The beauty brand of the month is Blissoma! As usual, we're given a folded card that's loaded up with information about the brand and products we're about to explore. We're also sent a card with one suggestion of how to work your new products into a rhythm or routine for the month.
About Blissoma: "Rooted in plant science, Blissoma utilizes whole-plant extracts and rejuvenating phytobotanicals to help change the health of the skin. Blissoma products are designed to restore skin to balance through the sacred relationship between plants and people."

Blissoma Fresh Mild Rice Facial Cleanser, 4 oz - Retail Value $58

Facial cleanser is my ultimate favorite type of skincare to receive in a subscription, because, even as I move through phases of reaching for various depths of serums and oils and creams depending on the season, I always use a mild cleanser. This non-soap cleanser is gentle and rejuvenating, containing brown rice flour and willowbark extract for a light exfoliation alongside a load of organic oils to nourish and restore.
The texture is light and thin, the scent is pleasant—I have been using it daily and my face has been feeling perfectly fresh.
Blissoma Peace Evening Calming Elixir, 1.3 oz - Retail Value $50

Every time I own up to this, I offend someone out there, but here it is: I wash my face every morning, but not every evening. Really only if I had been sweating or in direct sunlight (not my norm—we get an average of 300+ cloudy days where I live) or somehow got straight-up dirty. I'm realizing I'm making myself out to live under a rock, ha! All this to say, an evening exilir is not going to get as much use as a morning serum for me.
That said, how appealing does this one sound? This description alone may have the power to change my habits.
A soothing synergy to prepare skin for optimal rejuvenation. The honeyed, herbal aroma of Peace signals the end of the day, but while you rest your skin is hard at work. This symphony of seaweeds, herbs, and shea butter supplies essential nutrients to condition and calm irritations to bring skin back to balance.
The instructions are to cleanse your face, apply toner, and then dispense a few pumps of this product to gently rub in. Though it's readily absorbed, it's a hydration bomb, so it's suggested that you can use it as a day moisturizer if you have a drier skin type. I think in the winter months this might be my jam!
Blissoma Lavish Loving Recovery Mask, 1 oz - Retail Value $69

To further hydrate our visages as we move toward cooler weather and blasting heaters, we were sent this mask. It's thick and rich, and meant to be used weekly to penetrate your skin with hydration. About once per week, you can apply it after cleansing and wait 15-20 minutes, then wash off and moisturize.
Oh just look at that creamy goodness. My skincare routine is a bit amorphous, so I can't see myself using this mask weekly, but I'm delighted to have it on hand for the times when my skin needs a little extra care.
Verdict
This trio of Blissoma products is a beautiful intro to this brand, and if you found yourself loving what October brought, there is so much more Blissoma to explore in the Beauty Heroes shop. Given that my skincare routine is morning-heavy, I didn't find myself engaging with these products as much as I might with lighter serums and creams. That said, the cleanser is perfection to me, and I have been loving starting every day with it.
October's spread contains a total value of $177 in this $58.95 box. Epic deal, and the quality of these full-size products are so obvious. They're all packed with whole-plant extracts and rejuvenating phytobotanicals, which this brand does so well, treating our skin to the best of plant science daily.
