This is my very first venture into fashion styling boxes! I’ve tried services where you pick and rent pieces, but never one that works with a stylist to send me curated picks. So, needless to say, I’m pretty stoked!
Honestly, the older I get, the more comfortable I am with my style and what I genuinely like. I’ve never been one to chase trends — my style leans more toward the classic side. But somehow, I always cave to trends and end up with a closet divided between trendy pieces that don’t really fit my aesthetic and solid staples that I wear again and again.
My hope is that this box will help me finally hone in on my true style and discover pieces I wouldn’t pick for myself.
Stitch Fix is an online personal styling service and one of the most popular women's fashion subscriptions. You tell them all about your style and size preferences through their style quiz, and then they send you a package of carefully selected stylish goodies to try on at home. The styling fee is $20 a month for your stylist, but that fee goes towards any items you choose to keep as a discount.

First Impressions
The box arrived in perfect condition and dropped off right at my door. The moment it got there, I received a text message—super reassuring!
Inside, I was greeted by three cards:
- A summary card with the name, sizes, and prices of everything inside the box, plus a handy QR code to go straight to checkout if you want to keep everything.
- A welcome card that explains the basics of your subscription and what to do next.
- A Freestyle card with a cute note from my stylist and recommendations on how to style and wear the picks.
I love that all this information is also available online—it makes life so much easier. Plus, you can purchase the other items paired with your picks directly from their site.
What’s Inside
Beach Lunch Lounge Dawson Top – Retail Value $58
Size: S | Color: Camel
You can never have too many beach tops when you live in South Florida! I love the fabric and how lightweight this feels, but it’s just not for me. The cut is very boxy and made me look anything but styled. The fit did improve with some effort—tucking it into high-waisted jeans helped. Maybe it’ll work over shorts for a beach day? It’s just not my favorite cut, but the sizing and overall style did match my preferences.
Keeping? No.
Just USA Muriel High Rise Scissor Cut Bootcut Jean – Retail Value $68
Size: 2 | Color: Black
I have to commend them for sending jeans in the first box because jeans sizing is notoriously difficult to get right. Somehow, they NAILED it. These jeans have quite a bit of stretch, but the fit is perfect! I was super impressed, especially since I usually struggle with jeans being either too short or too long when they fit my waist.
The wash on these is amazing — super versatile and flexible, which is something I mentioned was important to me. I just wish they were a tad shorter because you 100% have to wear heels with these, or you’ll be dragging them around. The bootcut has just enough flare to give you that hourglass shape without being over the top. These jeans can easily be dressed up or down.
Keeping? Yes.
Skies Are Blue Boyfriend Oversized Blazer – Retail Value $88
Size: S | Color: Olive
A quarter of my closet is reserved for blazers and jackets — I love them. Even though I live in Florida, I adore layering, and lightweight blazers are perfect for that. I’ve been on the hunt for an oversized green blazer for a few months now, so I think they read my mind! This one has a medium-weight fabric, giving you that casual, boyfriend-style look. I love the roll-tab sleeves — they add a touch of style without trying too hard. Plus, it has a full-stretch lining that makes it super comfortable.
I tried it as my stylist suggested, with the heels, the beach top, and the jeans, and it definitely gave me back-to-school vibes! But maybe I’m the teacher in this scenario? I ended up swapping the top and shoes for something else, and it was definitely more my style. The fit is my favorite part — it’s perfect on the shoulders but still has that oversized look I love.
Keeping? Absolutely!
Gemma Sleeveless Open Back Fitted Dress – Retail Value $49
Size: S | Color: Black
Alright, this was a bold pick. I usually shy away from body-hugging pieces—not because I don’t like my body, but because they usually fit me oddly. So, I was surprised by how this looked. It honestly fits like a glove! I think the elastic at the back by the waist is what makes it so flattering—it didn’t give me that potato-sack vibe I usually get with slip dresses.
While I usually wear nipple covers, I love that the tank sleeves and wide back make it just right for wearing a bra. You can still have that backless touch without sacrificing your bra.
Keeping? Maybe.
Vince Camuto Caide Leather Heel – Retail Value $99
Size: 7 | Color: Tan
The addition of shoes was a really nice touch, especially because it helped me see how the jeans would look when properly styled. Plus, it forced me to try something new. These are classic pumps, but the heel gives them a modern twist. I do think the style she suggested had that back-to-school, maybe back-to-work vibe. I love Vince Camuto shoes, and if I were in love with these, I’d keep them since I know they’ll be comfy. But it’s tricky to say a pair of shoes will be comfortable after only a few days of trying them.
Keeping? No.

Takeaways
I have to say, this was quite an interesting box. I’m still shocked at how well everything fits. Sure, I know I don’t have the most difficult sizes to shop for, but I was still very impressed with the fit of everything.
In terms of styling choices, I think they did a really good job. I could see myself picking up the dress and jacket on my own at any store. The jeans? I would certainly try them on. The only thing that missed the mark was the shoes, mainly because leather-suede heels feel a bit old-school to me, and I don’t think I’d get much use out of them in South Florida.
Overall, I was really happy with everything. I genuinely enjoyed trying everything on and experimenting with the different styling options they suggested. Stitch Fix both understood my style but also made it easy to broaden it, one piece at a time. I'm excited to continue to see how the choices from my stylist changes as she gets to know my wants more while using her expertise to keep me current.
