Ipsy is a monthly beauty and makeup subscription box. For $14 per month, you get five full-sized or deluxe-sized products, plus a cute makeup bag.
This is one of our top recommendations if you are looking for a subscription box — the value and sample sizes are amazing. Just like Birchbox, Ipsy sends out many different variations of their bag each month — so my review is just one of the bag variations you might receive!

First Impressions
Each month, Ipsy subscribers get a makeup bag in addition to their items. This month’s theme is ‘‘Beauty Nightmares,’’ and it couldn’t be more fitting. Plus, the makeup bag’s design is absolutely perfect for the spooky season! I’m especially loving the crystal ball resin charm that serves as the zipper, adding a unique, magical touch. A fun, well-curated bag that captures the Halloween vibes beautifully.
Included is a product card that features a list of the products and beauty tips.

BOBBI BROWN COSMETICS Vitamin Enriched Face Base Moisturizer and Primer, 15 ml - Retail Value $25.00
I’m a big fan of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, and this Vitamin Enriched Face Base Moisturizer and Primer is a luxurious multitasker. This product does double duty as both a rich, nourishing moisturizer and a smoothing primer, making it perfect for simplifying my routine. While the texture initially seemed thick, it actually has a lovely, gel-like consistency that melts right into my skin, leaving it soft, hydrated, and perfectly prepped without any greasy or sticky residue. I really appreciate the infusion of vitamins B, C, and E, which gives my skin that extra boost of radiance and moisture. The fresh, subtle hint of lemon adds an uplifting touch, making it feel pampering every time I use it. It keeps my skin smooth and ready for makeup without any pilling, and on days I skip foundation, it leaves my skin feeling naturally radiant with a comfortable ''naked'' feel. A definite go-to for flawless application and a perfectly glowing look!
FENTY BEAUTY Semi-Matte Lipstick in The MVP, 0.8 g - Estimated Retail Value $4.22
Oooh, Fenty Beauty! This Semi-Matte Lipstick in the shade ‘‘The MVP’’ offers a bold look that’s a fun addition to any lipstick fan’s collection. This blue-red instantly amps up a look with just one swipe, making it great for both daytime and evening wear. I love that the sample size of this product still has that sleek, sturdy packaging; it feels just like a full-sized lipstick. The formula glides on smoothly with a creamy, semi-matte finish that gives the look of matte but feels lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear, unlike some other matte lipsticks I’ve tried in the past. It’s the kind of bold red that feels just right for the Halloween season.

MOONSLICE BEAUTY Pressed Blush in Gorgeous, 5.5 g - Retail Value $15.00
Moonslice Beauty is a brand that’s new to me, but their Pressed Blush in the shade ‘‘Gorgeous’’ truly lives up to its name. It’s a pretty pop of color that brings a fresh, natural flush. The finely milled powder feels silky and smooth, blending seamlessly without leaving any harsh lines or wrinkles, and I love how buildable it is. I appreciate the rich pigmentation that allows for a customizable look, and the fact that it’s cruelty-free is a big plus for me. The packaging has a cute, vintage charm to it, and it’s an adorable addition to any vanity. While the shade is a bit more pink than I’d have chosen for myself, it’s versatile enough that a little dab can go a long way, making it both flattering and adaptable across various skin tones. Overall, a nice go-to blush that’s both fun and functional!

TOYFACTORY Oatbae Hyaluronic Oil Makeup Remover, 20 ml - Estimated Retail Value $7.20
Makeup removers are one of those nice-to-haves for me. This ToyFactory Oatbae Hyaluronic Oil Makeup Remover is a real treat for my skin at the end of the day. It effectively melts away even the most stubborn, waterproof makeup. It contains soothing oat extract and hydrating hyaluronic acid, which locks in moisture as it cleanses. While the formula is impressive, the packaging is a bit of a letdown — the applicator is tough to squeeze, which can make getting the product out more difficult than it should be. However, the makeup remover itself is a solid performer, effortlessly removing bold lipstick and pigmented blush without any scrubbing. Though I still prefer to double cleanse for that completely fresh feel, this vegan, hydrating remover has been a welcome and gentle addition to my routine.
PUREHEALS Centella 80 Eye Cream, 8 ml - Estimated Retail Value $7.74
I am really enjoying this Centella 80 Eye Cream from PureHeals! What a refreshing treat for my under-eye area, combining the soothing benefits of centella with a creamy yet gel-like texture that’s perfect for delicate skin. I love how calming and hydrated it feels; the lightweight consistency absorbs quickly without any greasy residue, leaving my skin soft, moisturized, and slightly bouncy. The fresh, natural scent is a lovely touch — it’s subtle and fades quickly, making it non-intrusive. This cream has proven to be an excellent base for under-eye makeup as well, without causing any creasing or pilling. Definitely a keeper in my skincare routine.
The Verdict
This was a great month for Ipsy Glam Bag! ToyFactory’s makeup remover works really well and is super handy in travel size, though I wish it were a bit easier to dispense. Fenty Beauty’s lipstick in The MVP is another win, with its blood-red fitting the spooky theme perfectly, with sturdy sample packaging that feels substantial. While Moonslice Beauty’s blush in Gorgeous is not a perfect match for my skin tone, it’s certainly impressive, swatching beautifully with its highly pigmented, buildable formula. I was really impressed with the Bobbi Brown Cosmetics face base, which leaves my skin smooth and prepped, with just the right amount of hydration. Lastly, the eye cream from PureHeals was another highlight; its fresh, natural scent and creamy gel texture provide a refreshing dose of hydration. Overall, I thought this was a well-curated bag. The included makeup bag itself was a standout, perfectly themed for the season; plus, the product variation was solid, and the value is there.
