Inside is a card introducing the earrings of the month and giving some styling inspo, and your jewelry. The earrings arrive in a small plastic bag for protection (not pictured), but other than that, all the packaging is recyclable.

I've been noticing as I run errands recently that stores in the US are gearing up for Fourth of July celebrations. I feel like my mother saying, "It seems so early!" If I'm going to wear a patriotic pair of earrings, these are it. The versions of red, white, and blue used here are outside the norm for that color combo, which feels fresh. If you remove these earrings from the context of the 4th of July, though, they work for me for other reasons: I'm a complementary colors fanatic these days. There's something so zingy about a high-contrast outfit, and I'm always looking for opportunities to work them in. The dusty blue and neon red are doing what they do so well in this pair. The navy and cream beads ground them and add interest. YES to this pair!
It looks from the info card like other subscribers may have been sent other red, white, and/or blue earring shapes this month, rather than just this one pair in other colorways (all of which are pretty eye-catching, by the way). Do you subscribe to this box? Did you get a different pair?

I'm all-in on statement earrings, always have been, and I love how much space this pair takes up. They really spice up a monochrome or colorblock outfit, which is what I've been drawn to wearing most these days. If you like the concept of these earrings but aren't big on the colors or pattern, INK+ALLOY's Seed Bead Earrings section has dozens of varieties. It's amazing how much can be done with one earring concept.
Verdict
I can't see myself having bought red, white, and blue earrings to celebrate the 4th of July if left to my own devices, but with this less-mainstream take on the color combo, I'm here for it. Plus, the complementary colors they feature are exactly what my eye is drawn to these days, so I'm really pumped to have some striking, unique, contrasting colors in my growing collection of beaded earrings!
