Every detail of this subscription is eco-conscious, from its 100% recyclable and biodegradable box to the eco-friendly, soy-based ink used on the packaging.

For $27 per month, you'll receive 100% vegan and cruelty-free products, which include skincare, haircare, makeup, and other accessories.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes).

First Impressions

This month's box is "The Calm Box," and it is full of clean beauty products to help you slow down and ease into this holiday season.

Kinder Beauty has embraced a "choose your own adventure" approach to their subscription; they offer 3 base or "foundation" products, and you can choose one product from each of two categories. Kinder was kind enough to send us each product in both categories so you can get a better look at this month's choices.

The Choices

The first category included a choice of three makeup products and tools. Choose between Wander Beauty Double Date Eyeshadow Duo in Smitten/Swoon  ($26 value), Athr Beauty The Big Bang Mascara ($28 value), or Alamar Cosmetics Brush Set ($18 value).

In the second choice category, you get to choose one of two products, including Province Apothecary Moisturizing Oil Cleanser + Makeup Remover ($22 value) or Kinder Beauty's Embroidered Headband ($18 value).

My Choices

Wander Beauty Double Date Eyeshadow Duo in Smitten/Swoon - Retail Value - $26

Wander Beauty is such a great brand. I've tried a few things from them from subscription boxes, and I've never been let down. Eyeshadow singles and duos can be so hit or miss; I have so many palettes that have a variety of finishes and colors that excite me, so if I am reaching for a single or duo, it has to be eye-catching and special.

I am so happy to report that this duo checks all the boxes. If you're looking for a metallic twosome that can create a dimensional look and can go from day to night, look no further. Plus, the packaging is so pretty on this one. Swipe on the cream base, then pat the powder shadow on top, and boom! You have a 30-second eye look that will look phenomenal for any upcoming holiday gatherings.

Kinder Beauty's Embroidered Headband - Retail Value - $18

I've said it once, and I will say it again: if you do not have one of these soft, plush headbands, take a leap of faith. I won't use any other because now they're all inferior. It is just so comfortable, and for those days when I am feeling lazy around the house, my hair goes up on top of my head in a knot, and I slap one of these on and it doesn't budge, yet, it is gentle enough to not dig into my head or abuse my ears. A+ design!

Foundation Products

Each month, Kinder Beauty sends out three base products. This month stacked up relentless clean skincare to help you wind down.

Symbiosis London Damascan Rose + Hibiscus Nutrient-Rich Bamboo Mask - Retail Value - $25

This Damascan Rose and hyaluronic acid mask was just what I needed to give my skin a little pick me up. I was happy it didn't strictly smell like roses; it had a pleasant floral smell that lingered on my skin even after my nightly skincare routine, which I couldn't be mad at. I left this sit on my skin for 15 minutes until I felt like my face soaked up all the mask had to offer. I patted my face with the excess serum and when I woke up the next day, my skin felt refreshed and felt more supple.

Pure'Am pH Balance Calming Toner - Retail Value - $19

Toner is something I left in the early 2000's, but somehow I found my way back to it within the last few years, and boy, things have changed for the better! No more astringents or oil-sucking alcohols on this face. Pure'Am's formula offers pH balance to your skincare routine, setting your skin up for success for the rest of your skincare products to do their best work. Triple hyaluronic acid, vegan ceramide™, and organic cica give your skin a soothing, softening effect, and I love that there is no fragrance added.

EVIO Hydrogel Eye Therapy 6 Box Set  - $18

I reviewed this product for KND by Kinder Beauty's Holiday Edition. Here is my first impression:

Recently, eye masks have been a savior to my under-eye. Hyaluronic acid works its magic in these eye masks causing the under-eye to appear hydrated, youthful, and glowy. I keep a pair of these in the fridge at all times, and when I am ready for them, they are nice and cold and feel so refreshing. After wearing them for about 15 minutes, I will take them off and pat the excess serum on my skin.

I quickly finished my first box of these, and now that I have another, I will probably fly through these as well. My under-eyes have been thanking me ever since I found them, and I have to keep chasing that.

The Verdict

This month's Kinder Beauty Box has ended the year with a bang! It has been another year of fabulously clean beauty and getting introduced to wonderful products that not only look good but they're also good for your skin/body and are gentler on the environment. I have been a proud subscriber since the very beginning, and I have never had one complaint about any of the products I've received or the service. Every month I look forward to unboxing, but this month, it seemed like Kinder was reading my mind. My complexion has needed some TLC, so Symbiosis' mask came in handy, while I also was missing my under-eye masks from Evio Skin that I had just run out of (and I am now completely hooked on them!). I also love the Wander Beauty Duo, and I am thrilled to have another headband to add to my collection. It has been another great box, and I am looking forward to many more in 2024!

The element of surprise and experimentation that subscription boxes offer is still there with the three base products everyone receives, but choosing two things has made this subscription even dearer to me. This month’s box variation, including the two products I selected, has a retail value of $106, which is a fantastic value for its cost of $27.

MSA **really** should acknowledge that this subscription box no longer exists. Without a word from the box owners to boot. I received an email seemingly out of nowhere from FARSEDAKIS that “welcomed” me and/or Kinder to it’s stable of brands. I received no additional information about the change, just the email from some unknown corporation.

MSA has conveniently edited their referral links to point toward the Kinder Beauty Bundles being sold on that site without stating it’s no longer a subscription company, just products that appeared in the box being sold by the business that took over.

It would be really awesome if someone at MSA could look into this for us. I’ve tried multiple ways of contacting Kinder with zero response.

I’ve tried to respond to you for two days now, but it won’t go through. You can look for Kinder Beauty and their page will come out. Also look at the Kinder Beauty Box instagram for their page.

Did you have a sub? Their insta hasn’t been updated since the beginning of December but their link goes to their main company’s page. Have you contacted them there at Farsedakis? I don’t know if they will do anything to help since they seem to be ending subs. If they’re selling products individually then they should be able to honor their subs, this is so shady. I would do a charge back with my bank.

Thank you, Mandi! Yes, I had a sub. Yes, I contacted Farsedakis. They said that they can’t do anything about my subscription, but they offered me a coupon if I buy more merchandise. Kind of nice, but also kind of not – buy more to save a little. I’ll have to double check if I have to spend a certain amount to be able to use the coupon or not. I didn’t even think of doing a charge back, but I don’t know if it would work since Kinder was liquidated. Thanks again!

I also had prepaid until May. Does anyone know how I could get my money back.

Did this box go out of business? Everything in the Marketplace says sold out and the box subscription link seems to be broken.

Kinder is selling bundles of products right now, no subscription needed. I feel so bad for all the customers who stuck with them and didn’t get their money back. This is so sad.

Melissa-I replied to your original comment last night but I guess the post wasn’t accepted. On the Kinder instagram there is a link to their brand owner Farsedakis, who also own Blinc cosmetics, and you may be able to message them there. They are selling bundles of products starting at $60 on the Kinder Beauty section of the Farsedakis site. I don’t know what’s going on with the beauty box but they aren’t doing subs now.

Melissa

Selling where? I can’t find the website.

Carey

yep, they are officailly closed now. Just saw an article in business section, they could not get the funding they needed.

Business section where? I had a prepaid subscription. There has been no communication from them re: going out of business, refunds, etc.
