Goddess Provisions does a beautiful job with packaging. Every item is always securely packaged and ready to gift (if you can bear to share!).
Typically, each month we receive an itemized info sheet that includes a little blurb about each item in the box as well as its retail value, but my "Winter Ritual Box" is just one variation of what's being sent out this month. Click here to see all of the fabulous finds you could find in your December box. Since I have been receiving Goddess Provisions for a stretch, I've had the pleasure of reviewing most of the items listed. I am going to approach this review by listing my first impressions, followed by a commentary on how the items have held up over time and how I feel about them today.
What's Inside This Box
Divine Guidance Planchette Ornament - Retail Value $14
First Impression: Of course as soon as I see a planchette, the first thing I think of is the good old Ouija board. This little plush ornament has beautiful embellishments embroidered on one side. This beaut shouldn't be confined to the Christmas tree; I plan on hanging mine inside of my car. Goddess Provisions recommends hanging this on a tree or on a doorknob as a reminder that answers are always within reach.
Today: I received this plush planchette two Christmases in a row, and I am happy to have two matching ornaments now. It is eye-catching on the tree with the metallic embroidery, and I hung each ornament low on the tree; since my daughter seemingly has 8 arms and 8 legs, it is a nice low-hanging fruit she can grab off the tree and remain safe from a delicate glass ball and hook.
Divine Serpent Selenite Palm Stone - Retail Value $25
First Impression: I don't have any crystals this size, so I was delighted by this palm stone. This can be utilized to cleanse other crystals and it can also help to promote mindfulness and increase relaxation. The white serpent symbol is etched into one size of this stone, and it is really pretty to look at, especially in direct sunlight.
Today: This is still a focal point of my altar today. I love how the light just bounces off this crystal. It also has a great weight to it. Now that I have another, I may take this to the office and use it as a paperweight.
Magiktea Palo Azul Fluorescent Alkaline Tea - Retail Value $9.99
What is there to not love about a mystical blue tea? The color-changing properties add to the experience of brewing a tasty tea. Not only is it delicious, it is very pretty to look at. The blue hue is caused by polyphenols which have many health benefits. I added a tiny bit of honey to enhance the earthy flavor; it was even good at room temperature.
Planets Aligned Loose Incense Holder - Retail Value $25
First Impression: I have needed an incense holder for some time now. I've actually been using a random cap in my bathroom to place my incense matches, so this is definitely a glow-up. The wooden, celestial designs give this a bit of a rustic look, and the little pan in the middle is metal so you can safely burn loose or cone incense. This item is a little bigger than my palm, and it fits perfectly on my windowsill.
Today: I wish I had more of the loose incense GP initially sent out to compliment this vessel. I still use this to hold my incense matches, because it really is perfect for that use.
Kindred Row Evil Eye Signet Ring - Retail Value $33
First Impression: I've seen a few similar rings, but I don't think I've seen any this brilliant. The gold just gleams, and the eye imprint really pops. This ring is adjustable, but I believe the size it came in was around a 7.5 or 8 which fits my middle finger perfectly. I played with the ring a little, and it seemed really hard to resize this ring; I think that is a great thing because I've been pinched by cheaper adjustable rings many times. This one doesn't seem like it would do that, and I think the quality is really great, especially for its $33 value. Excellent find!
Today: I love busting this ring out when I am feeling fancy. I would be happy to have two of them, but I don't think I need two. I may be gifting this to one of my sisters for Christmas.
Jasmine & Cedarwood Incense - Retail Value $14
First Impression: I've always loved cedarwood incense; the clean smell of jasmine is such a refreshing twist to a classic. These mini sticks (5.5 inches) burn in a shorter amount of time than normal-sized incense, and they put out the perfect amount of fragrance for a small space.
Today: I love these! Since they are smaller, the fragrance never gets overwhelming. It burns out, and you're left with a nice even fragrance permeating the air.
Rose Jasper - Retail Value $5
When I was unboxing, I literally said "awww" when I unwrapped this crystal, even before I knew it was a crystal to enhance self-love. It is "gentle on the heart," promoting nurturing and loving thoughts about yours truly.
The Verdict
This month's Goddess Provisions "Winter Ritual Box" was full of throwbacks. I was happy to revisit some of the items I previously had received. The tea and crystal were new to me, and I really loved both of these new finds. This month's box has a value of $125.99, a terrific value for a $33 box.
