Be filled with love, joy, & comfort food. Vellabox
With our first snowfall in the books, we are officially tucked in for the winter and enjoying all of the cozy feels. After packing the Halloween decorations away, I am trying to find the time to put out my Christmas decorations early for a mood boost, and this month's Vellabox, while not holiday specific, did encompass the scent of balsam fir so perfectly that it has me reeling for the sight of a softly lit tree. Are these candles a bit more pricey than the big-box store brands? Yes. But I can tell you from years of experience that these 16 ounce candles outlast any big-box brand I have tried, and our furnace filter is cleaner than ever. Not only are the scents incredible, but they also include a surprise gift and Spotify playlist, creating not just a box, but an entire experience.

Simplistic, chic, and ultra-divine are three words I would use to describe this month's Vellabox candle. With the warm, caramel-colored glass and professional, clean label, I am loving the entire design. Hand poured using 100% soy wax, Vanilla & Spruce, LLC utilizes premium fragrance oils that are phthalate-free. This month's "Cardigan + Pine" version features notes of citrus rose, balsam fir, cozy bungalow, black tea, cool woods, and pine branches in the wind. Very specific, I have to say! This scent really does encompass those feels and preconceived scents. With a decent scent throw, this woodsy flavor creates an ambiance by filling my entire living room. Perfect for getting one in the holiday spirit, this candle is magnificent!
Like I mentioned above, Vanilla & Spruce create small-batch candles in the neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. Using soy wax, phthalate-free fragrance oils, and cotton wicks, I feel good about burning this type of candle in my home. With a fragrance like this one, you can bet I will be checking out their other products!
Now for the secret item!
Herb Stripper - Retail Value $12
I cook a lot, but don't use fresh herbs nearly as often as I'd like. While I did successfully transplant a sage plant from my garden to an inside container, that guy won't be needing any stripping anytime soon. With multiple sized holes for stripping sprigs of herbs from their stem, this wooden tool is small and pretty, while also functional. While I have nothing to test it on yet, I am looking forward to giving it a try on some rosemary for our Thanksgiving "fancy drinks." Will keep you posted with how it performs!

Vellabox is one of my favorite subscriptions, and again, this month has left me smiling. With a beautifully woodsy-smelling candle, and a fun new kitchen tool, Vellabox has helped me coast right into the winter season with little complaining! Between the candle, free gift, and Spotify playlist, I am left impressed. Finally, because I utilize aromatherapy for anxiety management, this truly is a life changer for me. I already can't wait to see what's in store for December!
