First Impressions
This box doesn't come with an info sheet, but it does have a card with a QR code you can scan. The contents of the box are snuggly packaged. And it's always nice to see full-size products inside.
Sometimes we receive bonus samples, like this Nine Less SPF sample.
BomiBox "Ginseng" Box Review
Elizavecca Witch Piggy Hell Pore Control Hyaluronic Acid 97 Serum - Retail Value $13
I can always count on Elizavecca to have fun packaging for their skincare products. And even if the name of their product is a mouthful (this kind of sounds like some super harsh astringent oil control serum), it really is just a simple hyaluronic acid serum made with 97% hyaluronic acid. Out of the dropper this looks like a thick, clear serum, but as soon as it's applied it instantly melts and absorbs into the skin easily. The formula on this is mostly hyaluronic acid, but it does also have a few drops of niacinamide, allantoin, and adenosine. This is the kind of product that helps to keep skin hydrated without feeling heavy and layers well with other serums, and I always appreciate a team player in my skincare routine.
Beauty of Joseon Revive Serum: Ginseng + Snail Mucin, 30 mL - Retail Value $17
Every time a full-size Beauty of Joseon product appears in a subscription box appears, I feel like I won a prize. They are just such a good brand with nice products, and this revive serum is no exception. Made with ginseng water and ginseng extract, snail mucin, niacinamide, Centella Asiatica, and mushroom extract, this serum is soothing, hydrating, and adds a boost of nutrients to the skin. This is the kind of antioxidant-packed product that almost any skin type would benefit from, and I have been enjoying using it in my routine after the Elizavecca serum that came in this box. I layer it after the Elizavecca serum because the texture on this is just a tad thicker (though I would still classify it as a thin serum), and I appreciate that it has no noticeable scent.
celimax Derma Nature Relief Madecica pH Balancing Foam Cleanser, 150 mL - Retail Value $16.40
Cleansers take a while for me to finish them, and I vowed to change that after recently moving (my bathroom was a graveyard of half-opened cleansers). So, after trying this cleanser out solely on my face a few times, my fiance and I have also been testing it out as a body cleanser too (skin is skin, right?). What I really like about this cleanser is that it is gentle and non-stripping. Whether I am applying it to my face or my arms, this didn't leave my skin feeling dry or tight. It does foam up once water is added and overall I find this to be a bit on the basic side, but it isn't a bad cleanser- it just isn't one I would seek out to repurchase.
Mary & May Rose Hyaluronic Hydra Wash off Pack, 30g - Retail Value $9.90
I love when I get a clay mask that isn't drying, and that was my experience with this Mary & May rose mask. It's made with kaolin and bentonite clays, but it also has french rose petals, damask rose water, fig extract, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, and ceramide NP. I applied it after using the celimax cleanser and wore it for about ten minutes while taking a bath, and it never fully dried on my skin (which, to me, is a good thing). When I rinsed it away I thought that my skin was left soft and refreshed with no residual redness, and this is a mask that would be easy to incorporate into a once-a-week skincare rotation (plus, I love how reasonably priced it is).
SecretKey Sweet Glam Tint in Juicy Orange- Buy the full-size version for $13.64
We recieved a mini of the sweet glam tint in juicy orange from SecretKey, and I was pleasantly surprised by how wearable of a color it was based on name alone. The formula of it was very comfortable on my lips, and I like how it has a bit of a balmy texture to it in addition to the tint of color it provides.
Here it is swatched on my arm and then on my lips.
Elizavecca Fruits Deep Power Ringer Mask Pack - Retail Value $1.99 and Elizavecca Hyaluronic Acid Deep Power Ringer Mask Pack - Retail Value $0.99
Even though the star ingredients in these masks differ, I found the performance of them to be basically the same. Both of them were saturated with a serum-like essence that was hydrating without dripping down my neck, and the sheet mask material was of the more standard variety (as opposed to being a more luxurious plush material). This didn't fit my face as well as it could have, but that is to be expected with the more affordable sheet masks and it didn't stop my skin from soaking up the hydrating goodness these masks had to offer.

Key Takeaways
I thought this month's BomiBox subscription was another good box. From a numbers perspective, the box value is on the low side, but from a personal value perspective I really enjoyed getting two full-sized serums from two brands I already know and like that work well together. I think maybe one more product could have been thrown in, even if it was just another sample, but overall I am really happy with the box since all of the products worked well for me and are getting used (if any of the products were duds or ones that didn't work for my skin type I probably would be feeling a lot more bummed). I do think it is important to keep in mind that the values need to be taken with a grain of salt, because I have to get the values from websites that ship directly from Korea and they can vary wildly (and then you have to wait for international shipping). I've been reviewing BomiBox for years, and I definitely recommend this subscription if you're a fan of Korean skincare. If you're looking for a monthly beauty box comprised exclusively of K-Beauty products, BomiBox is one of the best out there.
