First Impressions
This month’s theme, ‘‘Month of Love Essentials,’’ charmingly extends the spirit of Valentine’s Day into March (due to its delayed arrival), and that’s fine with me. The first thing I noticed was the box’s fresh take on packaging, forgoing both its signature reusable canvas tote and newly included mesh gift bag for a lovely rose-patterned box. Visually appealing, the design blends nicely with the month’s romantic motif. I can’t wait to see what’s been included this time around.
The contents of the box arrived protected by foam packing.
The back of the Cocotique info card describes all the products included in this month’s box. It also provides information on where to purchase the products online and exclusive discount codes where available.

ASHANTI NATURALS Creamy Yellow Shea Butter, 85 g - Retail Value $3.99
Shea butter is the holy grail for those seeking ultra-moisturized skin. This Creamy Yellow Shea Butter from Ashanti Naturals is an inclusion I’m thrilled to have. Its pure, 100% raw, unrefined shea butter, sourced directly from Ghana, Africa, is a rarity in a world filled with diluted, chemical-filled products, offering an authentic, potent moisturization experience. What I love about this product is the thoughtful, travel-friendly size of the container, perfectly designed for on-the-go hydration. Whether traveling or just taking on the day, this shea butter should always come with. The formula does an excellent job of lessening skin inflammation and irritation. Despite my incredibly sensitive skin which is usually averse to thick, rich textures like this shea butter, it provides soothing relief without any clogging of pores. It’s quite literally a dream, absorbing beautifully and leaving behind luxuriously hydrated skin. Plus, it works wonders for my thick, curly 3C hair, taming flyaways and baby hairs with ease.
MADE UP GOSSIP Clay Mask For Dry Skin, 28 g - Retail Value $28.00
I’m not usually the biggest fan of DIY masks, but I have to say, this Made Up Gossip Clay Mask For Dry Skin was quite the pleasant surprise. This innovative powder transforms into a creamy paste with just a few drops of water. Just pour a quarter-sized amount of powder into your hand, add the water, and you have a clay mask. This user-friendly approach allows for a mess-free, simple preparation that ensures the right consistency each time without any measuring, which is a huge plus. The mask sets in only 10 minutes and easily washes off. I was initially concerned that the product would be too drying for my sensitive skin, but thanks to the inclusion of 10% niacinamide, it leaves my skin feeling deeply cleansed yet surprisingly hydrated. A hydrating clay mask isn’t something I’ve often seen, so between that and the unique packaging, which ensures ease of use, I’m thoroughly impressed.
MOB BEAUTY The Highlighter in M52, 3.5 g - Retail Value $26.00
I can always go for a little bit of shimmer, and this product, The Highlighter in M52 from Mob Beauty, has quickly become a must-have. The creamy consistency is nothing short of luxury, allowing for an effortless application that ensures a flawless finish. I appreciate the versatility in this product; whether going for a natural-looking glow or a full-on glam sheen, this highlighter’s got you covered. What I love most about this product is the unique formula, enriched with natural antioxidants like vitamins C and E alongside a soothing chamomile extract. This highlighter not only enhances one’s natural beauty but it also cares for the skin, providing a protective, calming benefit, so it’s essentially a two-in-one. Plus, the shade works well with my skin tone. Definitely one of my new go-tos for a touch of radiance anytime, anywhere.

PEAR NOVA Classic Lacquer in Dianna Boss, 10 ml - Retail Value $13.50
As a teen, I never saw the importance of nude shades like this Classic Lacquer in Dianna Boss from Pear Nova, but after hitting my 30s, my view has transformed. This particular shade strikes the perfect balance between understated elegance and modern sophistication. An unexpected new favorite, this polish offers a versatile look that complements any outfit, making it especially fitting for professional settings. The quality of the polish is exceptional. Its formula achieves full coverage with just one coat and is neither too thick nor too runny. I appreciate a polish that saves time without compromising a flawless finish, and this one does it all. Another standout feature of this product is the long-term durability. Once it sets, this polish maintains its pristine look without any sign of chipping until actively removed, so it’s a win for someone like me who prefers a low-maintenance yet high-impact experience. Plus, the 10-free formula of this polish, keeping it free from major toxins, is a huge bonus for me as well.
PH-D Rose Vanilla Feminine Boric Acid Spray, 89 ml - Retail Value $7.99
While I’ve had products from PH-D in the past and never been disappointed, this Rose Vanilla Feminine Boric Acid Spray is an innovative concept for me. Personally, I often stray from using scented products in general, but especially when it comes to intimate care. The idea of maintaining freshness, especially post-workout, is an appealing one, but a spray feels more like a cover-up as opposed to providing actual cleanliness like a wipe does. That being said, this product can definitely come in handy, so I’ll keep this in my gym bag for when a quick refresh is needed, but I don’t see myself using it on an everyday basis. Overall, while this spray might not become a staple for me, this could be a game-changer for others, depending on personal preferences and specific needs.
Verdict
This was a good month for Cocotique! The highlight for me was absolutely the travel-sized shea butter from Ashanti Naturals. Not only do I appreciate the raw, unrefined nature of this product, but it’s incredibly kind to my sensitive skin despite its thicker texture. The clay mask from Made Up Gossip has quickly become a new favorite, and it’s made me appreciate clay masks in a way I hadn’t before. Pear Nova’s classic nude lacquer in Dianna Boss is a lovely addition to my makeup arsenal and has already come in handy for various professional settings, bringing a gentle sophistication to any look. The luxurious consistency of Mob Beauty’s highlighter in M52 is another win, enabling an easy build from a natural-looking glow to a full-on glam sheen that commands attention. Lastly, the feminine spray from PH-D… While I’ve had nothing but great experiences with this brand, when it comes to intimate care, scented sprays aren’t usually my jam, but I’ll admit a product like this can be useful in a pinch, so in my gym bag it goes. Overall, I thought this was a solid month, featuring a variety of products from skincare to personal care to makeup, along with a revamped presentation, and a great value.
