Levain Bakery has been a New York institution for almost 30 years, and for good reason. Their Cookie Club program gives subscribers a chance to sample and enjoy the wonderful varieties of cookies they offer. Our 8 cookies arrived this week, and everyone in the office was more than ready to dig in. Who can resist these delicous morsels? And what a treat to have them delivered fresh!

Cookie Club is Levain’s subscription program. Per their website:
Every month, members will receive a pre-selected 8-pack box of Levain Bakery cookies (with 10% off + free shipping on every box). Some months, members will receive early access to our seasonal flavor, a month before it’s available to the public! You’ll find out the cookie box of the month one week before it ships and receive an email with tracking once the cookies are baked and ready to go.
The Cost: $44.10, including shipping
Where do they ship? The Cookie Club is available for Nationwide Shipping within the contiguous United States (excludes Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico).
What cookies will I get? Cookie club members receive an email approximately one week before shipping that announces the pre-selected cookies. At this time you are able to log into your account and change the order if it is not to your liking or have an allergy. If you do not change your order, those are the cookies that will be sent.

About this box
This was shipped to the office in a brilliant blue box with subtle logos. It was expertly packaged with each cookie snuggly in place. The box was the perfect size to hold two bags of 4 cookies each. And it looked beautiful, like one would expect when picking up from the bakery itself (which means this would make a great gift).
What's In the Box?
Cookies! These eight cookies are oversized in the best way, and packed with flavor. Weighing 6 ounces each, they are an extra-satisfying snack for one, or can definitely be shared!
In this box, we received 2 of each of the following:
- Chocolate Chip Walnut
- Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip
- Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip
- Oatmeal Raisin
The box comes with instructions on how to warm up the cookies. Just like last time, tried them both ways: straight out of the box, as well as warm and gooey. They needed a slightly longer baking time than was recommended. They tasted fresh and lovely at room temperature, but baking them certainly elevated the experience to that of homemade cookies. Grab a cold glass of milk- and enjoy!
The office favorite from the previous box was the Chocolate Chip Walnut, so it was no surprise that many of us reached for those first! With that classic combination of rich chocolate and crunchy walnuts, they were spectacular, yet again.
Calling all chocolate lovers! The Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie has it all. Rich and gooey, you really can't go wrong with this powerhouse of a cookie.
The Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip was most certainly the most flavorful of the bunch. It had a great mix of sweet and salty flavors, and the peanut butter chips combined well with the dark chocolate. If you like an intense flavor, this is the cookie for you.
The Oatmeal Raisin cookies were chewy and sweet, and best enjoyed warmed!
The Verdict
Another win for the Levain Bakery Cookie Club subscription box. This was a welcome delivery at our office, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the variety of flavors sent to us. With an elegant and inviting presentation, this box would make an excellent gift.
