First Impressions

The monthly Beauty Heroes delivery comes in a white box with a red-dotted sticker sealing it. Inside, our products of the month fit perfectly.

This month we're treated to two products by Josh Rosebrook, a luxury beauty brand dedicated to clean, high-performance skincare and haircare. It's known for its commitment to natural, organic ingredients, and emphasis on sustainable practices and holistic wellness. This was my first experience with Josh Rosebrook, and these details are evident in the products.

The last time Josh Rosebrook popped up in Beauty Heroes was December 2022, which was before my time, but some of you may have experienced the products listed on this card which suggests how our new deliveries could work into a ritual.

The Products

BioIdentical Collagen Serum, 1 oz - Retail Value $110

This serum uses advanced bio-fermentation technology to create a collagen that mimics your skin's own. This vegan, micro-molecular collagen is meant to hydrate, protect, and improve skin’s appearance with regular use. It's enhanced with plant-based ingredients to boost collagen production, strengthen the skin barrier, and guard against environmental damage. It's totally sustainably crafted. So impressive.

The consistency is light and smooth, and the scent is a honeyed floral that speaks "spa" to me. It's a gentle product that's lovely for most skin types including sensitive skin—it nourishes and protects without causing irritation. You apply it after cleansing and before moisturizing.

Essential Balm Cleanse, 3.3 fl oz - Retail Value $50

And speaking of cleansing, Beauty Heroes has been hooking us up with some really stellar cleansing balms lately. Here's the latest edition. It gently removes makeup and impurities while nourishing your skin. Packed with plant oils, algae, and herbal extracts, it hydrates and soothes, leaving the skin soft and balanced. It also smells glorious—similar and compatible to the collagen serum above, and when used together you walk away with such a peaceful aroma to enjoy.

I will say this balm is thick and takes some effort to squeeze out of the bottle. Perhaps it will loosen as I use more. I'm used to seeing balms in jars. But the tube doesn't make me love the product any less!

Verdict

Beauty Heroes costs $58.95. Our lovely products add up to a retail value of $160. This is an objectively awesome value, and the experience of using these clean, natural glories morning and night has been a joy. They invite gentleness into the changing and churning of seasons.

Keep track of your subscriptions by adding Beauty Heroes to your wishlist or subscription list!

🌲 a mother who wants to have just as much fun as my kids do

🌳 an outdoors-lover who prioritizes spending time outside with my family

🌲 a low-maintenance self-carer

🌳 a general hungry person with an unstoppable sweet tooth

...and doing it all with energy, delight, and jokes along the way.

Please put the size of each product in your reviews. It is difficult to see the teeny tiny print in the picture. Thank you.

Hey Christine, valid ask! I always include the size in the header where I list the name of the product. So for the Hero product this month, it’s listed as “BioIdentical Collagen Serum, 1 oz – Retail Value $110.” The cleanser is 3.3 fl oz. Hope that helps!

Very generic review probably taken directly from flyer. Come on MSA put some effort in for something you got for free.

Hey Kristin, I’m sorry you were left underwhelmed here. When I take direct quotes from the info card I always acknowledge it, but I did paraphrase a lot in this review. Truthfully I felt the products were beautiful but straightforward this month, and I didn’t have a ton of my own commentary to add. I take your feedback to heart, though, and will dig deeper next time.
