First Impressions
This month’s theme is the “Ultimate Glow-Up.” One of the subscription’s classic tote bags was included this time around. The phrase printed on the front is a favorite of mine: “Know Your Worth and Double It.”

AVON Beyond Glow Vitamin C 6% + Ferulic Acid Serum, 30 ml - Retail Value $38.00
I was pleasantly surprised to find Avon making a comeback in subscription boxes with their Beyond Glow Vitamin C 6% + Ferulic Acid Serum. This serum is quite intriguing, with a lightweight texture that makes it easy to apply. It delivers a potent dose of Vitamin C, aimed at evening out skin tone over time. When I first used it, the serum absorbed quickly and left my skin with a slight, healthy glow. Although my skin is somewhat sensitive to Vitamin C, I was happy to see that this serum didn't cause any redness, irritation, or breakouts. While I won't be using it every day, it’s a solid choice for anyone looking to brighten their complexion and achieve that glowing skin.
BELIF Aqua Bomb Sunscreen SPF 45, 50 ml - Retail Value $38.00
I'm absolutely thrilled about the Belif Aqua Bomb Sunscreen SPF 45. Having been a fan of Belif ever since I first tried their Aqua Bomb eye cream, I was excited to see this sunscreen in my subscription box. The luxurious gel texture is just as delightful in this product, making it a joy to apply. As someone who wears sunscreen daily, finding a formula that doesn't leave a white cast is crucial, and this one did not disappoint. It absorbed quickly into my skin, leaving no greasy residue, and the gel-like texture felt light and refreshing. Plus, there's no noticeable scent to the product, which is perfect for my sensitive nose and skin. This sunscreen has definitely earned a permanent spot in my skincare routine!
ESHA Body and Hair Perfume Mist in Gin Fizz, 30 ml - Retail Value $8.99
Perfume isn't usually my thing, but the scent of ‘Gin Fizz’ in the Esha Body and Hair Perfume Mist is undeniably nice. While I typically prefer fruity scents over floral ones, I can appreciate the quality of this fragrance. The packaging is stunning and really draws the eye with its sleek, minimalistic design. Although my favorite fragrances lean more towards clean laundry, leather, and tires, I can see how this floral scent would appeal to many. The mist applicator is also a plus, making application easy and elegant. So, while this particular scent isn't for me, I know plenty of people who will love it. If you're a fan of floral perfumes, this is definitely worth trying.
NUTREE Afro Bondox, 15 g - Retail Value $11.99
The sample of Nutree’s Afro Bondox hair mask in this month’s box was a pleasant surprise. As with many subscription samples, the amount of product wasn't enough for my entire head of thick curls, but I managed to test it on about a third of my hair. Even with limited use, I was impressed by the results. My hair felt incredibly soft and luscious after just one application. This mask is designed for all hair types but works wonders for types 4A, 4B, and 4C. With my 3C hair, it truly delivered, leaving my curls feeling nourished and well-defined. I can only imagine the results with regular use on my whole head!
NUTREE Brazilian Bondox Tube, 30 g - Retail Value $13.99
Another delightful addition from Nutree this month is the Brazilian Bondox Tube. Similar to the previous Afro Bondox mask, this one comes in a convenient travel-sized tube, perfect for my summertime travels. I appreciate the flexibility it offers; if used sparingly, I can get up to two uses from it, though my thick curls might demand a more generous application for just one use. This mask has become an excellent addition to my haircare routine, packed with various oils that hydrate and leave my hair feeling healthy, weightless, and incredibly soft. It also gives my curls an extra bounce and definition while keeping them frizz-free. Nutree continues to impress with their effective and travel-friendly haircare solutions.
RESHMA BEAUTY Honey and Lemon Face Wash, 150 ml - Retail Value $9.99
I absolutely love Reshma Beauty, and their Honey and Lemon Face Wash is yet another reason why they’ve become a favorite in my skincare routine. Their products never disappoint, and the generously-sized tubes are a great value. This cleanser has a delightful, subtle scent that’s not overpowering, which I really appreciate. From the first use, it rinsed off beautifully without leaving any residue, giving me that squeaky-clean feeling without stripping my skin. Despite being a purifying cleanser, it’s gentle enough for my needs, unlike some harsh alternatives. This face wash strikes the perfect balance, leaving my skin clean, fresh, and perfectly comfortable.
RESHMA BEAUTY Honey Peel-Off Mask, 150 ml - Retail Value $8.99
I was thrilled to find a second product from Reshma Beauty in this month’s box! The Honey Peel-Off Mask delivers exactly what I hoped for. I’m always up for a good peel-off mask, and this one was a pleasure to use. It applied easily with just my hands, and once it dried, I could peel it off in a few pieces without any fuss. After removing the mask, my skin felt incredibly refreshed, soft, and irritation-free. The best part is how easily it peeled off without any tugging or pulling on my skin, leaving my pores clean and my complexion looking great. This mask is a fantastic addition to my skincare routine, and it’s definitely a win for me.
SPRINJENE NATURAL Fluoride Free Toothpaste, 99 g - Retail Value $8.99
No one prepared me for how much I would grow to love the most basic things in life, and toothpaste is one of those staples I’ll always need. I was thrilled to see Sprinjene Natural’s Fluoride Free Toothpaste. This toothpaste effortlessly gets the job done with a natural formula free of artificial colors and flavors, which is a big plus for me. Clean ingredients are crucial, especially for something going inside my body, but efficiency is just as important, and this toothpaste excels in both areas. The first time I used it, the natural mint and clove formula provided a refreshing burst of fresh breath and left my teeth feeling pristine without any harsh aftertaste. Additionally, it’s eco-friendly, vegan, and cruelty-free, which makes it a product I’m happy to use daily.
Verdict
This was an excellent month for Cocotique! The highlight for me was absolutely Belif’s sunscreen, which hydrates my skin while also protecting it, and best of all: no white cast is left behind. Reshma Beauty is a solid brand that never disappoints me, and both their face wash and peel-off mask are stellar additions to my skincare routine. Hair masks and treatments are always something I love seeing in a subscription box, and this month introduced me to Nutree, which may quickly become a new favorite haircare brand of mine. Both their Afro Bondox and Brazilian Bondox hair masks have proven to be effective in treating hair, providing hydration that leaves it feeling luxurious to the touch, frizz-free, and with my curls defined. Sprinjene Natural’s toothpaste is a simple item but once that I will use down to the last drop; it leaves my teeth feeling clean and fresh. The Vitamin C serum from Avon’s Beyond Glow line was actually a pleasant surprise, thanks to its gel texture, and the formula wasn’t too harsh on my sensitive skin. Lastly, the perfume mist from Esha has a nice floral scent, and even though it’s not for me, if you’re a perfume fan, you are sure to enjoy it. Overall, I thought this was an awesome box. The products were nicely varied, from skincare to haircare to personal care, and the value is definitely there.
