Inside the June/July 2024 Box
Happy summer and welcome to the June/July Love Goodly box! This month we have a mix of skincare and lifestyle items, all from sustainable brands.
Info about each product is listed inside the folded card. Here you'll also find a little about which charity this month's box supports, plus a 15% a discount code for purchases made from their shop. Typically the month's products are available in the Love Goodly shop shop a little after the box launches, so if you need to re-up on a product you fell in love with, it'll be there waiting for you to buy with your 15% discount.
VIP subscribers will receive an extra product, and a separate card describing it. An additional card was sent this month asking for reviews of the previous box. If you leave a review of the April/May box on their website they'll take 15% off your next Love Goodly delivery.
The beauty goods this month are from Earth Harbor and UpCircle, while the lifestyle items are from LG's parent company, NOVICA. Let's get into it.
Earth Harbor Nebula Adaptogen Clarity Ampoule, 1 fl oz – Retail Value $46
I cannot believe how many products Earth Harbor makes—they pop up in subscription boxes of all categories for me, but I've never once received a repeat item. And they're all so delightful to use. Here we have a bioactive blend of hyper-concentrated sea lavender and ginseng adaptogens that together regulate sebum production, clears congestion, restores vibrancy, and more. It's a natural, ethical, and sustainable way to purify your skin, all the while having a REALLY COOL purple color (it'll look ombre in the bottle, so you'll want to give it a gentle shake to combine it before using) and a very pleasant light, floral scent.
The consistency is thin but penetrating; it takes on a richness of texture as you massage it in.
UpCircle Eye Cream with Hyaluronic Acid + Coffee, 0.35 fl oz – Retail Value $28
Here we have a gentle, brightening eye cream that's infused with hyaluronic acid and coffee to brighten, refresh, and renew the delicate skin under your eyes. It's the perfect travel size and from a UK brand that's organic, vegan, cruelty-free, and ocean-friendly just like Earth Harbor.
I thought this serum might be tinted given the color of its glass bottle and/or the coffee oil in it, but it's simply white. You can, however, smell the coffee oil! It also contains maple bark extract, which is meant to help produce collagen and elastin in the skin, and to me an earthy tone is also detectable.
UpCircle Soothing Eye Roller – Retail Value $12
This tool feels so refreshing to use! It's a small eye roller that can be used alone to boost circulation, or you can pump a little product on there (your new UpCircle Eye Cream would be the perfect thing) and use this eye roller to help your product penetrate deeper into the skin.
I found it took some patience and quite a lot of rolling to get the serum to fully rub in for me, and in the end I got a little impatient and just used my fingers. I generally prefer using my hands for skincare application as it gives me more control, but I've picked up this eye roller a number of times to use sans product, and it's so wonderfully cooling.
NOVICA Tulsi Green Tea Blend, 20 count – Retail Value $14.99
This green tea blend features Tulsi, or Holy Basil, which boasts antiseptic and stress-reducing properties. The 100% pure fair trade tea was grown organically on small-scale gardens in Assam, India and hand plucked. The box contains 20 tea bags. I drink black tea mostly, but I gladly added these packets to my tea organizer and love having it as an option for guests—and I will occasionally enjoy a cup of the spiced, faintly minty flavor myself now and then, too.
NOVICA Reusable Cotton Rounds – Retail Value $11
The final item for regular subscribers is this set of 8 cotton rounds that come in a mesh washing bag. They're bigger than most reusable rounds I've seen, and oh-so-very soft. The bag makes all the difference!
UpCircle Hand Cream with Hibiscus Flowers, 2.6 fl oz – Retail Value $30
VIP subscribers are sent one more UpCircle product this month: this rich hand cream that's filled with shea butter and hibiscus. It's so, so thick and hydrating, and the scent smells like you just walked into the soap section of a health food co-op (which is the HIGHEST praise). I think it's the mix of lavender, lemongrass, and patchouli in there with the hibiscus. Simply uplifting.
The cream comes in a metal tube and there's a note on the info card that in an effort toward plastic-free products, this hand cream is factory-sealed with a lid but no peelable seal beneath it. So they acknowledge that some slight leakage may occur, but mine was perfectly intact.
Verdict
I am so, so glad to be introduced to the brand UpCircle. I love the nourishment they provide in their products, the quality of the packaging (which is also almost completely recyclable), and the commitment to sustainability. The Earth Harbor serum is a welcome addition to my bathroom counter, as Earth Harbor goods always are. And the lifestyle items from NOVICA are a nice taste of Love Goodly's parent company and what they have going on.

The total retail value inside the VIP box is $141.99. Non-VIP subscribers are promised a value of $70+, and I added everything from the regular subscription up to a total of $111.99.
