Bomibox KBeauty Review “Grails Hydration & Clarity Collection” September 2024

Ready to show off your summer glow?

This month’s Bomibox is a love letter to the holy grail products that have cemented their place in every K-beauty lover's routine. The focus on hydration and clarity is just what we needed for post-summer care—especially if you spent the season basking in the sun and (oops) maybe neglected your skincare a bit. And, spoiler alert, this box included the viral toner of the season.

Bomibox is a monthly Korean beauty subscription box. Each month, you get eight full-sized and deluxe sample-sized Korean skincare, makeup, beauty, and body products.

This is a review of Bomibox Luxe, which is $39.99 per month.

This box was sent to us at no cost to review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes.)

First Impressions

Everything was neatly packaged and tightly arranged, ensuring nothing was broken—always a win!

What’s Inside:

COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser (150ml) – Retail Value: $14

Such an iconic cleanser! This was all the rage back in 2021, and that’s when I first gave in to the buzz. Unfortunately, just like back then, I’m still not a fan. This cleanser is too drying for my skin. While it's marketed as a gentle, non-stripping option for sensitive skin, my face just felt tight after using it. Plus, the tea tree oil scent is STRONG—so if you’re not into that astringent aroma, this might not be for you.

W.DRESSROOM Dress & Living Clear Perfume No.45 Morning Rain (70ml) – Retail Value: $14.98

At first, I got a bit too excited, thinking it was an actual perfume… and yes, I did spray it on myself, only to realize it’s a clothes and living perfume. 😂 But hey, who says you can’t use it as a personal fragrance, right? The scent is divine—fresh like morning dew—and it lasts a good while. It reminded me of the closet refreshers I saw everywhere in Japan, and now it’s become a staple in my own closet to freshen up jackets after a long day.

Abib Collagen Eye Crème Jericho Rose Tube (30ml) – Retail Value: $26

I’m a fan of Abib, and this eye cream didn’t disappoint. The texture is creamy yet lightweight, making it easy to apply without overdoing it. I’m picky about eye creams, and this one hits all the marks: no spillage, no overpowering scent, just pure hydration and soothing goodness.

ANUA Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner (40ml) – Retail Value: $6 for 250ml

Alright, the viral toner has entered the chat! I was thrilled to see this, even if it’s just a sample size. Everyone’s been raving about its ability to balance moisture and soothe the skin. I recently got a chemical peel, so my skin was in need of some serious TLC. And this toner delivered—I can’t measure if it really dropped my skin’s temperature by 14%, but it definitely felt calmer and less irritated. This might just become my new go-to for post-treatment care.

ANUA Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil (20ml) – Retail Value: $6.30 for 200ml

This cleansing oil is from the same line as the toner but didn't impress me as much. It felt more like a face oil than a cleansing oil, and it was so watery that my skin seemed to absorb it rather than allowing it to emulsify and cleanse properly.

It also left an oily film behind—not a fan. Plus, the strong scent might be off-putting for some. A sad moment for this cleansing oil fan.

Be The Skin Pore Zero 30-Second Exfoliator (100g) – Retail Value: $20

It’s like a hybrid between a moisturizer and a physical exfoliator. The texture is creamy, but you can feel the cellulose balls forming as you massage it in, providing that extra exfoliation. I tried it on my hand first—wow, even my hand’s pores looked smaller! It leaves your skin baby-smooth. Just a tip: use it on dry skin for the best results. If your skin is even the slightest bit damp, it won’t give you the same results.

Barulab The Clean Vegan GREENTEA Mask (1pc) – Retail Value: $3.15

I’m always down for a Barulab sheet mask! Their fiber sheets cling perfectly to your face and feel incredibly soothing. The only downside is the price—it's a bit steep for a sheet mask. I used this one right after opening the box, and wow, I wish I could wear it forever. So calming!

Elizavecca Tea Tree Deep Power Ringer Mask (1pc) – Retail Value: $1.19

We’ve seen this mask before (back in April’s review), so it was a bit of a letdown to get a repeat. Still, it’s a great mask—fits well, drenches your skin in serum, and the price is unbeatable.
