IMBUE Curl Liberating Sulphate Free Shampoo, 400 ml - Retail Value $9.99

Front of Imbue Shampoo for Cocotique July 2024

I’ve had the pleasure of trying several Imbue products before, and the Curl Liberating Sulphate Free Shampoo is another winner in their budget-friendly lineup. The clear gel texture caught my attention right away; it’s lightweight but works into a gentle lather that effectively cleanses stripping my curls of their natural moisture. Although I usually shy away from scented products, due to my sensitive skin and nose, the subtle fruity scent of this shampoo is just right and not too strong or overpowering. What I love most is how it leaves my hair feeling light and fresh, without weighing down my curls once they’ve dried. Definitely worth a try if you’re looking for a great shampoo option.

IMBUE Curl Restoring Intensive Mask, 300 ml - Retail Value $12.99

Front of Imbue Mask for Cocotique July 2024

I’m a big fan of a good hair mask, and the Imbue Curl Restoring Intensive Mask has been an absolute treat for my curls. This mask not only smells delightful (light enough for those of us who are scent-sensitive) but also performs brilliantly as a deep hair treatment. After using it, my curls feel noticeably softer and more manageable, making detangling a breeze and keeping frizz at bay throughout the day. What really impressed me was how healthy and bouncy my curls felt afterward. This mask has a luscious, creamy formula that delivers professional-level results, whether your hair is dry or just in need of some TLC.

IMBUE Curl Inspiring Conditioning Leave-In Spray, 200 ml - Retail Value $12.99

Front of Imbue Leave-in Spray for Cocotique July 2024

With my hair feeling extra dry lately, I was thrilled to see this Curl Inspiring Conditioning Leave-In Spray from Imbue in this month’s box. This is one product that hasn’t disappointed me yet. Right after applying, my curls felt wonderfully hydrated, soft, and more defined, all without that heavy, weighed-down feeling. One of the standout features for me was that there was no greasy residue or white cast left behind, even after using it for several days in a row; just light, touchable curls. I also noticed a significant reduction in frizz, which is always a win in my book. The scent is subtle and fresh, like the rest of the Imbue products, and not at all overpowering. Definitely my new go-to in my hair care routine.

IMBUE Curl Worshipping Shine Oil, 100 ml - Retail Value $9.99

Front of Imbue Shine Oil for Cocotique July 2024

The final gem from Imbue in this month’s box is their Curl Worshipping Shine Oil, which has quickly become a welcome part of my hair care. Now, I found the formula to be a bit more lightweight than expected, so I find myself using a little extra than usual to get that perfect level of hydration (but that’s just my personal preference). What I love most about the product is how gentle it is on my sensitive scalp, even with the subtle fruity scent consistent with the other Imbue products. The oil absorbs quickly, which is a huge plus, and it leaves my curls looking shiny, healthy, and beautifully hydrated. No irritation and no greasy residue, making it an excellent hair oil for anyone looking to add a little more shine to their days.

MADE-UP GOSSIP Hydrating and Exfoliating Clay Mask, 30 g - Retail Value $28.00

Front of Made-Up Gossip Clay Mask for Cocotique July 2024

I’m not the biggest fan of DIY masks, but the Made-Up Gossip Hydrating and Exfoliating Clay Mask is a product I’ve tried before, and it truly delivers on performance. The powder-to-paste concept is brilliantly executed; just a quarter-sized amount of powder and a few drops of water create a smooth, creamy clay mask without any of the usual mess. I love how simple and user-friendly it is, ensuring the perfect consistency every time without needing to break out the measuring cups. The mask sets in just 10 minutes and washes off easily, which is a time-saver. I was worried it might be too drying for my sensitive skin, but the 10% niacinamide in the formula works wonders, leaving my skin feeling both cleansed and hydrated.

Verdict

This was an awesome month for Cocotique! It included an entire hair care system, which comes in handy, starting with Imbue’s sulphate free shampoo. I appreciate how gently the shampoo cleanses my curls without stripping them of their moisture, despite giving me some lather, just how I like it. Imbue’s intensive mask is another win for me, deeply nourishing and softening my curls, allowing for simpler detangling and less frizz. The leave-in conditioning spray was a welcome addition to this box, and a product that I’m no stranger to; this spray hydrates and defines curls while effectively taming frizz without heavy residue. Last item up on Imbue’s docket: the shine oil. I am a big fan of the lightweight, non-greasy shine this gives to my curls. Finally, the clay mask from Made-Up Gossip… Despite being a DIY mask, this product does it all while being mess-free and user-friendly with no need for measurements. Overall, I thought this was a great box! The products went hand-in-hand for a lovely day of self-care, and the value is there.
