BREO BOX Review Summer 2024

July is here, and so is the Summer 2024 BREO box! A week and a half after the summer solstice, I was excited to see this fun-packed box sitting on my doorstep - just in time for my birthday! Read below to see what was included.

Packaged similarly to the Spring 2024 Box, the summer version also included two substantial cardboard boxes and a cloth sack. All items arrived safely in this packaging, and I couldn't wait to dig in! On a side note - these cardboard boxes are perfect for wrapping up gifts, and the bags have proven useful for hauling home dirty laundry from family vacations!

MPOWERD Luci Solar Site Lights - Retail Value $79.95

The last couple of seasons, BREO Box has been pretty heavy on all things coffee. While I love coffee, I was ready to change things up, and I see that BREO box has taken note. Our first item in this summer box was a set of Solar Site Lights. On a recent trip to Scheels, we took notice of this set, and found them to be adorable. With a high retail value, I was impressed with not only the packaging, but the lights themselves. These petite solar bulbs have three brightness settings, can be placed on the included stakes or hung, and include a rechargeable solar case. Illuminating 1,000 square feet, these lights can be used not only for camping but picnics, patio areas, and anything else you can imagine. Lasting 20 hours on a single charge, the bulbs can be placed in their case and charged via solar power or USB-C. Once charged, the bulbs light up green and are ready to go!

BLENDI Pro+ Blender Bottle - Retail Value $59.95

My son Charlie drinks smoothies everyday. When he was 7, he purchased two strawberry plants with his own money and since has been reaping the rewards with his strawberry crop. This blender doesn't require a cord to run, and is instantly turned into a drinking cup. With four blades, the power behind this thing is strong, and chops up ice and berries easily. Leak-free, this 17 ounce bottle is BPA free and can run up to 7 times on a single charge. This blender is so easy to use and run, that Charlie can operate it on his own, right next to his strawberry patch. Also easy to wash, I am digging this inclusion!

Look at this happy guy! The Pro+ Blender Bottle was an item I didn't necessarily need, but is one that has made life easier and more convenient, especially for my son!

PANERGY Auto-Oscillating Mountable Multi-Flex Fan - Retail Value $19.99

Our family does quite a bit of tent camping, but if there is one thing I need to sleep, it's the sound of a fan. Included in this seasons box was an oscillating fan with multi-flex mountable legs. While it can attach to things like chair arms, strollers, or poles, the legs can be manipulated to stand on its own. With 3 speed settings, is spans 90 degrees from side to side when set on oscillate. On a full charge, this fan can work for up to 9 hours, and is not too noisy. Here in Minnesota it hasn't been overly hot this summer, but I can tell you this little treasure has already taken the #1 spot on my packing list for camping in two weeks! Great inclusion.

TOOLETRIES Grooming Organizer Mat - Retail Value $26.99

The next item we received was this hygenic silicone grooming organizing mat from Tooletries. This mat is designed to keep your grooming essentials clean and organized while on your vanity. Lightweight and portable, this mat has custom rests of things like your toothbrush, razor, phones and accessories. To be honest, this isn't an item I need in my bathroom. We live in a remodeled farm house with only one bathroom and not a ton of sink space. My husbands razor and toothbrush are tucked away in the medicine cabinet, and while a neat idea, just don't find it functional to use in our space. That being said, my hubby did like the material and look of this mat, and placed it in his toolbox to protect the bottom of his drawer and help organize his wrenches.

Moss Natural Mini Shoe Deodorizers - Retail Value $10.95

Next up was this set of mini shoe deodorizers. Filled with bamboo charcoal, these deodorizer bags are chemical free and odor free, but work like a magnet to attract odor and humidity from shoes. Lasting up to two years, they can be refreshed by placing them outside in the sun. With two boys in baseball, you can bet we have some stinky cleats in our house. I've tried Arm and Hammer sports spray and it has a really potent smell that just mixes with the stink. These bags not only helped the sweat dry out, but left them smelling natural and a heck of a lot less stinky. I'm a convert!

STATIK Go Hub 6-in-1 Portable Power Bank - Retail Value $39.99

My phone is always dead. Clearly my battery is in need of replacement but I am too stubborn. Like I mentioned above, we go tent camping quite often, and having a phone with a junky battery isn't a great situation. My husband has a charging bank he uses when he goes out west hunting, and does share, but it was great to receive my own! The last item we received this month was this 10,000mAh capacity 6-in-1 portable power bank. With three different inputs, 2 output ports, and an AC plug, this power bank works great. The bank itself charges quickly. Small enough to store in your purse, it is easy to tote around, and without cords to disconnect, is easy to keep track of. Overall, a great inclusion for a great box!

Value – Was This Box Worth It?

Yes, yes, yes! This is my fourth season of BREO Box, and I have to say, this is definitely my very favorite curation. We received six high-quality items that are found in US retail stores with reputable reviews. Five out of the six items were extremely useful to me, and while the mat wasn't my jam, it ended up being useful to my husband. The charging bank, blender, fan, and solar lights were all amazing and will be great for our upcoming camping trip, and for future use. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with this season's curation and am already looking forward to the Fall BREO box. What did you think of the Summer version?

I wanted to say I love that your son purchased 2 strawberry plants and is learning how to grow his own food! I knew he was your son too because he looks so much like you Becca. He’s adorable. On a different note, the breo box seems like it’s just not worth the risk and price tag. We know most boxes are not going to have all wins, but if just one or two items in this box aren’t slam dunks, it’s basically paying retail. Thank you as always for your reviews. I do wish there was an electric device box out there in the $50-75 range. Seems much better price point and I think one or two items a month would suffice.

Thank you so much for commenting AH! And thank you for saying Charlie looks like me – everyone always says he looks identical to my husband, so it’s nice to hear that I did some work too 🤣 He is my little gardener – he bought some corn seeds this year too, though with all of the rain we’ve gotten, aren’t sure if he will get a crop or not. Breo box is a risk, and while this month was a hit for me, know some of the other months won’t be. I agree on the $50-$75 range – I’ll be on the lookout for one to review!! Thanks again AH! ❤️
