color adventure was a half success. 'Picante' is absolutely an amazing choice for warmer, bronzed skin tones. So all of my golden babes, jump on it! 'Sunkissed" is going to be more universally flattering and is a wonderful choice as a bronzer, blush, and even a lip color.
