Bespoke Post is a monthly membership club that delivers high-quality lifestyle products from up-and-coming brands. It’s voted as one of the best men’s subscription boxes of 2023 by our readers and it’s a great box for women and couples as well.
When you sign up, there’s a quiz to determine your preferences and interests, and then you’re matched with a differently themed box every month. For $49 per month, each box promises at least $70 in retail value with items ranging from outdoor gear, barware, home, kitchen goods, clothing, and more. If you're not into the boxes selected for you, there are many others to choose from. Unlike most subscription boxes, you get to preview your Bespoke Post box before it ships, and you can easily swap for a different box or skip the month for no charge. You only pay for the months that interest you.
This review, however, is of one of Bespoke Post's new premium Selects boxes, which cost members $98, but offers high-end items valued at $140 or more. There are currently only a few Selects boxes offered, which can be found in the "boxes" category or filtering all the boxes from high to low price. There is not much literature on the premium boxes at the moment, but they seemed poised to bring big time offers to members.
This is a review of the "Cutlery" box.

First Impressions
Bespoke Post almost always has a good presentation. They have a different, perfect-sized box – or bag – for everything.
Inside the Bespoke Post Selects "Cutlery" Box
Black Forge Knives Chef Set - Retail Price $137
This chef knives set includes a 13 inch (8-1/2 inch blade) and 9-1/4 inch knife (5-1/4 inch blade). I don't know which catches the eye first: the mesmerizing pattern of the real Damascus steel blade or the dyed colored bone handles. Even the copper bolster is beautiful. When available, Bespoke Post offers the set in blue or green handles. Each knife comes in a matching genuine leather sheath, which have a belt loop (I think). They are cool to have if I every need to transport the knives, but I keep mine on a magnetic strip above the sink. So the sheathes will be stored away.
This set also includes a matching steel sharpening rod, which is strangely not to be found on the maker's website. The only difference is the handle, which is wood instead of bone. I had never used a sharpening rod before, but since getting this one I use it every time I reach for anything except a butter knife. It makes a notice difference in the knife's performance and I dig how it matches the set.
Verdict
If you've read many of my Bespoke Post reviews (here, here, and here), you know I'm a sucker for kitchen knives. So it's no surprise the "Cutlery" box from Bespoke Post's Selects had me saying, "Yes, Chef." Even with the added cost, I was not underwhelmed. The blades are as sharp as they are robust as they are beautiful. They are my go-to knives, even if I'm just halving a peanut butter sandwich for the kiddos. I've already gotten a few compliments from people who just see them on the wall and notice how nice they are.
Let's Talk About Value
This box clocks in at $137, but that does not include the honing bar. I'm not sure what that costs from this maker. Regardless, the Selects boxes run $98 for members. So even without the bar, that is a value of $39, which is substantial. With that kind of savings, I can buy a few nice cuts of meat for a fancy dinner.
To Wrap Up
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, the "Cutlery" is currently sold out. If you ever do miss out on something though, be sure to check back, because boxes usually return or there are similar items.
