First Impressions
With 10 days until I return to school, you can bet I am trying to pack every fun summer event I can into these last few days. Today marks the first day of our local county fair, so after registering 70 items, the kids and I laid low. Picking berries and leisurely walking the old railroad grade for agates, we were able to slow down and enjoy the moment for just a bit. Speaking of berries - this month's Wicked Good's box was packed with delectable aromas that left me with a relaxed sense, close to that of our earlier adventures. Read below to see what I discovered in this month's box!
What's Inside This Box
"Parfumerie de Creme Glacee" Perfume Oil Roller, 10 mL - Listed Value $18
This month features some beautiful French names to fit some decadent fragrances. Packed with notes of vanilla, heavy cream, salted caramel, amyris, orgeat, and Saigon cinnamon, this perfume oil roller is the epitome of sexy, warm fragrance. While reminiscent of a freshly baked cake, this oil wears beautifully on the crooks of my elbows and offers a light waft of deliciousness. I feel the salted caramel aroma is most notable, and because of this, pairs beautifully with all of the other items included this month. Like adding berries to a cake, the opportunities for customized scents are endless with this month's box, and I am a really big fan.
"Mystere de Baies" Perfume Spray, 1 oz - Listed Value $39
Again, with the beautiful French title, this box is truly fitting with the "Les Glaces Fantaisistes" theme of the month. Though not quite as warm was the perfume oil, this month's perfume spray is again magnificent. Featuring notes of juicy raspberries, strawberry cream, rose petals, and Madagascar vanilla, this too has a faint likeness to dessert. Sensual and sexy, this perfume smelled good enough to eat. With a spritz of the spray on my neckline, and a roll of the oil on my elbows, it made for the perfect combination that left my husband drooling.
Perfume Palette
A perfume palette is a concept that is new to me, but I sort of like it! This round palette is protected by a plastic screw-on top, and is divided into three sections. With three different fragrances, this neat design is perfect for throwing in a purse, or keeping in a desk drawer for ease of use. Extremely fruity and mouthwatering together, each color offers its own unique characteristics that work well by themselves too. Featuring notes of Turkish apricot, porporato fig, candied ginger, torched sugar, coconut custard cream, vanilla rum, maple, tart cherries, bourbon, vanilla, and marshmallow, you truly can't go wrong with any combination you try! Personally, I love the tart cherry option, because it reminds me of round cherry candies I ate as a kid!
Lip Balm
The last item we received this month was a container of lip balm. Colorless, but very glossy, I was very impressed with the notes of orange blossom, Tahitian vanilla, and coconut milk. Exceedingly fruity and citrusy, this product also smelled good enough to eat. Light on the lips, and hydrating, I was in true need of this as the dry weather has taken a toll on my lips. While I am typically not a fan of applying lip gloss with my finger, I stuck it in my cosmetic bag as a morning treat on my lips!
