CatLadyBox Review “Golden Whiskers” July 2024

CatLadyBox is a monthly subscription box for cat ladies (or anyone who is crazy about cats)! The $34.99 per month CatLadyBox has 2-3 cat-themed items – wearables, items for the home, books, etc., while the $39.99 per month Crazy CatLadyBox contains everything from the CatLadyBox plus a few items just for cats.

This is a review of the Crazy CatLadyBox.

First Impressions

I absolutely adore kitty cats! In my 36 years, I have never known life without one, so when the opportunity to review the CatLadyBox arrived, I snapped it right up. The little gal that will be helping me test out this box is my 15 year old best friend named Miley Mae. She has been with me through thick and thin, and while elderly, is still as sassy as ever. Let's dig in, shall we?!

Although I love most animals, cats are where it's at for me! I only have one precious feline, but I absolutely adore this subscription. Seeing this brown cardboard box with the kitty silhouette, is a highlight of my month. Packaged in black tissue paper held together by a sticker, it presents as a lovely gift that has the potential to hold anything from cat-themed jewelry, clothes, home decor, and more. If you subscribe to the Crazy CatLadyBox, you'll get a few treats for your furbaby, too.

Along with the items, this box also comes with an info sheet, featuring custom artwork on the opposing side. This month's art was created by Elena Savelyeva and features six cozy kitties snuggled on the couch with their mama. I really enjoy this inclusion because though it is just a content card, the artwork is great for adding to your fridge or bulletin board as an extra pop of color and fun!

The Breakdown – What’s Inside This Crazy Cat Lady Box

Perfect Hug Tee - Listed Value $22.99

I love fun tees, and this month's just might be my all time favorite. The deep violet color paired with the white print is super cute, especially because of the fun design. Who wouldn't enjoy a shirt with statements like "toe beans", "whisker kisses", and "fuzzy belly" on it?! Seriously though, this shirt is ultra soft and cuddly, and feels so good on. I ordered a medium, and it is pretty true to size. Appreciating the sweet nod to kitties, I loved this design and paired it with white shorts for the perfect summer outfit. I love it!

Wooden Cat Clips - Listed Value $11.99

I love inclusions that are cute and functional, so these cat clips were a great choice by Cat Lady! Here we received three wooden cat clips. Useful for closing bags, containing papers, or hanging clothes, these clips are probably the cutest ones I have ever seen. Featuring kitty silhouettes with fun colors and patterns, they coordinate with this month's shirt perfectly, and are just so dang cute.

Meowy Mop Slippers - Listed Value $15.99

The next item we received was really funny! Mop slippers! Each slipper features an embroidered kitty face, and a pull-off mop pad for each foot. "One size fits most" did include my size 10 foot, but my 9 year-old son over-took these! The shaggy fibers did pick up hair, and are quite slippery, so be careful when wearing. They are fun to use, and worked great for scooting around on the floors after my Deebot vacuumed and mopped - no footprints!! A fun inclusion that actual turned out to be more useful than I originally thought, our floors are in tip-top shape!

Ameowzing Notepad - Listed Value $7.99

Like I mentioned above, I love receiving fun, functional items, so I was happy to see this notepad included. Measuring 9" X 4.5", this paper is the perfect size for making lists. Adorned with kitty clipart around the edges, we received a thick stack that will be great for crossing out my daily to-dos!

Granny Bloomers Catnip Toy - Listed Value $4.99

Miley is 15 years old, so small toys just aren't really her thing, but she did bat around this pair of granny bloomers for a couple of minutes. She doesn't get crazy with catnip, but she does like to rub her face in it. The soft fabric featured a violet floral pattern that coordinated with all of the other items in the box, and my kids got a kick out of their shape! What a fun inclusion!

Caramel Candy Catnip Wand - Listed Value $5.99

Now this is a toy that Miley actually enjoyed! This caramel candy wand featured a catnip-filled candy shaped toy on a string. We did the ol' cast and reel, and she was chasing after it and batting it around. It was sure fun to see her acting like a kitten again!

Oh Miley! Isn't she just the sweetest?!

Key Takeaways

Cats are my very favorite animal, and I love adding fun little cat items to my everyday life, which is where the CatLadyBox comes in. I've been reviewing this box for several months now, and I have to say, this is one subscription box that I truly look forward to receiving. Every month it feels like Christmas, and I love the high-quality, functional, and fun items. This month's theme was really well put together, and I appreciated the violet and blue color theme! My favorite items this month were the t-shirt and mop slippers, but found everything useful. Miley especially appreciated the catnip wand this month, and I was really excited to see the old girl act like a kitten when playing with it. If fun cat-themed items are your jam, and you are looking for a monthly gift to yourself and your feline friend, this subscription is the one for you! I can't wait to see what's in store for August!

Your kitty is gorgeous!I love the picture of the two of you! Wasn’t sure if the tshirt was actually ombré? It might be the camera as you mentioned a color. Tshirt is cute. I wondered about the mop slippers but boy…what a concept.i could get this place much less hairy. If only I could get mop slippers for my kitty instead. She trails things everywhere! lol…but it’s worth it!

Thank you so much for commenting! Boy, that shirt does look ombre in that first photo – didn’t catch that until now, but it is one solid color. The slippers have been fun – gliding around is a lot quieter than walking – I was able to sneak up on my husband and scare him while wearing them! 🤣
