First Impressions

I've wanted to try out Hello Bello's diaper bundle for a long time! When Maddie was first born, I was gifted a set of diapers along with some body wash and lotion from the company and absolutely loved the products. I thought the diaper designs were so cute and the self-care products not only smelled great but were crafted more consciously than a lot of the brands you find in stores.

So, of course, when the opportunity came up to try out a box from Hello Bello we called first dibs! And, once again, their products did not disappoint. The designs were all so cute and I was thrilled to receive 5 different self-care items. Let's now take a closer look at what we got!

What's Inside This Box

Size 4 Diaper Bundle - 7 Packs (147 diapers total; 7 packs of 21 diapers) - Retail Value: $62.93 ($8.99 per pack)

Aren't these diapers adorable? The designs we got this month included Tropic Like It's Hot, Funny Bunny, Sleepy Sloths, and Butterflies. I thought each cute was cute in its own way. but I think the Funny Bunny design was my favorite overall. I mean, who else offers a green diaper? Now that's cool!

Since Maddie's just over 21 lbs, I decided to go ahead and get the next size up. Last time we received Hello Bello diapers they ran slightly small, so I figured it would be to start building my supply of the next size up. Although they were just a tad big on her, she's definitely going to fit in them better within the next few months as fast as she's growing. I liked how soft and absorbent they were and they didn't leave behind any marks or rashes. The only criticism I have of these diapers is that there is no wetness indicator (only NB-2 have them), but other than that I loved these diapers!

Personal Care Bundle - Retail Value: $50.95

We also received a set of 5 personal care items for babies/toddlers. It included balm, sunscreen, bubble bath, lotion, and shampoo & wash.

Everywhere Balm - Retail Value: $12.99

You can never get enough balm, so I was super happy to get to try their Everywhere Balm. The ingredients were very clean and about half of them were organic. Key ingredients included coconut, chamomile, and tamanu oils and the product was completely free of petrolatum, beeswax, lanolin, and synthetic fragrance. I thought the portion size was generous and it worked very well on her skin.

Kids Mineral Sunscreen Spray - Retail Value: $13.99

Ok, I'll be honest: I didn't want to try out this product. Why? If you read the reviews on Hello Bello's website it has an overall rating of 2.6 stars and many customers have complained about getting a rash. I didn't want to risk letting Maddie experience this, so we just decided to keep it in our cabinet for now.

Bubble Bath - Retail Value: $7.99

I enjoyed using this product during Maddie's bath time. Some babies and toddlers might be sensitive to coconut-derived ingredients like coco-glucoside and Cocamidopropyl hydroxysultaine, but Maddie has never had any visible issues with them. The lavender scent was light and pleasant, and once again the ingredients were mostly naturally derived, with several of them being organic. Key ingredients included calendula, avocado, and cucumber extracts.

Baby Lotion - Retail Value: $7.99

We don't use lotion that often on Maddie, but this product was relatively clean compared to what's sold in most stores. The scent was great and not overbearing and the product felt light and cool to the touch. This lotion is made with key ingredients like jojoba seed oil, avocado, calendula, and cucumber, and a handful are organic. We'll probably use the lotion a few times a month, but most of the time I prefer to apply natural balms to her skin.

Baby Shampoo & Body Wash - Retail Value: $7.99

I love using this shampoo and body wash combo on Maddie! It's pretty much the same formula as the bubble bath, just with different concentrations of certain ingredients. Once again, if your child is sensitive to coconut-derived ingredients, then this isn't the product for you, but we've personally never had a bad reaction to the ingredients. It's made with jojoba seed oil and a blend of botanical extracts and lathers up very well. We'll definitely go through this product very quickly!

The Verdict

Hello Bello was a hit in our household again! We loved how cute the diapers were and they'll be perfect for the next several months on her. We'll also get plenty of use out of the balm and bath products, but we probably won't use the lotion much, and we definitely will stay away from the sunscreen due to customer reviews. Overall, Hello Bello's products are relatively clean compared to what you can buy in most stores and work great.

Value Breakdown:This month's box has a retail value of $113.88 and the diaper bundle box usually costs around $69.99 for a diaper and wipes bundle plus one freebie and 15% off add-on items, which comes out to roughly $106.50.
