First Impressions is a series that introduces and reviews new brands to My Subscription Addiction, drawing from readers' requests for an insider's first look. Rumbly is a monthly pregnancy subscription box that delivers 5-7 thoughtfully curated items that are perfectly timed to where you are in your pregnancy journey. Half of the items in each box are for the woman you are, whereas the other half are for the mom you’re becoming. While other pregnancy subscription boxes are primarily focused on your baby, Rumbly is specifically designed for you. You can expect to receive a mix of products ranging from beauty to jewelry and mementos; to games, novelty items, books, clothes, and stuff for your home.

This review is of Rumbly's Pregnancy Subscription Box for 7 months.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes).

First Impressions

I was so excited to hear from MSA that there was a new pregnancy subscription box on the market and jumped at the chance to try out Rumbly. I'm constantly on the hunt for different pregnancy and motherhood subscription boxes so this was a must-have for me. I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant so I was sent their 7-month box. Here's an up-close look at everything I got!

TL;DR: What Did I Think of Rumbly?

  • Overall, Rumbly was a lot of fun to try out and I received a great mix of products
  • My favorite items were the Weekly Countdown Calendar, Felt Board, and Tumbler
  • My least favorite items were the Hearts Bangle and Pregnancy Organizer (read on to learn why!)
  • If given the opportunity, I would definitely try out Rumbly again for the last few months of my current pregnancy

What's Inside This Box

Rumbly Weekly Countdown Calendar

While this product wasn't fancy, I still loved the concept and it made a perfect addition to our home office. I'll admit that since this is my second pregnancy I've barely kept up with how far along I am this time around (especially since I'm trying to keep up with a toddler who's now learning how to test her limits). I think this calendar is a fun way to keep track of the rest of my pregnancy and use it as a rough countdown for when I'll meet my little boy. And, I can use it for all of my future pregnancies too which is a bonus. The only super small criticism I have for this product is that I'll have to make my own cards after the 40th week (so not too many lol) since I tend to have longer gestations.

Rumbly Felt Board

I thought this was another cute addition to this month's box. When I first opened this product I didn't have my knife or scissors nearby to help cut off the tabs (they don't pull off as easily as you might think) so I don't have a picture of my own custom message board. However, you can see what it looks like here with the letters and characters on it. I definitely plan to use this as another weekly tracker to keep in our kitchen or another room in the house. And I might even let my toddler play with it a bit to start learning her letters.

Rumbly Studded Tumbler

I can never get enough tumblers and I'll definitely use this on a regular basis. I loved the grip of this tumbler and thought it held a decent amount of water in it for sipping on throughout the day (i.e. perfect for car rides, having in the office, taking to the pool, etc.). Like the prior two products, I'll be able to get high mileage for usage with this tumbler. Plus, it seems like you have to have additional reminders throughout the day during subsequent pregnancies to stay hydrated so this tumbler will be an essential item for me. This will also be perfect to use during my homebirth and postpartum.

Rumbly Pregnancy Organizer

Let me start off by saying that this organizer would probably be extremely helpful for the overwhelming majority of pregnant women to keep up with labwork, ultrasounds, and the like. However, I typically only work with traditional birth workers and opt out of ultrasounds and most forms of testing. But, I could use this organizer for keeping track of proof of pregnancy forms and homebirth paperwork as I have to go a different route for reporting my births to the state of Florida (i.e. homebirth packet, acknowledgment of pregnancy from 2 individuals outside of the home, and proof of pregnancy from another provider/agency or boss). So, it's not that I can't get use out of this item, but it's not as essential for my pregnancy as it would be for other women. However, I want to give them a huge shoutout for labeling the front as 40(ish) because a lot of women get fixated on set numbers and averages which can make the whole process of pregnancy more stressful than it should be.

Double Hearts Bangle

Sure, the bangle was cute, but I believe Rumbly should have replaced it with another product that's more useful for pregnancy, birth, or postpartum. I probably won't use this bangle at all, especially since it doesn't come off easily and fits too tightly. I thought this product was really the only 100% miss vs. hit in this box. Besides, a lot of pregnant women struggle with swelling towards the end so this would not work for a lot of women in the last few weeks/months.

Simply Mints

I actually thought this was a great product to throw in with the rest of this box's items. I usually avoid gum during pregnancy due to artificial sweeteners, so these mints are the perfect swap, especially since they can help fight off occasional nausea.

The Coco Bee Lip Balm

I love receiving clean beauty products like this lip balm in subscription boxes, especially those designed for pregnancy. I thought this product was a nice touch and I appreciate how clean the ingredients are.

The Verdict

I thought Rumbly was great overall and only had 1 miss out of the 7 products I received. Several of the box's items can be used beyond my current pregnancy and serve as awesome additions to our home. I like that Rumbly includes a mix of product types but I do think they should stick to pregnancy-specific items and not products you'll find in other subscription boxes for women (i.e. jewelry). I'd love to try Rumbly out again for the next few months and hope that they'll throw in other products like nursing tanks/bras, more organic body and beauty products, or even snacks.

Value Breakdown:This month's box has a retail value of $96 (based on their gift box price) and usually costs $74.
