First Impressions
How cute is the crystal-covered tape that wraps this sturdy box? Such a lovely presentation!
The crystal was carefully packaged: nestled in packing paper and enclosed in bubble wrap. It’s not surprising then, that it arrived in perfect condition.
Enchanted Crystal includes two inserts in their monthly subscription box. The first uses several QR codes to link to various letters on their blog. One links to a letter to new subscribers, another to their Crystal Library and one to the current month’s newsletter.
In the May blog post, Enchanted Crystal shares that most subscribers received a Rhodonite palm stone as their primary stone this month. I received a different stone, Cerussite, which I’m thrilled about because I received a Rhodonite palm stone in Enchanted Crystal’s Variety Box. (Plus, the Cerussite is just beautiful!) The blog post also explains that, “Palm stones are fantastic "pocket" crystals and one of our most frequently requested styles we share in our boxes. They are large enough to easily keep track of, and perfect for carrying out on a days journey.”
The second insert gives the details of May's star crystal. For me, that’s Cerussite. This second insert is wonderful because it gives the background of these fascinating crystals. If you lose your insert or you’d like to read it online, the same information can be found in their Crystal Library.
The Crystals
Ocean Jasper & Icelandic Spar (Bonus Crystals)
Each month, Enchanted Crystal includes a small collection of bonus crystals and stones. I look at these extras as an appetizer; a little taste to get you hungry for more! The bonus crystals I received in this box were three pieces of ocean jasper and three pieces of Icelandic spar.
The ocean jasper pieces are beautiful in their variety and a new addition to my collection. Unfortunately, Enchanted Crystal’s Crystal Library doesn’t contain a listing for ocean jasper, but I was able to find interesting information about the stone elsewhere.
According to The Crystal Council, “For so long this mineral has gone unfound due to it only being able to be seen at low tide…. Mining operations of ocean jasper was stopped in 2006 when the locality was deemed depleted, as well as heightened safety risks. All ocean jasper on the market today is either a back stock or has been hoarded by collectors and sellers for years. Ocean jasper activates and aligns our solar plexus, heart, and throat chakras. This highly energetic channel allows one the ability to combine their will with their emotions, pushing one to achieve joy, happiness and emotional stability.”
I’ve received Icelandic spar pieces in past boxes, but they look nice mixed around my other stones, so I don’t mind a repeat. According to Enchanted Crystal’s Crystal Library, Icelandic spar, “is associated with clarity and insight, helping to clear mental fog and enhance focus…. Icelandic spar is also considered a spiritual amplifier, enhancing one's connection to higher consciousness and aiding in meditation and spiritual practices.”
A great start. Now, on to the main event!
Cerussite
The main crystal this month is Cerussite. The large piece that I received is incredibly beautiful! I love the sparkle and the variety of shapes of the crystalline structures. According to the Crystal Library, “Cerussite, an eye-catching mineral from Morocco, is renowned for its bright, crystalline structure and often transparent or translucent appearance.”
Enchanted Crystal adds that, “In metaphysical terms, cerussite is believed to be a stone of transformation and personal growth. It’s said to help its users navigate change with ease and adaptability, encouraging flexibility in both thought and action. Cerussite is also associated with enhancing communication skills, making it a fantastic choice for those seeking to express themselves more clearly and confidently.”
The Verdict
I really enjoyed May’s box! The cerussite is incredibly beautiful and a totally new crystal to add to my collection. The Icelandic spar looks beautiful scattered around my other crystals, and the ocean jasper feels really special. I’ve made jewelry with ocean jasper but now that I’ve read about its background, I’m intrigued by it. It’s no longer mined, so having pieces of it in my collection, even though they’re small, is beautiful because of its rarity.
If you are interested in crystals, the monthly box is a great place to start your collection. As for the value, considering subscribers receive a large, beautiful crystal (as well as several small bonus ones) and the fact that shipping is included in the $16 cost, I feel that the subscription price is a very good deal.
I’m always excited to see what this box will contain and what beauty and knowledge lie within it!
