First Impressions
I absolutely adore kitty cats! In my 36 years, I have never known life without one, so when the opportunity to review the CatLadyBox arrived, I snapped it right up. The little gal that will be helping me test out this box is my 15 year old best friend named Miley Mae. She has been with me through thick and thin, and while elderly, is still as sassy as ever. Let's dig in, shall we?!
Although I love most animals, cats are where it's at for me! I only have one precious feline, but I absolutely adore this subscription. Seeing this brown cardboard box with the kitty silhouette, is a highlight of my month. Packaged in black tissue paper held together by a sticker, it presents as a lovely gift that has the potential to hold anything from cat-themed jewelry, clothes, home decor, and more. If you subscribe to the Crazy CatLadyBox, you'll get a few treats for your furbaby, too.
Along with the items, this box also comes with an info sheet, featuring custom artwork on the opposing side. This month's art was created by Jesse Jarldane and features a really cool black cat scene encompassing all things spooky! I really enjoy this inclusion because though it is just a content card, the artwork is great for adding to your fridge or bulletin board as an extra pop of fun!
The Breakdown – What’s Inside This Crazy Cat Lady Box
Black Cats Rule Tee - Listed Value $22.99
Cute tees are the best! One of my very favorite aspects of this box is the inclusion of the monthly shirt, and this month was super cute! This ultra-soft grey tee has a black cat on it with the wording "Black Cats Rule" and "A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere." Super cute and perfect for the Black Cats themed box, this does coordinate with Halloween really well and is probably one of my favorites designs to date. I ordered the size medium, and it fits pretty true to size. The sizing is unisex, and this particular fabric is a little on the stretchy side, so I was able to knot the bottom for a trendier look. Paired with distressed jeans and a flannel, this makes for the cutest outfit ever!
Velvet Noir Black Cat - Listed Value $19.99
The next item we received was this velvet noir black cat. 11" X 4" in size, this beauty is sleek and fuzzy. This statue really adds to my Halloween decor, creating a unique look. I had a cat named "Toby" growing up that looked just like this piece of art, so it was a welcome item to my home.
Black Cat Posh Pouch - Listed Value $14.99
Following the Black Cats theme well, we also received this velvety kitty head zipper pouch. Sewn with a velvet fabric, the black vinyl inside fabric is a little too crinkly for my liking, but I do love the design. Featuring two pointy ears and a black zipper pull, this is the perfect nod to kitties without being over the top. Fitting an iPhone 11 Pro perfectly, this isn't huge, but it does hold a good amount of toiletries and is really cute.
Meowgical Butterfly Catnip Toy - Listed Value $5.99
While Miley isn't the biggest fan of toys, this one had crinkly wings, so she was a little more excited about it. Precious in design, this looks similar to the velvet statue, but has wings that slip on and off over the head. Fun to toss and just an overall cute little cat decoration, this was one of my favorite toys to date!
Purrfect Paw Catnip Wand - Listed Value $6.99
This next toy that we received was of the wand variety. Featuring an embroidered kitty paw with a black feather, this could be casted in front of Miley to chase. Though she doesn't look too intrigued here, she does actually enjoy this type of toy more than the plain plush ones. Catnip is pretty irresistible, but it seems to put Miley to sleep rather than rile her up!
