Calm, relaxed, and beachy vibes are what this month's Vellabox has in store, and I am so here for it! After an insanely busy 4th of July weekend, I am ready to sleep in, wander lazily around my garden, and recharge. In order to do that, you can bet my evenings will include hot baths, lavender lotions, and you guessed it - my new Olive Roots candle!
Not only has Vellabox changed my candle life by sending large, health-conscious, toxic-free products, but the aromatherapy aspect is out of this world! I burn candles very often, and the 16 ounce size lasts all month. Not only are the scents fantastic, but they also include a surprise gift and Spotify playlist, creating not just a box, but an entire experience.

Beautiful in design, this month's Vellabox candle packs an ultra-alluring punch in the scent department. With notes of mahogany, rolling waves, and vanilla, this woodsy yet fresh blend gives off a masculine vibe that is extremely calming and sensual. With a burn time of 80 hours, this soy candle will last me the entire month, and looks amazing with my decor. The scent throw with this particular fragrance is a little more than that of other candles I have received through this subscription, but isn't so much that my husband can't handle it. While my youngest son mentioned this slightly smells like my husband's deodorant, I am delighted with the fresh scent this month, and am really thinking about using this month's coupon to grab another.
I love the fact that this box features a different candle maker each month. Not only do we receive a background story on each candle maker, but we also receive a coupon code, and a QR code for easy re-purchase. This month's maker is Olive Roots which is a clean home fragrance company this produces toxic-free products. A couple that started making their own candles due to headaches caused by store-bought versions, they have expanded into local markets, wholesale, and corporate collaboration for custom scents. Awesome!

I love the inclusion of a reusable wet storage bag in this month's box. Perfectly matched with this month's fragrance choices, the chic pattern aligns perfectly with the simplistic font of the candle and color of the candle bag. Not only visually appealing, but perfect for wet swim suits, food, toiletries, and more. 14" X 11" is a decent size for this wet bag, and my "swim dress" fits right in. I appreciate the hangable snap handle, and am excited to utilize this bag on our next camping adventure!
Was This Box Worth It?
The Cost: $38
Vellabox is seriously one of my favorite subscriptions of all time. Pre-Vellabox, I was spending a ton of money on candles that would burn up instantly, leaving our furnace filter black and walls covered with soot. While Vellabox might be a little more spendy upfront, their high quality, health-conscious candles last much longer and keep our house much cleaner. Not only are the scents amazing, but I've saved money and discovered some really cool bonus items. Since starting this subscription, these are the only candles I burn. $38 for a candle that lasts an entire month, plus a useful bonus gift - count me in! I can't wait to see what's in store for August!
