BREO BOX Review Fall 2024
September has arrived, and with it are....tornadoes?! Living in the upper midwest, we do once in a while see tornados, but tonight, we had TWO touch down about 20 miles east of our house! Yikes! A little scary to say the least, we headed into the basement and found that more than one of the items from the Fall 2024 BREO Box proved to be useful while hunkering down. Now, let's dive in!
Packaged similarly to the Summer 2024 Box, the summer version also included two substantial cardboard boxes and a cloth sack. All items arrived safely in this packaging, and I couldn't wait to dig in! On a side note - these cardboard boxes are perfect for wrapping up gifts, and the cloth bags have proven very useful for hauling home dirty laundry from family vacations!
AquaSonic Elite Water Flosser - Retail Value $49.95
A couple of years ago, it seemed everyone around me had jumped onto the water flosser wagon, so I decided to try one out. I bought a cheap one to see if this is something I would actually use, but ended up with a piece of junk. Getting pelted in the face with water wasn't any easier than flossing, so I stuffed it back in the cupboard where it stayed until this week. That being said, I was a little excited to try out the AquaSonic Elite. The reviews were actually decent for this modestly priced water flosser. It came with four different heads, and was easy to fill. Not only is there a "Soft" setting, but there is also a "Quick Jet" setting that allows you to spray at your own pace. This, I discovered, is exactly what I needed to efficiently clean my teeth without drenching the entire bathroom in the process. Not only is this flosser waterproof, but it also comes with a charging cord and travel bag. So far, I am impressed with the settings and the quality, and have already noticed a difference in my teeth.
KeySmart Alltul Multi-Tool - Retail Value $9.99
The next item I received was a multi-tool by Alltul. This stainless steel keychain tool contains a bottle opener, Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, hex key with four different sizes, a wire cutter, and more. Designed for bikers in mind, this does have measurements for spokes, but is a great tool for anyone. Lightweight with a carabiner attachment, this clips easily onto my bag to be prepared everywhere I go! Also, if your multi-tool breaks under normal wear in tear in the first two years, they will replace it! Nice!
MPOWERD Luci Pro Series Solar Lantern + Power Bank - Retail Value $49.95
I have to say, this lantern was one of my favorite items. Like I mentioned above, we had some pretty nasty weather hit our area, so a trip down to the basement was in order. Along with the candles and radio, we brought down this amazing inflatable lantern charger! As you can see from the photos, when folded up, it looks likes like a transparent coaster, but it blows up to be a solar charging lantern! Featuring four lighting modes and a battery level indicator, this lantern also includes an adjustable base and top strap for hanging, and a built-in, two-way USB port. Creating a romantic glow, we have utilized this lantern for way more than I thought we would. Great for reading sessions in the boys' rooms, basement trips, camping, and catfishing by the river, this lantern is versatile and lightweight! Lasting from 5-50 hours (depending on the mode you are using) to charge, you can plug in the included cord to a USB port OR set it out in the sun! What a great inclusion!
Carson LED Neck Light - Retail Value $20.00
As I have mentioned before, I like to craft. I love any type of art project, but especially enjoy watercoloring and seed beading. Seed beads are small, and sometimes when the night creeps in and I am working on a project, my lamps just don't give off enough light and I have to quit. Now, with the inclusion of this fancy LED Neck Light, I can continue on all evening! Containing two COB LED lights with a high and low brightness setting, this neck light can be manipulated into a variety of positions for effective lighting. With a soft neck pad for comfort, this sits around your neck and is great for crafting, reading, sewing, and more! Using three AAA batteries, the light is quite bright, and makes late night projects a lot easier to complete!
STATIK PowerPivot Cable - Retail Value $13.99
Next up was this power pivot cable. Containing a USB and USB-C end, this charges my MacBook quickly and efficiently with its military-grade nylon braiding. It also features a pivoting end on the USB-C side, that allows devices to be tipped and turned when charging without affecting the cord. I tend to be really hard on cords and don't take care of them as well as I should, so I am always happy to receive a quality version.
THAT! INVENTIONS Butterlift - Retail Value $24.95
I have to say, I think this butter dish is the most interesting inclusion of the month. Not something I was expecting, but something I actually needed, this butter dish is definitely cooler than my old one! With an ergonomic design and measurement markings on the dish, the quality of this piece is impressive. While I didn't realize a butter dish could be jarring to the wrist, this particular version includes a retaining wall and retractable kickstand that puts your wrist in a natural, ergonomic position. To be honest, we haven't been using the kickstand, but have found the magnetic cover a bonus at keeping things neat and tidy. Even though we aren't utilizing all of the exciting features, we have found this to be a great dish that makes measuring butter easier and more kid friendly!
TOOLETRIES The Koby Lite Dopp Kit - Retail Value $39.99
The last item I received this month was a 100% silicone and leak resistant toiletries bag. This sleek black bag features a subtle textured pattern, and can fit all of the necessities for an overnight trip. Gender neutral, my husband decided to give it a try for his camping trip, and thought the size and weight was about perfect. As long as the shampoo and conditioner don't leak, we should be in good shape!
Value – Was This Box Worth It?
To me, yes it was! This is my second Fall BREO Box, and I have say, this was definitely my favorite. All seven items proved to be useful to someone in my immediate family, and the lantern and charger ended up coming in very handy during our power outage. I also appreciated the fact that there wasn't necessarily a "hero" item, yet a few similarly priced items to balance things out in case an item wasn't liked. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with this season's curation and am already looking forward to the Winter BREO box. What did you think of the fall version?
