Vellabox is a monthly candle subscription box that delivers top quality, natural candles from artisan makers across the USA. Every month they send you a different candle curated to their scent preferences and the season. Every candle featured in the box is made with 100% natural wax, clean fragrance, and cotton-braided wicks - guaranteed non-toxic, cruelty-free, and vegan.
In addition, you'll receive a surprise "lifestyle" item chosen along the same health-forward lines, from businesses with a focus on natural products and social good. They offer three box sizes that range in price, depending on subscription duration: the Lucerna (starting at $12/month), the Ignis (starting at $22/month), and the Vivere (starting at $29/month).

First Impressions
On Cloud Nine: Vellabox
While I was listening to the radio the other day, the announcer mentioned that most people consider January as the "Monday" of the months. With "Monday" out of the way, and February here, I am ready for warmer temps and longer days! This month's Vellabox definitely didn't give off "Monday" vibes, and instead encompassed delicious Saturday mornings, with its foodie-scented inclusion and shabby chic quote and lifestyle item. Not only are the scents incredible, but they also include a surprise gift and Spotify playlist, creating not just a box, but an entire experience.
What's Inside the Box
Moco Fragrances "Croissant" - Retail Value $34.00
My favorite candle flavors tend to have earthy notes of lavender, cedar, vanilla, and pine - but baked goods definitely fit up there too. This month was the first month I have received a foody type candle with this subscription, and I have to say, I am in love. With notes of honey, toasted almonds, vanilla, bourbon, and butter, this literally smells like a fresh out-of-the-oven pastry. When lit, the almond fragrance is quite pronounced, but not overly so. My husband is a little sensitive to overpowering candles, but really enjoyed the mild scent throw this gave off. With a fun, playful font, the label suits the candle name, and the overall simplicity works with all decor. Overall, I found this candle to be a perfect fit for the February box, and have added a few other items to my cart from the Moco Fragrance website.
Moco Fragrances is a company based out of Indianapolis, Indiana that started in founder Morgan Conner's apartment kitchen. Creating all scents in-house, this company embraces their unconventional approach, and seamlessly blend design, fragrance, and sustainability.
Now for the secret item!
Gold Candle Coasters - Set of 2 - Retail Value $15
While our family doesn't use coasters very often for drinks, I do like to use them for underneath my candles. These beautiful gold brushed coasters have a nice weight to them, with a grippy bottom. Amping up the simplistic design of this months' candle, this coaster does a great job at protecting surfaces, all while looking snappy. A great inclusion, I love this month's box!
Was This Box Worth It?
The Cost: $29
Vellabox is one of my all time favorite subscriptions, and this month was great. With a deliciously relaxing croissant scented candle and two beautiful candle coasters, the curation this month was spot on. With the combination of candle, surprise item, and Spotify playlist, this subscription continues to leave me impressed. I already can't wait to see what's in store for March!
